While driving the vehicle's driver seat will move forwards and backwards making it unable to reach pedals to stop safely, air bag light will flash erratically, loud ticking noise, miss-fire/vibration while idling. Been to the dealership twice to fix still not fixed, contacted gm about issues and to file a complaint. Now dealership refuses to work on Tahoe.

Takata recall- the service airbag indicator light has been on in my 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe since 2015. Since then I have tried numerous times to contact my local Chevrolet dealer (momentum Chevrolet in san jose CA) to resolve the safety issue. Not only did they failed to come up with a resolution to the safety of my family vehicle they took my personal information to call me back and try to sell me a new car, disregarding my initial complaint about the safety of my chevy Tahoe.
One day this winter I went out in the garage and started my Tahoe. Out of the blue my service air bag light came on. Today I took my care to get it checked out and the error codes (b0051 & b0053) indicated that the airbags had been deployed. The service manager agreed that there was no evidence of a collision or that the air bags had been deployed, and that the air bags are not working. Due to the age of the vehicle they indicated that there was nothing they go do to cover the work needed to repair the problem and get the airbags working again. The estimate is for $1,200. They also indicated that there were not any recalls or service bulletins on this type of problem. I contacted gm via chat, and they said there were not recalls or service bulletins for this issue, and they could not due anything to assist with the repair. I am the original owner and always kept the vehicle in good working order using the original dealer, and have not had any accidents with the vehicle. I can afford to get the repair done, my concern is how many other people that can't might be impacted by this and will drive the vehicles without the air bags.
I have a 2005 chevy Tahoe, which recently I have been having many problems,I was wonderi if there any recall notices for this vehicle,,,service air bag light is on,,,abs light is on,,,,seat belts on middle section does not work correctly,it gets stuck many times,,,,steering sometimes gets stiff,. .
The service air bag light came on, ay this time I don't know weather or not my air bags are working I also have side air bags. So I don't know which ones not working and wasn't aware that air bag need servicing at no time. I need help on this I never owned a car that you have to service air bags without the bags being deployed.
At 90,000 miles, all of my rear bearings were bad and had to have them replaced, basically a whole new rear end. Luckily it was covered under the 100,000 mile power train warranty. I have only towed a trailer twice with my Tahoe, so obviously a defect somewhere. Second issue is that there are 2 cracks on the dashboard; one in the area of the passenger side air bag, and the other on the backside of the drivers side steering column. These both occurred about the same time, around 100,000 miles. Obviously this is a widespread issue. Gm needs to be replacing these dashboards on their dime and not expecting the customer to foot the bill for this defective product. It is definitely a safety issue. Should the airbag system have to deploy, pieces of plastic would become projectiles that would harm anyone inside the vehicle. The third issue I have, that began today at 109,000 miles, are involving the instrument panel. The speedometer did not work, the light that indicates which gear you are in did not come on, and the seat belt light and air bag light were on even though I was wearing my seat belt. I'm not sure what is causing this, and I'm hoping it is just a bad fuse. I am so dicouraged with my Tahoe lately. All of these little things going wrong have really made me leary of buying another gm product, and I've been excited about the 2015 redesign. Not so much now.
Air bag light has been on since we bought the vehicle and dealer told us that it is not covered under their warranty. But they did tell me that the airbags will not work if we were in an accident.
2008 Chevrolet Tahoe 4x4 v8 5. 3l, check air bag light came on during a routine drive and no bags deployed. Checked with dealer and they wanted $300 to clear fault code b0083 for a front sensor. Looked online and many other gm vehicles have had similar issues with this safety related device. Since it is of safety concern and there has never been an accident with the vehicle I would like the NHTSA to investigate gm airbag sensor component failures of vehicles with less than 150k miles.

2006 chevy Tahoe service air bag light comes on with no reason. Unplugging yellow plug in drivers kick panel, per gm TSB, works only for a short time. Problem remains.
Vehicle was taken to Chevrolet dealer for a suspect system restraint issue with indications from the air bag dash light. First repair was diagnosed with code"c0041". Code lead the dealer to the drivers seat. The technician reported the issue to be a wiring problem under the seat with rubbing of the wiring. Air bag light did go out for a short period of time and then started to flash back on and off. Within the past two months the light has started to stay lit about 90% of the time. Vehicle was returned to the Chevrolet dealer, trouble code reported the same code (c0041), now the dealer is indicating the problem to be the "seat air bag module". Dealer wants to split the cost of the repair 50/50 now after an initial charge of $275 against a current estimate of $570.
