The vehicle components started failing first with lighting and electrical malfunctions. Due to the concerns I was on the way to the mechanic on 9/16/23 when the air bags deployed on the passengers side without any impact. The vehicle is at Chrysler dealer on central avenue albany, NY and available for inspection. I had just dropped off my grandchildren this could have severely had a horrible impact had they been in car. Not to mention it scared me, I was not sure what was happening. I was scared to get back in the car. I was driving on interstate this is scary for anyone driving with no visibility. Chrysler currently has the vehicle since 9/19/23. I have reached out to dealer and Chrysler corporate office with no result. They always say they will get back to me. Unless I reach out they do not respond. Claim # 87602057 with Chrysler corporation. They vehicle has been inspected by manufacturer james brozovich on 10/26/23 works with bosch automotive service solutions work #(734)979-5827 cell # (586)215-8547. The radio would blink in and out and if radio worked headlights did not work. If headlights worked radio and dashboard light did not work. Air bag light and engine light came on one time when on the way to the shop. Vehicle was on the way to shop due to electrical concerns.
Air bag light stays on constantly vehicle was checked by Chrysler in columbus GA. And was told the harness was bad quoted $1,200 dollars for the repair. However the part was unavailable on 7/12/2023 returned for the fix on 7/22/2023 and still no part. This vehicle was involved in a tragic car accident. The passengers both suffered deep laceration to the skull and other vital parts of the body. There was a recall notice that was sent to the owner 4 months after the fatal accident had occurred. Based on police inspection of the vehicle, they’ve determined there was mechanical failure to the vehicle which can be seen through a police bodycam at the police impound lot. The front passenger suffered a 6 inch deep cut to the skull according to the medical examiner’s report. The child in the rear also suffered a deep laceration to the ankle and foot despite being restrained in a child seat. Driver suffered a graze cut to the side of his head and survived the tragic accident after recovering from a coma he stated that the brakes did not function properly when depressed moments prior to the accident. Data recorder from the vehicle shows the driver was depressing the brake pedal the entirety of the time up to the moment of impact. This vehicle was t-boned by an SUV, and this accident should have been survivable, however the passenger seat looks to be torn out of its brackets according to the pictures from the accident scene. I am requesting this vehicle be investigated as there are many vehicles similar to this one that could have dangerous defects which were outlined in the safety recall notice that was mailed to the owner. The safety recall did mention to stop driving this vehicle immediately, however this notice did not arrive in a timely manner to where anyone could have taken action immediately. I am requesting that this vehicle be inspected for not only the safety of the community it’s but for identifying why two people lost their lives due to a manufacture failure that could have been prevented if notification was sent in a timely manner. Thank you and I look forward to following up with someone regarding this immediate and dangerous concern. I have the original letters and when they were mailed to the owner.

March 24th 2023 @ 1:58 pm I was sitting at a red light behind another car, when I was rear ended @ 40+ mph and pushed in to the car ahead of me. The air bags never deployed after colliding with the car in front of me causing my head to hit the steering wheel and the roof of my car. I was unconscious for 30 seconds. The front passenger door panel has separated at the top leaving an open gap between the window and the door. It appears that the rubber molding was not manufactured properly and as heat from the sun warms up the molding, it deforms, pulls up and separates. The problem has continued to worsen over time and is approaching the door locking mechanism. It is also now possible for water to get to the inside of the door. This is a non-moving part that was defective at the time of manufacture, but took time to malfunction.

No recaller.
We were in an accident where we were tboned and a car ran a red light at 50 miles bet hour hitting us on the passenger side and not one airbag in my vehicle went off.
The air bags were replaced in my vehicle due to a recall. Now my air bag light is on and the buttons and horn do not work. The airbag clock spring is broken. The air bags were replaced by the dealership. Should the clock spring be replaced covered due to this issue?.
Unknown, plastic around window frame is popping off. I believe it to be due to heat however was advised it may cause side air bag deployment issues. After googling I found this to be a known issue.
On 11/15/2022, the consumer had a scheduled service appointment at hendrick Chrysler motor vehicle dealership located at 1628 montgomery hwy, hoover, alabama, regarding stop drive recall zd1, s43, and r25. The consumer was directed to sign insurance related paperwork to have the recall service performed. The consumer explained that the service was related to a recall and would not sign any insurance related paperwork. The consumer was advised by service personnel that the recall service would be performed and the motor vehicle was left with the service department to have the recall service performed. Shortly thereafter, the consumer was advised via telephone call that the recall service would not be performed. The consumer does not believe that any insurance paperwork is applicable to have recall service performed. Because the motor vehicle dealership and/or the motor vehicle manufacturer have been unwilling to provide service regarding the stop drive recall(s), the consumer is requesting guidance from the national highway traffic safety administration for resolution.

Dealer is unable to order the recalled air bag. I had it in to be fixed a month ago, verified with dealer they had the part before I made the appointment. Took it in and they advised it is on backorder. Called 1q/10 and they advised they are not allowed to order the part. What am I supposed to do?.
Inside door panel warping peeling away from window can interfere with the side airbag deployment. They can also prevent the door locks and anti-theft systems from activating, or mess with the heating and cooling systems.
I don't know what had happened I was driving one day and my air bag light came on and it stayed on. Never been in a accident since I got the car had it since 2021.
Door panel warped, causing issue with side air bag deployment. Chrysler has known of this issue and refuses to issue recall.
The air bag light comes on n off with a passenger in the seat and also the shifter sometimes doesn’t shift into gear I have to unplug battery for 10 minutes to reset system that comes to the electrical situation.

Recall notice for passenger air bag was sent three years ago. Vehicle was brought to dealership and held for a week to replace air bag. Vehicle was returned with air bag not replaced. I was told to wait for a call when they receive more air bags and they would schedule for replacement. As of today, three years later, I am being told the air bags are still not available for purchase or replacement under recall.
The door molding on the passenger side is now over 1 inch pulled away from the window because of heat. The door molding may cause issues when/if the airbags are deployed. Now two other doors are having the same issue but not as large of a gap between the window and molding.

My door panels are peeling away from the area where the trim and window meet on my driver side and passenger. Upon research, I've discovered this is an issue going back ever since 2014 with Chrysler and Dodge vehicles upon further research, this issue can lead to issues with side air bags not being able to possibly be deployed (I have not experienced this),driver & passenger window being affected by heating and cooling of the ac (I've experienced this with my windows not being able to adequately defrost fast enough, as well as my windshield), and issues with the doors automatic locks not locking. Hundreds of thousands of Chrysler & Dodge owners have experienced this and evidence can be found online, especially in forums - in particular mopar forums and reddit. My vehicle hasn't been inspected by police, insurance, manufacturer in particular to this issue, as I've discovered there's nothing can be done since I'm out of warranty and refuse to pay for this. No warning lamps of that nature have illuminated. This has been an issue since late 2018, early 2019 for me. I've owned my vehicle since may 2018.
My door panels are peeling away from the area where the trim and window meet on my driver side and passenger. This is also causing problems with my door locking and it may also affect airbag deployment. I feel that there needs to be a recall on these door panels, and they need to be installed properly.
