Accelerator Stuck Problems of Chevrolet S10

The accelerator pedal became stuck, while driving. The consumer almost experienced two accidents. The a/c had become inoperative and the service dealer was unable to duplicate the problem. Scc.

This report is being submitted by sgt j passiglia of the independnece, mo police traffic safety unit. This vehicle was involved in a vehicular accident . The driver reported that as he pulled into a driveway the accelerator stuck causing him to lose control. He applied the brake but the truck would not stop. The vehicle struck a pedestrian. His injuries are very serious. Possible fatality. The driver was not impaired. The physical evidence was consistent with the driver's statement. While driving vehicle suddenly accelerated. Accelerator suddenly stuck when applying gas on an incline. Throttle became stuck, causing vehicle to strike a wall . Consumer tried to contact GMC, but had no luck. There was one person injured in accident.

While traveling at highway speeds accelerator will stick and the speed gradually goes up. To make car stop, consumer has to put foot under the accelerator pedal and pull back up. Consumer feels this is a safety issue.
