Windshield Problems of Chevrolet Silverado

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado. While the contact was washing the vehicle, the windshield shattered. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 22,000.

With frost on the windshield, engaging the defroster will melt the frost on the exterior of the window, but it also wets the inside of the cab, causing all of the windows to have fog which will not let you see. This also occurred in December while driving home from waxahachie, snow was falling and the temperature was at 35 degrees and falling with ice starting to accumulate on the windshield. I engaged the defroster to clear the ice, but all of the windows fogged up so fast that I barely got pulled over to the side of the road before I couldn't see at all. It took the truck an additional 15 minutes of running to clear enough of the fog of the window for a portal to see thru to drive at all.

The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the defroster was defective. The dealer was contacted who only provided a temporary fix to the problem by reprogramming the computer to direct more air to the side windows and applied duck tape on the grill next to the windshield. The modifications did not work. The manufacturer was contacted who offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were 7,300. Updated 03/15/lj.

When driving on highway, windshield pops and crackles. Sounds as if the windshield is not sealed correctly.

Windshield made crackling noise at medium to fast speed (40 mph and up). Took to dealer who agreed that windshield needed to be resealed, which they did. No further problem.

Rattle sound around the windshield. Dealer tried to say it was the tires out of balance when the truck was brand new. After 3 visits to the dealer the problem still exists.

Consumer noticed intermittently the windshield wipers become inoperable obstructing the driver's view, a recall has been issued on similar makes and models, however this vehicle is not include due to the VIN#. Dealer has been notified. Provide further information.

While defrosting front windshield, a large crack appeared across the windshield. Dealer and manufacturer were not notified at this time.

Passenger's side window was down a third. Dog stuck head outside of the window, window went up, and dog's neck almost got caught inside of the window. Complaint from the consumer said that the tahoe had a lock out bottom too close that locked the windows.

`Chevrolet is not able to replace windshield with same as original equip. Replacements are not same color please help thank you.
