Started to drive my truck this morning and it was driving very rough. Dashboard warning lights came on; service parking brake, service esc, check engine light, stability control light, parking brake on indicator. None of this was happening yesterday. It just happened this morning. This truck only has 7,100 miles on it.

Truck went into reduced engine power with check engine light and traction control light illuminated on the instrument cluster. Subsequent restarts of the truck resulted in the code clearing itself and normal start up. Now it is having trouble starting up on a cold start, especially with remote start.

I chose a used 2014 chevy silverado with 180k miles. I met my salesperson, bernard, on site at pugmire Ford, in carrollton, GA. When I test drove the vehicle, the truck had off road tires, so I requested that pugmire put regular tires on the truck before taking possession. They agreed and the truck was delivered a few days later. Soon after delivery, I noticed a soft noise seemingly coming from the engine. I informed my salesperson bernard of the issue. He asked me to bring the truck back for review. I did & bernard told me �it had something to do with the exhaust so don't worry about it. It will go away after a few drivecycles�. I didn't believe him so I had the obd checked, that indicated that the catalytic converter had failed. I sent the document to bernard, then I asked if the vehicle had a recent emissions inspection, he said he didn't know. He apologized, but stated that they would not be responsible for any repairs to the vehicle. At this point, I reminded bernard 1. It is illegal to sell a vehicle that cannot pass emissions 2. That my bank had not yet mailed the check. With that mind, pugmire Ford finally agreed to pay for the replacement of the catalytic converter. So I agreed to authorize my bank to send the check. Pugmire had arranged for the truck to be fixed at g&s auto and they paid for the work. But after repair, the check engine light returned. So I took it back to g&s to ask why. That's when they determined the catalytic converter had failed due to internal engine damage. They recommended another shop for a 2nd opinion. That shop is called all pro automotive. All pro confirmed the damage and provided a quote for the repairs. Pugmire Ford voided all claims of the vehicle being an an �as-is� purchase when they paid to replace the catalytic converters. They took ownership of it, and opted out after they received the check from my bank.

This truck is 2 months old and only has 2300 miles on it. On Sunday 12/27, the truck would not start. All dash panel and light indicator warnings came on including 4 wheel drive assist failure, brake system failure, tps failure, check engine, battery error, etc. After jump starting the battery, the truck turned on but the check engine light stayed on all day. On Monday 12/28, the truck did not start again however, this time, no indicator lights, dash panel or anything came on and I was also unable to even lock the truck. It was towed to the dealership and after 2 days they still have not found the problem with the truck although they have indicated there is a clear problem. The truck is still currently at the dealership.

Truck began to idle rough and would jerk during taking off and stopping. Check engine light began flashing and stabilitrak light came on. Took it to a mechanic who reported fuel buildup. I was told that the pistons were broken as well. My truck has 88,000 miles on it and gm refuses to fix it even though there are service bulletins pertaining to the engine misfire from fuel buildup because the truck is greater than 5 years old.

The vehicle throws the check engine light randomly (avg once every 2 months). It occurs around 65 mph (interstate) which, leads me to believe it is a misfire on one of the cylinders. I have had it to the dealership and a diagnostic complete. Spark plugs were changed and they said it fixed the issue; yet it has not fixed the issue. I notice no power loss when it comes on (blinks). This light blinks roughly 30-45 seconds and goes off.

Lifter ticking and lifter collapse. Stability and traction control system working improperly and flashed on and off and the truck started to hesitate and jerk. Oil consumer is excessive. This all occurred while driving on a city street without any prior problem. There were no check engine light or other �idiot light� warnings before the lifter clicking started or the stability and traction control system acted up.

The truck is new with 700 miles. September 26th 2020 I came to a stop at a light. As I took off the truck started to jerk and the check engine light came on. I immediately drove it home. As I was driving home while in motion the truck would jerk when it was changing gears. I received a text from gm that said to have the engine or transmission serviced within 7 days. I did not drive it until I was able to take it to chevy. September 28th 2020 on the way there the vehicle did the same thing. On September 30th 2020 the chevy technician said the truck was ready he said the problem was a transmission control module that was not placed correctly. I picked the truck up October 1st 2020 and drove it straight home just fine. October 2nd in the morning driving to work the truck started to jerk again and the check engine light came on and I received another text from gm saying to have the engine or transmission serviced within 7 days. On the way to chevy I had to stop at a light when the light changed green the truck did not want to take off and started to roll back and I almost hit a vehicle. I put the truck in park turned it off restarted it then safely drove it to chevy. Today is October 4th and I haven't heard anything from chevy I did not believe that a transmission control module would be placed incorrectly from the factory I believe this truck has some kind of defect and is unsafe to drive until chevy figures out the problem.

