Mylink system not working correctly, won't take voice commands & shows error messages on screen. The computer will completely lock up & become unresponsive until restart. 4. Lane departure system not working/detecting driver¿s side lines on road when crossed. 7. Driver and passenger's front seats feel loose at mounting brackets while driving (rocks back and forth). 8. Heated/cooled seats not cooling. 9. Transmission not shifting correctly, misses gears on acceleration; constant slips & clunks¿ from powertrain while at road speed. 10. Transmission/torque converter won't disengage from engine properly when braking & pushes the truck under engine power, to a stop at random times. The ecm/tcm is having communication errors or problems causing hazardous conditions to present themselves at random unpredictable intervals to drivers. 11. Engine misses/stalls when making sharp turns at random: fails to accelerate when merging into oncoming freeway traffic or turning out of parking lots. Again, the ecm/tcm is having some sort of software communication error which is causing hazardous conditions to present themselves at random unpredictable intervals to drivers. Freeway merging with oncoming traffic or out of a parking lot into oncoming traffic without the ability to accelerate the vehicle is an extremely hazardous condition not only to the passengers of the unresponsive vehicle but to the passengers/drivers in the oncoming traffic. -truck just bought back by gm at our loss.

47 Car Stall problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Failure Date: 11/01/2012

(*affected part - it doesn't let me to type ipc - instrument panel cluster) fuel needle is not operating - completely. Battery voltage needle - is not operating - completely. Speedometer is sticking. Lights at dashboard are dim, takes couple minutes to get back to normal. Gm is aware of defective product (ipc - instrument panel cluster) that was installed on all 2003 and 2004 chevy silverado, but is refusing to correct a problem. They issued only short term "special coverage", which expired in 04/2010, without even notifying all of owners about defect, so - god forbid - they won't go to dealership and have it replaced at that time. It's a serious safety issue, and gm should be responsible for correcting it. I am driving not knowing how much gasoline is in my tank, is my battery voltage ok or really has problem, what is my speed and if it complies with speed limit, and at night I even don't see dashboard info. Gm says - "it's your problem, not our. Take care of it on your own". I purchased vehicle in good faith that all parts are in good working condition. In reality that was not a case. Gm installed defective parts on their vehicle and should carry full responsibility for replacing them with good ones.
