Vehicle has vibration and makes a humming noise at all speeds. When hard braking the vehicle pulls to the right. Took vehicle to a local dobb's tire and auto center and then diagnosed vehicle with excessive right, front movement at the transmission. Possibly an internal stub axle? repair shop advised that there was a technical service bulletin from October 2019 stating the same issue. Repair shop also had another 2016 Malibu in for an oil change and upon their multi-point inspection they also found excessive movement with the right, front axle at the transmission.

Stabilitrak code appears on dashboard - causing low or no acceleration, shaking when still and while in park. Meter reads as a misfire code; total tune up was conducted (replaced all plugs & wiring/coil pack); was stable for about 3 days and then stabilitrak code reappeared with car shaking again.
First time this happen I was on the freeway going around 70 mph when the check engine light when on and a massage saying engine power is reduce the car begun to shake and speed when down to around 40 mph from 70 mph in seconds, I keep accelerating but the car was not picking up any speed even though my rpm when up to 4 and 5 my car wasn't going any faster. This happen over and over again. I took the car back to the dealer first couple of times they said nothing was wrong with the car. But the issue continue now after so many times they figure out that some sensors need to be replace and also the accelerator pedal was not working. I really hope this is fix.
Driving down the highway when check engine light flashed, car "squealed", car started shaking, and transmission gave out. I could not accelerate past first gear. In the middle of rush hour traffic, had to coast off the highway to safety. No prior notification (lights, warnings, noises) that there was a transmission issue. Car just recently exceeded the 100000 mile power train warranty. Was notified it was the wake plate that failed. Considering all of the other chevy owners having this same issue, I think chevy should at the very least acknowledge this issue.
I was driving and the car began to shake and jerk, and then the alerts across the dash came up as "service esc", "service traction", and "engine power reduced". I took it to a chevy dealership and was told the throttle body needed to be replaced. After paying $550. 00 for the repair the car seemed to work fine until recently, only two months after the initial repair the same exact thing has happened, and now the dealership is telling me that they do not know what is wrong with the car, there is no recall and I'll either have to trade the car in (which I can't afford to do) or just drive it and hope the problem will correct itself. I am beyond scared to drive it as my daughter is in the car with me, and I do not want to be driving a death trap down the highway. Please help.
This is the second time this happened. I was driving on I-75 in michigan doing 75 miles an hour. Suddenly that esc service, traction control and reduced engine power display showing on the dash. The car started to shake violently. It immediately slowed itself down in heavy traffic. Barely making it off the side of the road without causing an accident. Dealership tells me there's nothing they can do about it.

While driving down the road on 7/10/16 my 2013 chevy Malibu lost power, engine light and traction control light came on and went from 55-60 mph to 20 mph. When trying to accelerate more the car could shake violently. After stopping and turning the car off it would not restart. The car was towed to kerry Chevrolet in alexandria, ky. After diagnostic testing they determined that the fuel pump needed replaced. On 8/10/16 while driving down the highway while in vacation in florida the car again started to lose power, the engine began to slip or miss and jerk. Again engine light came on. Car died three times while on the road trying to get it to a safe place for a tow truck to tow it. It was taken to a dealership and the cam shaft sensor was replaced. Car continues to hesitate and miss.
First repair, airbag service required. The dealership claimed it was a loose wire. 2nd repair, esc maintenance required, traction service required, engine power reduced, vehicle will not leave neutral. If gas is applied vehicle jumps and shakes. 3rd is same as 2nd and 4th visit is same as previous except when I received ownership of the vehicle it could not make it out of the parking lot. After mentioning the lemon law the dealership is now trying to blame this technically 5th visit on an ignition coil even though esc maintenance message was displayed with traction control, engine pwr reduced, the vehocle was still shakig, and now the check engine light is on when it wasn't before.

Since purchase brand new, my cars rpm's have fluttered between 2000 and 2500, but I did not have any problems until recently. Out of nowhere, my car started shuddered when it was idling in drive position and foot on the brake. It scared me, so I decided not to drive it for awhile. Then I had to take in it for some body work, when I got home from the estimate I stopped to get the mail. Car was in park idling, I put it in drive and pushed on the gas and it did not move! the rpm's stay stuck at 2500 when I took my foot off the gas. I put in back in park then back in drive and accelerated and it still would not move. I turned the car off for a few minutes, restarted it, and got it just far enough to get into my driveway. It does not move but check engine light did not come on until after it broke down!.
The engine light came on and a code read engine power reduced service esc. My car was shaking and would not gain speed. I was finally able to make it off the highway and stopped to see if I could figure out what was wrong. Could not see anything wrong. We got back in the car and everything seemed to be working okay now so we headed home. We got almost home when once again my car lost all speed and we were almost hit by another car. This has happened on several occassions.
I was picking my little brother up from school I was at the light and the car started to shake violently and engine reduced power light came on is does this on and off and this is not safe for any driver.

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu maxx. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer last year for three manufacturer recall repairs which did not fix the failure. The contact stated that months after the vehicle was taken to the dealer, the vehicle would not shift gears properly and the vehicle was shaking and vibrating randomly with no warning. The contact had to apply force to the brake pedal and if it was released, the vehicle randomly stalled. The vehicle was to be taken back to the dealer for further inspection and diagnosis to determine the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and they provided no remedy. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. Dyd.

There is something wrong with the steering that cause the cruise control to accelerate while driving, there is issues with braking in the, the transmission is sticking or not always working, and the car shakes or requires you to force turn it at low speeds like up exist ramps. This has gone on for quite a while I have called several dealerships and the main number on the recalls and they just keep telling me no parts are available. This is my only car and I have no money for another how do they expect people to depend on their cars or survive when transportation is needed. Why aren't these parts being made faster or why aren't people provided any other solutions?.

The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that while driving 60 mph, the check engine and engine power reduced warning lights illuminated as the vehicle began shaking and decelerating independently. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnosis or repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 93,541.
During the deep winter we had in detroit starting last Jan - the car reduces speed and engine power reduced/service esc/service traction message comes- this happen endless times and stopped in Feb 2014 then began this past week Jan 8th, 2015 and continues to do so. The car will start shaking violently and drops speed and power eng reduced message comes - even travelling at 70 miles with 2 children inn the icy, snowy roads of mi . I have been lucky nothing happened yet but looking at the chevy forums and others, this is a Chevrolet/gm defect that needs a recall. The dealerships are aware that there is a throttle body issue but we all can do is incur the cost to diagnose how exactly to solve this issue. Gm needs to be held accountable before someone dies on the roads.

I have a 2007 chevy Malibu that shudders and wants to jerk forward when I come to a stop. The problem has happened to my wife and I on four separate occasions; always after a trip of more than 50 miles. The first time this happened was on a trip to las vegas when we got off the freeway. We took the car to a transmission specialist and after waiting 45 minutes, he ran some tests and could not duplicate the problem. We drove home to CA and the same thing occurred when we arrived at the first stop. Two weeks ago we drove 98 miles to moore park and experienced the same problem. Last week we drove 48 miles to victorville and the car kept shuddering at every stop sign and traffic light we came to. It does so when I decelerate and start hitting the brakes. Acts like it is searching for gears and wants to lunge forward or pull away. I took the car to the dealer yesterday April 23 and after putting out $98, the technician could not duplicate the problem. I called gm yesterday and their customer service advisor was of no help. Now I know why american car manufacturers are in trouble.
