My vehicle is having a problem much like that from recall number 14743 product safety - loss of electric power steering (eps). On several occasions the vehicle has lost power steering and the dealership is telling me that my SUV is not covered under this warranty. I feel that the same safety concerns posed with recall 14743 apply in this situation with mine and I do not feel they are taking it seriously. Also when this occurred I was on the highway the first time, the second time I was turning onto the street I live on, and most recently I was in the parking lot at target with my kids in the car with me. This last time I was actually about to turn into a parking spot when I lost power to the steering.

When making a right turn vehicle loses power steering. Doesn't happen all the time comes and goes. If you give vehicle a little gas it will start working again but that's not always an option. I notice it most if my vehicle is moving at a slow rate of speed or stopped. This is a very dangerous issue and no one can seem to offer any ideas on fixing it.

When turning onto an on-ramp (usually right) the vehicle will momentarily lose power steering and the steering wheel will jerk right. This jerking motion also happens intermittently while driving at highway speeds with no turning involved. Even though there is more jerking motion on a turn both are extremely dangerous situations. This has been happening for several years.
