I was hit I entered an intersection by a large semi/gravel truck that I did not see because there was a semi on the other side closer to me and going slower. While traveling southbound on a four lane highway at approximately 65-70mph (posted speed limit of 65) my 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe seemed to have no steering, similar to how a steering wheel feels when vehicle is off, as the vehicle was traveling over a knoll with a slight curve to the left. The accelerator was pressed to check to see if vehicle was in fact still running, which it was, but the steering wheel would not move. The brakes were applied at which time the Tahoe darted left into the other lane where another vehicle was traveling, causing that vehicle to hit the Tahoe in the drivers side back door. The Tahoe then continued broadside until it broke free of impact with the other vehicle, and turned backward into the median. The Tahoe travelled backwards thru the median for approximately 80ft at which time the accelerator was pressed to the floor in an attempt to keep the Tahoe out of northbound traffic. The Tahoe came out of the median broadside, back into the left lane & stopped. The steering wheel never moved during this accident. The state trooper suggested that the front wheels were locked the entire time based on the black marks in the road. Also, even with a direct side impact by the other vehicle, the side airbags did not deploy.

I was driving a 2016 chevy Tahoe on a residential street. My car lost all control of steering and brakes. While driving the car veered to the right and hit a car, continued on hitting 2 more parked cars, drove thru someone's large hedges, and was seconds away from driving into someone's house but was stopped when I hit the 2 parked cars in the driveway. My airbag also did not deploy. Two cars involved were totaled. Again, I had no control over the steering or the brakes. Thank god I'm alive and I didn't kill anyone.

I have two cracks in my dashboard. One is huge over the drivers side control cluster and the second, I believe, poses a big safety concern. The second crack is at the corner of the passenger airbag. I'm concerned that the airbag will not deploy with this defect and if it does the sharp edges/shards of the dash will either injure the passenger and/or others in the car, or rip the airbag making it useless. Airbags are a legal requirement. I have been on many forums and pages regarding the chevy Tahoe and there are hundreds of people with this very same problem. I really believe gm/chevy should order a recall. I also have a minor claim about the rubber on the steering wheel and the paint on the stereo/climate control buttons. All of which is peeling off. I have also see hundreds of writings about this problem. We have already had to replace the steering wheel and stereo/climate control. And the problem persisted on the new items. I paid way to much for the vehicle to be doing this. I also have no intentions of getting a new car; however, as they problem persist, especially the safety issues. I just may be forced to .
