Brakes Failed Problems of Chevrolet Trailblazer

I was driving my brand new 2021 Trailblazer (only 160 miles) and stepped on the brake to stop at the end of a street. Suddenly, I got alerts that my brake system had failed and right after that, another one, saying that the power steering needed to be serviced. At that point, it required much more pressure on the brake to stop, and the brakes didn't seem very responsive. Later I shut off the engine, and when I started it again, the check engine light was still on, but I think the brakes were working again. I'm not sure because I didn't want to drive it, just in case.

The anti-lock brake system in my 2005 chevy Trailblazer LS at times does not work. When I apply my brake the brake makes a noise sounding like grinding, not catching or holding, slips and goes to the floor. I have to rapidly act with swiftness within a short time to reapply my brakes in hopes they work. The brakes sometimes fail on bumpy roads, going over railroad tracks, coming to a stop at low speed, even on smooth roadways, at times entering on-ramps, and turning corners. I have been going over gm's expanded recalls to fix the problem with truck and SUV's brakes the date I saw was 12/23/2005. Can I get help with this problem???.

On Tuesday September 9, 2008 while driving my 2004 chevy Trailblazer and attempting to make a slow left turn the power brakes failed. The brake pedal became very hard to press. This happened on two more occassions I was more than (30) miles from home in the evening about 7pm. That they had to clean out the plugged vacuum ports. I was also told no parts was needed but the cost would be $240. 57 which I paid. The service order # is 151828.

My daughter was driving my 2004 Trailblazer on an icy, slippery road at 25 -30 miles per hour, (the speed limit is 30, it was the street we live on) when she lost control, hit a tree and totaled ($22,000. 00) the vehicle. The officer and I walked the path in the street and could not find any signs of skidding or braking, there fore leading me to believe now that there was a braking failure. Up until now, when I heard about the brakes failing do to corrosion from road salt, I always thought it was just an accident in poor road conditions. When I first read the report of the investigation I couldn't belive it was the same scenario as her accident. Poor road conditions, therefore possible salt buildup, a slow speed and inability to stop. I am so gratefull that she walked away without a scratch, also considering the air bags did not deploy, even though the front end was totaled. I am sure this is a problem that must be identified for those living in colder, northern states.

My brakes failed to work when approaching a stop sign.

Vehicle's steering and brakes suddenly went out. While driving 50 mph the vehicle's steering and brakes suddenly failed which caused loss of control. The vehicle spun around once and hit the highway divider head on. The driver sustained injuries from the accident and was treated fro several months by a doctor.
