The entertainment systems was pulled down by my kids to watch a movie. When the dvd screen was pulled down it completely blocked the driver rear view mirror. As such. . . . You cannot use the entertainment system and drive at the same time in the vehicle.

I was loading groceries through the open liftgate window. When I finished and tried to close the window it wouldn't close. It was off center, I was finally able to close it by pushing up on the passenger side of the glass allowing me to secure the liftgate glass. I bougth this car through carmax in charlotte and never received a notice about this problem but with research I have discovered it to be a fairly common problem.

The liftgate glass hinge has separated from the moulding causing the liftgate glass window to become unsafe since it is now held onto the car by only one rubber hinge bracket. The glass in the liftgate will not close and could becoe separated from the car while the car is moving down the highway causing serious injury to cars following my car. The local dealer stated that he had seen the problem before but there is no recall and my only recourse was to purchase a new rear liftgate window at a cost of nearly $1000. I am now on record as having stated in writing that, in my opinion, this is a serious situation and this manufacture defect could cause the rear glass to become separated from the car at highway speeds and hit another vehicle on the highway. The odometer on my car reads 40,000 miles.
The driver side mirror has started distorting and leaking a brown liquid substance. It has discolored the paint on the side of the vehicle and the step bar. Objects appear distorted/doubled and mirror has a haze to it.

Twice now while driving my wipers have quit on me. After first time it threw a "no start" code and the truck left me stranded. I have spoken with an agent with GMC and they suggested that I file a claim with you. It is very scary and I am loosing confidence in my truck. Luckily nothing serious has happened but it very well could. GMC does not have record of this issue with others but I would advise that it be looked into before my comments take a more serious direction. Please advise.
Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that after taking the vehicle to the dealer in reference to NHTSA recall campaign number 10v240000, electrical system, the contact was informed that the heated washer module would be permanently disabled and removed from the vehicle. The contact indicated that by removing the heated washer fluid module from the vehicle he would be unable to remove ice from the windshield during icy weather conditions. The heated washer module was an added expense when the vehicle was purchased. The dealer confirmed that they would not pay him the $100 that is associated with the recall repair until they revise the vehicle so that no one could install any type of heated washer modules in the vehicle. The contact requested that the dealer replace the module with a NHTSA approved replacement module but the dealer refused. Jft.

I had the wipers on because of rain storm, then the driver's side just stopped working. It was raining hard, had no visibility.
My husband was driving our 1996 Tahoe when it just stopped! we found that the key had shut off while driving. We were in the middle of a thruway when everyone was driving 60 mph. A very dangerous situation indeed. This has happened 3 times in the year I've owned the vehicle. We are also having a problem with the wipers working intermittently and sometimes get stuck in the middle of the windshield or jumping across the windshield pop, pop, pop. Etc.

Driving my vehicle down the road in the rain try to turn on windshield wiper an nothing happened so I had to pull over until I could see good enough to get back on the road to drive an that's always happens to me.
1996 Chevrolet Tahoe. The left windshield wiper works and the right windshield wiper does not. This began while my husband was driving in the rain and resulted in very limited visibility. He went to auto zone to replace the wipers and when they replaced the right wiper, it did not correct the problem. I am taking it in for repair today. I have been told that it is probably the wiper transmission.
Rear defrost cable came off numerous times had dealer fix at least twice and then they replaced whole back glass then cable still continued to come off . It only came off during months defrost was being used, cold weather. Cable connection seemed to be melting off from solder. This too seems to be common among 2007 Chevrolet Tahoes. Also since owning this Tahoe the windshield wipers have never seemed to be wiping fast enough in a hard rain,( not a downpour, just steady heavy rain) it is very hard to see through windshield. With vehicles I have owned in the past, mostly Chevrolets, I have never had this problem.
Drivers side windshield wiper came loose then froze and became inoperable on the windshield left edge during rainstorm cause was the nut which holds the wiper on the rotating shaft coming loose and may not have been tightened/ torqued properly at the factory.

I was driving from SC and attempted to turn on the wipers and they didn't work. I pull to the side and waited a few minutes and they just started working. I check the fuse but they were good. This has happened several times on the last year.

Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact indicated that over the years the vehicle had experienced several electrical problems including the instrument panel light malfunctioning causing difficulties viewing information. The turn signal would only operate when the fog lights were activated and the rear windshield wiper had malfunctioned. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer gilcrest Chevrolet(6030 s. Tacoma way, tacoma wa. ) who replaced the rear window motor and the instrument panel was replaced but the failures eventually reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified and no solution was offered. The failure mileage was 10,000. Jft.
