Car Stall problems of the 2015 Chrysler 200 - part 1

Car stalled while I was driving once on the highway and I had to swerve on to the side of the ride almost crashing and causing a accident and then a couple of time on the main road which also result into me having to swerve out of traffic almost causing a accident. The car will tell me put it in park I did that and then sometimes it will start up sometime it won't .

The 2015 Chrysler 200 c has stalled and stopped 3times while the car was in motion and would not crank back up until after 5 mins the first in a parking a lot and the other two times on a busy highway which could have resulted in me in and my passengers being injured. The recall code for this issue is r24. And was also told that there was a recall on the car but not for that issue.

The vehicle would cut off causing me to swerve to the side of the road to avoid an accident. It would stall while driving which also caused issues. Then it would just not start and once taken to the dealership on three separate occasions was told there was nothing wrong with the vehicle.

Vehicle, even after repair continues to have front-passenger airbag light. Even after oil levels are changed and maintained, cabin and air filters changed, vehicle continues to stall even after servicing (both paid and under warranty) Chrysler has not resolved the issues that harbor my vehicle and offer no solution. Temp/engine light issue came on during highway travel. Stalling usually occurs on city and residential streets. Both in motion.

The vehicle later failed to immediately start with the message wait to warm was displayed. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer who diagnosed that the engine was faulty and needed to be replaced due to faulty engine cylinders. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 98,000.

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the gear shifter unexpectedly shifted into neutral, the vehicle then stalled while driving 60 mph. The vehicle was restarted however, the contact stated that when the vehicle shifted into third gear, the vehicle inadvertently shifted back into neutral and stalled. The contact also stated that after setting the cruise control to a specific speed, the vehicle accelerated independently above the set speed without depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact manually turned off the cruise control. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the shifting into neutral was due to a power distribution failure and that the software needed to be reprogrammed. The dealer also informed the contact that no trouble codes were found on the cruise control and to take the vehicle to an authorized Chrysler dealer for assistance. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered under NHTSA campaign number: 16v529000 (power train). The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

My lights on the dash board keep cutting off, it keep saying there is a problem with my steering and can't turn, stalls when pulling off, and cut off while driving. I travel on a busy city street and scared I might cut off or stalled and cause an accident and get killed or kill someone else due to my car malfunctioning. Everything happens to my car in motion and I have to keep programming my key to my car.

Car will stall out while driving and car will remain stuck in neutral. Dashboard lights with flicker off and stay off before stalling. Car will completely shut off in traffic with no warning. I have read various recalls on same make and model and year car. The car completely shut off while I was turning a corner and I was almost rear ended because I had no time to put on emergency blinkers. When the lights come back on the dash it says power steering system unavailable. I can start the car again but about another 2-4 miles it repeats. This is a safety issue for both me and my family.

Car stalls or shuts down out of nowhere while driving, slowing down or coming to a stop, with no signs or warning. Has happened on multiple occasions, most recently April 16, 2020.

Car stalls while driving shifts in to neutral and s drive by itself when driving at any speed transmission slips whenever I take off also stalls when stopping for lights or stop signs.

My car has started to stall recently. It is usually when coming to a stop or decelerating although it is also while in complete motion but coasting. There is no warning sound, lights or indication. One must find a way to get off the road (if possible). The car does not re-start immediately. The only light on during this time is the battery light. However, the radio is still playing and the �start� button shows the car is in the �run� position. Power steering is also lost during this time. It is very dangerous!.

Car constantly stalls out and or shuts off while in idle. This is very dangerous seeing how it does it in the middle of busy traffic.

The car will switch into neutral without notice while driving or just a few minutes ago it stalled out on the interstate without notice just driving down the road and all of a sudden the car engine was off and its telling me to put the car in park to start it. I went to start the vehicle and it just rapidly shutters and tries to start for about a minute then stops and dings at me.

On a return trip back home from store less than 2 miles from my house car stalled after turning onto a side street going only a few mph,engine cut off,radio was still on. Was able to pull into the closest parking lot, "shift to p" comes up on dash, battery light comes on. I put the car into park. Turn it off, tried to restart it and it struggled to turn over a few times before finally coming back on. Stalled again pulling into my parking lot. Next day I tried to go to the store again and same thing happened pulling into store and pulling into parking lot. . . . This happened a few months back, after an oil change it stopped, but this time I am not due for an oil change and oil level is fine.

My car has issues with stalling. It happens at least 3 times a day and its when I go to slow down at a stop light, stop sign or make a turn. It slows down then looses power. It eventually starts back up but this happens without warning and also in the moddle of traffic. . Hate ro say but does somebody have ro loose there life before something is done about this issue. I've come across this issue with 1 million cars of this make and model. I checked to see if there was a recall for my car but of there wasnt. . Im stuck what do I do???.

My car frequently shuts off while driving and it'll stall. Most of the time it starts back up and runs like nothing happens with no lights when I got it checked it was no found issue with the vehicle regarding the engine, power train etc. It's in good condition and well maintained. I'm not sure of the issue I did research that other vehicles have been recalled due to this issue and when I looked at the complaints it's exactly what my car does.

The emergency break cuts on for no reason. The car stalls after stopping. The car cut off while I was driving one time. My car would not start (lights, alarm were on) but the engine would not start.

The contact restarted the vehicle within 5 minutes but continued to experience the failure while driving to the residence. The contact called mike brown Chrysler Dodge Jeep located at 4970 us-377, granbury, TX 76049, (817) 776-4978, and made the dealer aware of the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed nor repaired as of yet. The failure recurred and was towed to the residence. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 90,000.

