1 Driveshaft problem of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Failure Date: 02/16/2015

Shifted truck into reverse while plowing my driveway, truck made a large snap sound in front end and wouldn't move - oil was dispersed all over the ground. In the end - front yoke broke, causing drive shaft to hit oil filter and busting it off. Truck was under warrenttee so no cost but this is dangerous. Had I been moving this could have caused a truck to flip end for end.

2 Driveshaft problem of the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Failure Date: 09/28/2014

While towing a 30 ft 5th wheel trailer the frame vibrates for a period of time between 55 to 65 mph. Feels like a drive shaft u joint failure as it seems to be progressively worsening over several recent trips, but may be due to road conditions. Not predictable between acceleration or deceleration, just starts to vibrate. Can be severe enough to be startling at times. Possibly NHTSA #10021013 reference #3009. Have not found remedy listed anywhere.

3 Driveshaft problem of the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Failure Date: 01/05/2008

I was driving up an unpaved hill that was slippery from snow but had been plowed. It was night time and the hill is steep with lots of sharp curves. On my way up I noticed my steering became stiff. I came to a point where I was not making any more forward progress and had to stop. (my tires are not the best) when I hit the brakes I then realized I didn't have any. I was able to get the truck into reverse before I started rolling backwards to fast and safely maneuver back down the hill backwards without complications. I feel this should fall under NHTSA campaign id number 05v005000.
