Two problems related to brake abs warning light have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Silverado. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving at 30 mph abs warning light came on. While this light illuminated the abs motor did not shut off. Consumer had to pull the fuse to shut the abs off.
There was a loud squeaking noise coming from the steering area and the abs light was blinking. The dealer replaced the abs module.
