Fuel gauge consistently showed "empty" and external lights were always very dim. Lack of awareness of fuel status led to breakdown on heavily trafficked road and dim hazard lights contributed to poor visibility and a fatal accident.

I bought 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer and the fuel gauge is defective. It is crazy to hear beep sounding all the time telling me the gauge is empty when I know for sure is not. I wish it could be fixed, because I have many others things in my plate that need to worry, I really don't need another one.

Fuel gauge does not provide accurate reading. Check engine light indicates fuel level sensor. I do not know if there is fuel unless I reset the trip odometer and monitor.

The fuel gauge is fluctuating from full to empty and the empty light comes on. It has occurred a few times now over the last few weeks. The issue has the potential to cause a stall condition, if the vehicle runs out of gas unknowingly due to this inaccurate gauge condition. I have been able to research some documented evidence of this known issue on NHTSA, but have not found any solution being offered by gm.

Fuel gauge is erratic, moving around from full to no fuel back to full. It may stay on empty for 5-10 minutes then move to full and then drop again. All in one short trip.

The dealership I have this serviced at over the years never did any repairs on this service bulletin. I am a oif army veteran and I can not currently afford this $900 repair. I told customer service at chevy about this and all they offered was a chevy loyalty car. Really your kidding me?.

After picking up my husband from work, we stopped at a store, where I stayed in my chevy Trailblazer while hubby went in, I happened to lookover at gauges and noticed the fuel gauge slowly going down. When hubby came out of store I had him check to see if we had a fuel leak, and nothing seemed to be leaking. We left store and gas gauge continued to decrease until light came on and gauge reads empty. This started about a week ago and continues to be an issue.

I've been having issues with the fuel gauge indicating empty after a fill up although its not. . . I had this problem happen about two years ago, I spent $900. 00 (at the time) on an acdelco fuel sending unit and replaced the part. . . It worked for sometime, however, here we are two years later and its happening again. . . I don't have $900. 00 to replace the part again. This time I was driving to work on the highway (luckily it wasn't to busy, but busy enough at the time of 9:30am in the morning on a Monday) doing about 55mph, give or take, and the engine just shut off, the lights came on and it would not start. Luckily for me, I was able to get the cooperation of a state trooper to sit with me until someone could bring me gas. Sure enough it was a gas issue due to the sensor not working properly and the truck started right up once I put a few gallons in the truck. .

My fuel gauge does not work at all! 98% of the time the fuel gauge says I am on empty even though I have just filled up. While I am driving it will sporadically jump around and stick at different levels. I have read many complaints about this issue and know I am not the only one. Left home for a local store (approx 2miles away) and fuel gauge read 1 notch under full. Left store and drove approx. 1/2 mile, fuel guage gradually dropped to 3/4 full. Continued to drive and in another 1/2 mile fuel gauge gradually dropped from 3/4 to 1/2 full. Drove another 1 1/2 mile to gas station and added 2. 75 gallons of 87 reg gas. Fuel gauge returned to 1 notch under full. Next day drove to store approx. 6 miles away as I was driving the fuel gauge gradually dropped from 1 notch under full to 3/4 full. Arrived at destination and shut off vehicle, waited about 1 minute and restarted vehicle. Gas gauge read 1/1/2 notches under full.

I purchased a used car from ez cars & credit located in riverside California because they had some very good reviews. I could of bought a car from a private owner but I decided to go with a dealership because I figured that the law would protect me and they could not sale me a defective vehicle. I purchased an SUV, Chevrolet Trailblazer 2006 on 2/07/2013 and after taking the car for a test drive, I noticed the airbag light on. The manager javier pena said it was just something that could be fixed in like 5 minutes and that it had to do with the fuses being replaced but his service technician left for the day so I should bring the car in tomorrow. I contacted the dealership and asked for javier pena, I was told by the sales manager who's name is mike, that mr. Javier pena was on vacation for 1 week in mexico. I explained the airbag situation and mike said he doesn't know anything about it and I would have to wait for javier pena to return from mexico. A week and a half later driving with the airbag light on, not knowing if my kids, husband or myself were safe in this vehicle but we spent all our money to purchase this car. We here from javier pena so I brought the car into the dealership, mr. Pena had the car for 4 days and the airbag light is still on today! I contacted mr. Pena and told him I was on my way to pickup my car, mr. Javier pena he was at the office, now when I pick up my car, I get my keys from the owner of the auto repair shop next door. He doesn't even work for the dealership! I have serious water corrosion under my car, the steering wheel feels shaky the fuel gauge never reads correctly and the lights go off and on inside the car after a while of driving. I don't know what to do??.

The fuel gauge on my 2005 Trailblazer has started to register the fuel incorrectly. When the vehicle is filled the gauge drops to empty, and then will vary from there sometimes showing fuel, sometimes not. I am hearing this is a common issue with this vehicle.

On November 16,2012 I stopped to get gas. After getting gas my low fuel light was on and the fuel gauge registered as if the vehicle was out of gas. Having known better I started the vehicle which hesitated to start. It finally started but sputtered its way out of the gas station. As I finally cleared the gas station the vehicle stalled and came to a complete stop without any warning and I was hit from behind.

Fuel gauge stopped working. At first it dropped to empty, and stayed there for about 15 miles. After driving for about 15 miles the gauge would slowly return to the correct fuel level. Over time, the problem worsened, as it started taking longer and longer for the gauge to recover to the correct level. Now it stays on empty nearly permanently, only occasionally registering some fuel at startup and quickly dropping to empty again.

Immediately after filling up, my 2006 tbss fuel gauge stopped working. I fill up with non-ethanol gas premium grade. The low fuel message appears on the dash along with the needle sitting on empty and the low fuel light remains on. I have read over 250 complaints of the same problem.
