1 Horn Assembly problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 08/27/2020

Wow. I am seeing all my same issues so thought I better enter my info as well. First the horn was all of a sudden blaring without anyone being in it in the middle of the night 2. 5 years ago and now I do not have a horn, and none of the controls work on the steering wheel including the radio and cruise control (I question if the air bag is active on the driver side because of this). Then, the rear lift gate all of a sudden will not open (maybe last winter). 6 months ago, the indicators on the dash are out so I can't see my odometer or anything else you can access on the dash. Recently the passenger side window just randomly fell off the track. Recently, everything on the driver's side door does not work electrically: power door lock, and power window. And I find that gm will not address at a minimum the electrical issues? not good.

2 Horn Assembly problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 10/01/2010

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the horn would no longer sound when pressure was applied to the center of the steering wheel. The only time the horn would sound was when the button on the key fob was engaged. The failure was not diagnosed nor was the vehicle repaired. The failure mileage was 60,000 and the current mileage was 72,000. The VIN was unavailable.

3 Horn Assembly problem of the 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 02/06/2010

2009 Chevrolet Tahoe - with 5,194 miles intermittent and complete failure of all gauges on instrument panel and also intermittent cycling of door locks and horn as if the vehicle were being locked by using the remote. The failure of the gauges has occurred twice in the last 200 or so miles and the door lock cycling has happened once during the same period of time. There is no apparent pattern to the described problem. Since there are no gauges when the problem occurs, the drivability of the vehicle is severely limited; the speedometer, tachometer, oil, temperature and transmission gear selection indicator are inoperative. The vehicle is scheduled to be inspected on 02/10/2010 by the dealership where the vehicle was purchased and a replacement vehicle is being provided while the vehicle is out of service.

4 Horn Assembly problem of the 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 02/10/2009

Turn vehicle ignition off take the key out of the ignition, open the driver door to get outi get a few dings like I have left the key in the ignition. I close the driver door, the lights flash, horn honks and doors then lock. I have done nothing to make this happen. It is an intermittent problem. The two local chevy dealers cannot make it repeat this issue and because there are no codes that come up, they tell me they can't fix it. The second issue is my turn signals. I turn on a turn signal, it shows up green, it does not click at random times. Third issue, windshield wipers turn on with the fluids when I have the switch in the off position. I touch nothing. I have asked the dealer if they have seen any of these issues and they said they have ran the service bulletins and cannot find anything. So I have a $50k vehicle that has electrical issues that they do not want to look into because they cannot find a "code".

5 Horn Assembly problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 01/17/2008

Horn is inoperable intermittently. Was parked in supermarket parking lot when I noticed a truck backing up out of their spot. Noticed truck was really close and when I tried honking to warn them to stop, they actually had backed into my vehicle causing their paint to rub off and crease my rear fender. I got off my vehicle to speak to the driver when they pulled forward and drove away. Took my truck to dealership for problem and was fixed due to a faulty fuse, took truck in again on 3/21/08 because horn still worked sporadically.

6 Horn Assembly problem of the 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe

Failure Date: 12/17/2007

More so when it is below 40 f outside, the horn will not work. The keyless remote will work and sound the horn. I never know when it will work or fail. I have seen a NHTSA id # 10013378 (TSB #3300c) that seems very similar to what I am experiencing but I have not been able to find out details about it. I have searched online and have found numerous similar issues with other gm products from 2002 to 2005. I am concerned that when I need to use the horn, it will not work.
