The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was informed that the power steering was leaking and that there was metal corrosion. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. 2011 Chevrolet Traverse. Consumer writes in regards to sudden loss of electric steering in vehicle. The consumer stated there was no warning on the dashboard. He stopped and re-started the vehicle and the steering returned to normal. The consumer immediately drove to the dealer. But, they were unable to find any problems. However, they did suggest, it may have been caused by a wet belt.