The vehicle was taken to jim browne Chevrolet Buick GMC of dade city (10741 u s 301, dade city, FL 33525, (352) 567-1222) and remained at the dealer while the mechanics attempted to duplicate the failure by driving the vehicle over several days and several miles. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was referred to the dealer and provided a case number. The contact was also provided a case number. The failure mileage was 13,900.

While traveling eastbound on interstate 10 from van horn to fort stockton at approximately 85 mph with a semi parallel on the right hand lane and an SUV directly behind me no more than 3 car lengths away, the check engine light activated and all power was lost. When the engine shutdown luckily the SUV behind me was able to slow down after I immediately activated my emergency flashers and I was able to safely, after almost causing an accident, move over to the right hand shoulder/grass area. After having truck towed to the nearest chevy/gm dealership in pecos TX, the diagnosis was a faulty fuel pump estimated cost over $800. This is a serious safety issue when traveling on the highway and the fuel pump goes out and should be looked at by NHTSA.

After performing the latest recalls the check engine light illuminated with a p25a2 code. I did not notice any change in the vehicle handling or performance. After I took the vehicle to the dealership for service they told me that they couldn't find an error code, only the p25a2 code which is to illuminate the check engine light. I believe it was the brake system that triggered the light if I recall what the service technician told me correctly. Additionally, at idle speed, especially while turning the steering wheel the vehicle seems to lung forward at times creating the risk of a potential front end collision.

At cold start up, the truck immediately illuminated the check engine light with a message of reduced engine power. A shut down and restart produced the same results. Shut the truck off and pulled the trouble code p26bb. Next start up, check engine light was still on, but the reduced engine power message was gone. Drove it to the dealer with no problems, where they diagnosed a faulty coolant flow valve. 38 days later it still sits at the dealer still not repaired. If this problem was to happen unexpectedly while driving, reduced engine power could produce dangerous conditions in certain situations ( ie pulling into traffic, merging).

I was driving down the road, gave it gas to go around a vehicle and it felt like the vehicle shut down. Esc caution, check engine light, and brake warning/caution all illuminated. Vehicle began to slow down drastically and if I hadn't gotten off the road quickly I would have been hit. If I had been turning into traffic from a stop and that happened I would have been hit. Pulled the vehicle over, turned it completely off, removed the key, restarted the vehicle and everything went away except the check engine light. Headed to the dealership and again I gave it some gas and it did it again. Pulled over, turned off/on and same results, everything cleared but check engine light. If this were to happen on the interstate this could cause a major incident. I was on a city street on both occasions. I had to nurse the gas pedal returning to the dealership which was about 7 miles from the initial incident. The vehicle is a 2020 chevy Silverado 1500 with the 2. 7l turbo engine.

The contact stated that while driving the vehicle jerk, the check engine warning light illuminated. The failure recurred a third time. The vehicle was taken to jake sweeney Chevrolet service dealer, (33 w kemper rd, cincinnati, OH 45246) where a road test was completed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced for the third time. The vehicle was not repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case. The failure mileage was 11,000. Aw.

Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet silverado. The contact stated that while her husband was traveling at 30 mph, the vehicle began to stall upon depressing the accelerator. The contact also stated that the check engine light flashed as the failure occurred. The contact's husband took the vehicle to buchanan automotive 1035 e main st, waynesboro, PA 17268 where the vehicle was diagnosed with defective engine pistons. The dealer informed her husband that the parts to repair the vehicle are currently on back order. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer. The manufacturer had not been notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 90,000. Jo.

On January 22, 2020 I started the vehicle with using the mychevrolet phone app. I got into the truck and pushed the ignition button. The following three warnings appeared on the instrument panel: 1) brake system failure 62 mph top speed, 2)service trailer brake system, 3) service esc abs, brake, traction control, and check engine lights illuminated. I turned the vehicle off and turned it back on again using the ignition button and all warnings and lights cleared except the check engine remained illuminated. The vehicle was parked when all of this happened. I received an email from onstar reporting that an issue with the antilock braking system was detected. This vehicle had just been into the dealer the prior week to fix one recall associated with the battery cable, and two other recalls associated with the brakes.

Seemed as if the car would almost slip in and out gear when diving approx. 30-40 mph. I then noticed the check engine light came on and flashed engine reduction and seemed to lose some power. I took it in to the dealer, 2 days later they replaced r&r camshaft position actuator magnet intake. The next day after the truck back. I started the truck it put it in reverse and the engine stopped running but it seemed as if it the engine was still running as when you use the remote to start the truck, after the 4th try the truck stayed running but the engine reduction warning had lit up again. The truck has been back at the dealers for 6 days trying to figure out the problem.

Upon starting the truck and putting it in drive, the parking brake maintenance light, check engine light and abs light came on. It provided multiple warnings that it needed service and put the engine in �low power mode�.

