2011 chevy Traverse is having fuel guage issues. Gm has a recall out on 2014 models, however my 2011 is experiencing the exact same problem but no recall for that year. Per gm this can result in the vehicle unexpectantly running out of fuel and stalling, increasing the risk of a crash.

I was driving this vehicle and instantly all power was cut off. When I came to a stop I put the vehicle in park and tried to start only to have failed to start quite a few times. After a minute of sitting, the car started again. The car stalled a few more times after on the way home. The dash said stabilitrak needs to be serviced and the engine power was reduced. This could really cause an accident! this problem seem to happen when I was slowing down or coming to a stop.

Vehicle seems to hesitate also stalling while at highway speed trying to accelerate to pass (feels like a miss in the engine) rpm drop about 500 - 700 rpms when this happens. It also feels like the torque converter lockup is engaging and disengaging not sure if the new transmissions have that anymore. Have taken the vehicle to the dealership and they were unable to find any problems. The dealership last month reprogrammed the transmission to eliminate the hard shifting problem with a bulletin issued from Chevrolet .