When the vehicle is in neutral is sputters and the electrical flickers. I replaced the battery and it is still doing it. The rpms randomly fluctuate and it's not consistent. I feel like the vehicle is just going to stall out as I'm driving down the freeway. Also the ignition button I have to hold on and cannot just push the start button. It's just not running properly.

The car stalled out and completely shut off as I was driving 30 mph. It was extremely dangerous and could've caused a accident. It wouldn't turn back on for about a minute. This has happened twice in the past week. I looked up other people who have had same issue and it shows there was a recall for the vehicle. A lot of others had the same issue. The recall number was s09. I need to know what I should do with my vehicle as soon as possible. It's too dangerous to drive. This happened with my kids in the car.

While driving my vehicle stalls out and gives me a message on the cluster to, "shift to park to start". When I stop the vehicle and shift to park I press the button to start and it hesitates and sometimes have to press 3 or 4 times before it starts. Then I press on the gas while in park and it is a very slow climb in the rpms. After a few attempts at pressing the gas it seems to be ok. I then shift into drive and it moves a few feet and does the same stalling out and error message on the cluster. This has happened several times while on the highway, city streets and sometimes turning. I am scared to drive this vehicle and seeing that there are recalls but none for my VIN # and alot of the descriptions are similar to what I am experiencing.

This is a serious safety hazard. Not only happening to me but my friends with the same car and model as well. There is a stalling issue this car carries that is super hazardous. It has almost got me and my daughter killed. My car stalled into a intersection and its stalled on train tracks with my baby in the car. Power steering goes off completely as well. This is a hazrd to not only us but the people around us as it can happen at anytime without any kinda of warning . This happend mostly while my vehicle is in motion. It doesn have a specific time t dos it . Its very random.

After reaching 75,000 miles, my car started to stall and turn off by itself while driving. I performed an oil change, made sure all the maintenance was up to date, etc. It has a new battery less than a year old, new tires, etc. Eventually it stalled and shut off on its own while stopped and would not turn back on. Every time I try to turn it back on, it stalls and shuts off but the shifter lights blink repeatedly. I have a code that appeared on a mechanic's code reader which was u1504. He could not diagnose it. Chrysler would not look at it and wanted $125 just to do diagnostics. I just wanted to know if this was one of the recalled issues as I know they have been having engine and transmission issues.

My 2015 Chrysler 200 cuts off while driving. There are no warning lights on the dash yet. The vehicle cuts off approximately up to three times a day, which is quite scary especially due to the fact of it doing so in the middle of moving traffic. There is no specific time where it cuts off, its random. I have to take a few minutes to restart and when I do restart it stall as if it does not wan to crank, but eventually ends up cranking. This issue recently started a few weeks ago, and I have only had this vehicle for a year.

The car stalls and the engine stops running when you're slowing down and stopped. Very unsafe.

The car stalled at a stop sign and stalled again 3 times after that. It read shift to p to start I did that and it would not let me change gear after that. I know this is a common problem with the Chrysler 200 so it should be a recall. This is a huge safety issue it happened while driving in a roundabout and people could have rear ended me.

As I am driving this car was shut off and then I will have to put the car in park restart the car sometimes it will stall before we starting but other times it will restart and then I continue on and this may happen three to four times especially in the morning this is very dangerous for the car to stop while I'm driving without warning it's a hazard and can lead to a bad accident.

When hitting the breaks sometimes the vehicle stalls out in the middle of traffic having to put in park position and try to restart the car. Sometimes take a minute to even restart and it doesn't always let me shift it into drive right away. This in result could cause someone to rear end me. I am noticing there is a recall called r24 which seams to be what is happening to my vehicle.

For the past two months , the vehicle is experiencing stall issues after improvise the vehicle with quality gas. I took the vehicle several times to the dealers mechanic and they are unable to solve the stalling issues .

The car will intermittently stall and shut off while driving. The car has done this numerous times while in motion on both the highway and city streets. It happened again today and every day last week, Monday thru Friday, while driving to work. The problem has progressively gotten worse and happens just about every time the car is driven. It usually happens after 20+ minutes of continuous driving. After it stalled today it would not start for 45 minutes. Chrysler and the dealership have basically washed their hands of correcting the problem at this point. They state the recall for this very problem has been completed. Yet the car continues to have the same issue as the recall that was done to fix the original issue. The dealership now wants to charge to diagnose and fix the problem.

Warning light air bag has been on won't turn off, vehicle was stationary. Vehicle loses power driving, vehicle stalls out when backing in reverse.

Car will stall and will indicate on the dash to shift into park while the d flashs on both the dash and on the gear selector. Once the car is in park and I try to restart the car it sounds like it tries to start and times out and I have to try again.

Car losing power . . . . Stalling . . . . Transmission issues when backing up and driving up a hill . . .

The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 43,000.

While driving down the street, the car stalled. This has happened 3 times within the last 5 days. It is unknown as to why this is happening, but the car stalling while driving in the flow of traffic, is a safety risk. During this time, the car would not shift into neutral, and after pressing the start button again, the car starter was continually trying to turn over and start, but didn't. After getting assistance, the car was finally pushed out of the middle of the street from it's stalled position. After getting pushed to a parked position, it finally started, but I didn't want to take the chance of it stalling again, since this has happened three times now.