In June of 2019 my vehicle was brought into begnal motors in kingston NY with the check engine light on. There was also a warning for the stabiltrax system and low oil pressure. I brought it to begnal motors because that is where I purchased the vehicle. The vehicle was still under warranty at this point. They being a Dodge dealer then sent the truck over to romeo chevy who diagnosed it as an engine misfire. They had the truck for two months for the repair which the warranty covered. I got the truck back and soon after the engine light came back on. At this point the vehicle was no longer under warranty. It took the vehicle to my local mechanic absolutely auto in new paltz NY. They send a code for the oil pressure sensor and the O2 sensor where showing up. They replaced both sensors. After the work was done the oil pressure sensor still wouldn't clear and the engine light came back on. The mechanic told me that these sensors are known to have problems on the silverado. He then rechecked he's work to make sure there was a new screen on the sensor and there was. The code(p0521 I believe)still wouldn't clear. He then referred me to take the vehicle back to romeo chevy because they had done all the work on it previously. I brought the truck back to romeo and they did a complete diagnostic test and got no answers. They then did anther oil change and an oil pressure test with no result on clearing the oil pressure code. Romeo chevy has at this point had my truck for another three months unable to diagnose the problem. They now say I need a new engine and that the oil pressure issues cannot be fixed. Their service rep told me they had another silverado recently with similar issues and they had to replace the engine in that vehicle. I would appreciate some help in this matter the vehicle has only 105000 miles and I am being told it needs a new engine because of oil pressure.

The truck is less than 3 yrs old with only 23671 miles. Check engine light came on. P050d code and the transmission began to down shift hard at times when slowing down. Dealer said there was carbon build up on cylinder 1 valves that caused them to stick and a misfire. I found it interesting that cylinders 1-4-6-7 are the cylinders that shut down for afm active fuel management system when it goes into v4 mode. Dealer said it was not related. Said it was poor fuel. Said I need to run top tier detergent from select gas stations. That is the first time anyone has told me this. That's not in the owners manual and no one told me I would need to use special gas stations when I bought the truck brand new. I then told him the two stations I use are mobil and sunoco. Both of which are on the top tier fuel distributor list. Interesting fact: top tier fuels is a registered trademark of general motors. They failed to mention that when they told me about my "poor fuel" which is apparently a licensed gm product. I was told if this happens again I would have to pay as it would likely be outside the bumper to bumper warranty period (36 mos). Apparently the fuel system is not part of the power train? found nothing with the transmission. Not surprised. Last new Chevrolet I will ever buy.

My truck has been having issue after issue with sensors going bad and check enginge light always coming on. Now I have a transmission issue with a solenoid going bad. The transmission has had the "clunk" as people discribe it since I purchased it. Nothing was wrong with it so I was told and that was normal. There are so many complaints on this year and make silverado its pretty sad that nothing has been done. Now my truck sits and still paying the note because of this transmission issue that a ton of people have reported. How many thigs do I have to change before the check engine light stops coming on. Please help all of us who own a chevy and have gm make this right.

Catalytic converter failed with less than 80,000 miles. The truck was taken to dealership, denooyer Chevrolet, from which it had been bought new and by which it had always been serviced to remedy the check engine light prior to 80,000 miles with authorization to perform any diagnostic and remediation covered under warranty. Dealer did not make repair and advised it would cost me hundreds of dollars to even find out what was wrong. I now have taken the truck to a separate shop for diagnosis and was told a catalytic converter has gone bad. However, I am now slightly at 89,000 miles. Dealer is saying warranty on catalytic converts expired at 80,000 miles. Front brake rotors warped within the first year of ownership. A/c cooling coil cracked under 80,000 miles as well due to a faulty part, and apparently that warranty expired at 30,000 miles.

Stabilitrak and traction control light going off with blinking check engine light and rough idle, on a highway. It happened on February 3 2019.

Upon driving the check engine light came on along with the service stabilitrak and traction control messages. The truck had minimal power when stepping on gas and truck would jerk. When idling engine is loud and shakes.

Was driving on freeway,was changing lanes so I stepped on the gas to switch lanes and then check engine started flashing and stabilitrak active light came on. Slowed down and felt the truck with some unusual shaking, when I got off the freeway and into the street as soon as I stopped it felt like the engine wanted to shut off but it did not,truck was shaking at every stop I made. Check engine light is still on and stabilitrak active light on.

My fuel pump control module pn20759945 shorted. Recall bulletin 14515 covers my model year and part number. However, gm claims my VIN is not covered by this. This is the same part and same failure listed in the recall bulletin, and imo it should be covered by gm. Fcpm's are poorly designed and poorly placed and fail on many many gm models over a number of years. This is an item that should be expanded to include all vehicles with that part number, especially if they are mounted externally and exposed to the environment such as on all chevy sliverados and related trucks. The fault in my case was a check engine light, and not a crank no start. I took the truck to gm for diagnosis. They said the fcpm needs replaced as it shows and internal fault. This is an expensive part and service,which should be covered by gm under the bulletin imo.
