Purchased new, within a couple of days the srs supplemental restraint system light came on the info center in dash and would flash on and off with the airbag light on (red) it would do this for 15-30 seconds and then "reset" and then lights would go off. Was inconsistent but scared my wife, so I took the truck by the dealer and they said it was not a hard code in the system and may be a bug in the system and keep an eye on it. . . Well a few more days after it finally set a check engine light hard code and was taken to the dealer the next day. Found out if the light comes on the air bags are not activated, nice one gm. So after 3 days they changed the clock spring in the steering column and then find 3 hard codes for engine misfires. All before the 1st oil change. . . Come on man this is 2021 so while its in the 2nd time the guy has to order the part they dent the door and scratch the paint and now it back for 2 more weeks for paint and body and infotainment system issues updates poor quality and headaches. But wife still feels unsafe with the air bag failure issues.

Sdm corrosion due to poor placement. Carpet and other material covered sensor and liquid has completely corroded sensor. Sensor is now dead and air bag light is on.

When I started my chevy 2007 silverado the service air bag light came on and my truck hesitated and cut off. When I restarted it it was ok.

Was driving down 95 by howland maine when my airbag light came on , I pulled over shut truck off and restarted it still didn't go away, so I decided to just drive it right to garage we're I founded out it could be a few things, so I got 2 brand new airbag sensors but after we put them in, it still didn't go off. But I seen we're your company put this airbag recall out. I was wondering if that could be why? I got paperwork we're we put sensors in.

Radio and dashboard electronics shutoff completely while driving and then will come back on a minute later! looses all connections to phone, maps, bluetooth etc. . . . , then out of the blue today the airbag light and service safety restraint system warning came on! this is so dangerous and is going to cause me to have a wreck!.

The airbag light on the dash came on today 10/15/2020 while driving to the store and the airbag is a takata airbag and scared it my deploy and cause serious injury or death. I've did research about the defect but no remedy was given. Didnt receive a letter in the mail from the manufacturer to take the vehicle to fix it.

The service air bag light comes on after noticing the dash has a crack on passenger side air bag . The crack just appeared one day after cleaning the inside of the vehicle.

My vehicle was in motion one day and I was driving on the interstate and all power in the truck was gone the radio reset the gauges started to go up and down and the airbag light was flashing and saying service airbag. I figured it was a electrical problem so I got a new battery and it still did it so I I put a new ground wire and it still continued to do it and got all new battery cables and still nothing and when it all resets and I turn it off I have to jiggle the positive wire for it to start.

My air bag light is on took to chevy dealer and was told front sensor was bad was told about 800. 00 to fix.

In 2018 dashboard cracked. While stationary and over time. In 2019 stability indicator remained on. While driving truck.

Hi this truck has been a nightmare worst truck I ever owned I have sunk over 5k into it in repairs the air bag service light went on over a year ago wen I first got the truck my garage told me there were recalls on it I took it to a dealer they fixed 1 but refused to fix the air bag recall light my garage told me its unsafe and dealer should repair my garage sed metal could kill me and bag could go off at any time I took the truck to spurr chevy in brockport and hartway chevey in medina as well as chevy dealer in rochester and batavia all told me there is no fix and to keep driving I did and things just got worse I keep getting stranded and the truck looses power because the constant warning service air bag light I had to call aaa and get towed a bunch and get jump starts I have a 18 month old child this truck is not safe and this is effecting the trucks computer the complete muffler from engine back including converters was replaced at dealer by previous owner passed inspection first year I had it now it will not pass get messages like ecm not communication codes for dealer etc I took it to dealer in brockport they reset computer codes were clear for 2 hours by time I got to inspection shop all codes were back this thing is dangerous I smell odd electric smell by air bag almost like something burning and another problem I had the damb wheel berings on both sides went the one side started making a noise I tried to get home turned on to my rd and the whole front wheel break rotor and all lugs came off with bearing I went skidding 400 feet down the road the dam bearing is just pressed in when they go the whole front falls off you can not steer I have fixed everything on this truck and still not safe to drive new breaks rotors pads tires rims fuel pump sending unit all new ac all new exahust everything is new but the dam air bag is malfunctioning I and.

When I tried to get the emissions down on my vehicle. I was notified of the recall. The airbag light is on and has been on for about 5 years. No other issues with vehicle.

Recall 09184 recently my service air bag indicator illuminated and took vehicle to gm service sunset Chevrolet sumner washington. They informed me that the sdm needs to be replaced because of excessive corrosion and component failure. Waiting to conduct repairs, I discovered a recall that pertained to the sensor retaining moisure due to acoustic padding covering the component, but only covers vehicles registered in specific states, wa not being one of them. Will this recall be extended to my vehicle? this is a very costly repair that could have been prevented if I the owner new I could have prevented it by following the provided instructions in the recall. If it will not be extended to my vehicle is there a process or action I can take to help off set the repair cost?.

Last year the air bag light went on my 2011 silverado with 80,000 miles. I had it in a gm body shop for unrelated repair and asked them to diagnose it. They connected their reader and could not find a the problem and directed me to the dealer. I investigated further last week and found both front disintegrated from corrosion. I contacted the dealership who could find no record of such a problem, they referred me to gm with the same result. This is an low mileage vehicle in very good condition and I find this type of early failure of 2 identical parts unreasonable.

Air bag light is on. This is prompting me to think that this is related to the takata recall. My 2011 silverado has less than 100,00 miles. The transmission started making noises, then it stopped. Prior to that nothing was indicated as going wrong. One month later, the transmission will not move into gears. I have spent thousands of dollars to purchase this vehicle brand new and I am so disappointed in the service that I am getting out of it. Also the interior is deteriorating. My radio dials and heat/air control buttons are faded. The steering wheel is peeling. I even bought extended warranty. My power window went out, fixed by warranty. Ignition ~ won't turn over. Only ignition key & fob on the key ring ~ key will not turn over, can't start car & now air bag light comes on & off intermittently.

I first received recall information in the mail pertaining to the airbags on my vehicle at the end of 2017. I am now seeing commercials for attorney services regarding injuries due to defective airbags in vehicles in my make, model, and year.
