Failure Date: 08/22/2019

Check engine light comes on, vehicle has no power, can't accelerate. Shows codes p0340 p0365 u1428. This is the second time this has happened with this vehicle! I was on the freeway and the accelerator pedal is totally unresponsive. Holding it to the floor kept the speed steady until I was able to pull off the side of the road.

2 Check Engine Light On problem of the 2014 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 01/02/2019

Engine cylinder #2 misfire, I work as a sedan driver for a limousine company and I'm experiencing problems with my 2014 Chrysler 300, took it to the repair shop because the check engine light was on, the diagnose was a misfire on cylinder #2, the shop replace spark plugs and coil packs, after resetting the check engine light the mechanic took the car for a road test and the engine light came back. After scanning the car again the same code came out for a misfire on cylinder #2. The tested fuel injectors and engine compression and everything was fine. I was told by the mechanic that the only fix is to replace the head cylinder. After talking to other drivers that own the same vehicle as mine, the told me that some of them are having the same problem, and 2 of them they did replace the cylinder head already. Due to the type of work we do we put a lot of miles on our vehicles, so far I 116,000 miles so I'm definitely not cover under warranty.

Low oil levels, oil light and check engine light always on. Kept taking the car in to have it checked, we were told nothing was wrong, just keep adding oil. That made no sense as there had to be a reason for this. Was finally diagnosed as oil sludge and engine was destroyed and needed to be replaced. 12 Check Engine Light On problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 03/25/2015

2006 Chrysler 300. Bought this car for my 16 year old daughter to drive. The car starting stumbling and stalling at random times, and speeds, once while driving at 80 mph the rpms dropped to 0 and the check engine light flashed; it always just flashes. Then just as fast as the rpms dropped to zero it came right back up. The car jumped forward like I floored the peddle. I have managed to capture this on video, because it went on acting this way for several miles. Then it was fine for about another 150 miles. Then. It returned. I have taken it to the dealer 3 times and they say no codes no problem, the forth time it happened I got a code u0100 and p0700. With my scan tool but again dealer says they cant find anything wrong and there is no codes. When asked how was the check engine light on if there were no codes. The answer was they did not know. This problem still is present to this day. It still stalls and shuts down at any given speed. Rather its parked or running 80. The car use to restart ok but now the restarting is becoming an issue. I just made the first payment on it a few days ago. I bought this car from a Dodge dealer. Here's what I am going to do. Its well documented (by me and the dealer) that this car has a problem. They say its safe, they say no codes no problems. So im going to continue driving it and if something goes wrong (heaven forbid) Chrysler will be funding my retirement. So thanks Chrysler. I'm trusting you and your representatives. You say no codes no problem. Please consider this another piece of documentation.

Failure Date: 12/19/2013

I was driving on the highway on my way home from work and all a sudden the check engine light came on and the car shut down and the rpm dropped. I couldn't steer or anything. There was no warning or nothing luckily I was able to drift slowly to the side and there wasn't no serious accident. I restarted my car and it drove normally after this incident but check engine light stayed on then again today on the 24th of December I was driving to the store and the same thing happen but again good thing I was in the far right lane to pull over. . . Im not a rocket scientist but this isn't safe to drive my car and especially while I have my kids in the car, something bad can happen.

18 Check Engine Light On problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 11/18/2013

I was driving my car down the street at approximately 30mph and the engine shut down without any warning; however, the radio and dashboard lights stayed on. I was able to start the car up immediately with no hesitation. This happened once on 11/18/2013 and twice on 11/20/2013. The check engine light never illuminated to indicate a problem on any of the 3 occasions nor have any codes been put out. On 11/21/2013, I had the car towed to a repair facility. Prior to these 3 incidences, I had never had this problem nor any major problem with my vehicle, which I purchased brand new in June 2005. This problem did not occur after refueling, my tank was half full when the problem first occurred. The repair facility has had my vehicle for 7 days now and the car has stalled on them several times as well, however, they have no idea what the problem is. The facility has been in contact with Chrysler technicians and has researched the technical bulletins, with no solution to the problem. The repair facility determined that the issue sounded related to the throttle body even though the car didn't kick out any code so they checked the throttle body and noted that its voltage was out of the specification range so they replaced it and updated/reset the car's computer, but this did not fix the problem as the car has stalled since they've replaced the throttle body.

20 Check Engine Light On problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 08/02/2013

Once getting off the interstate and turning onto a frontage road, driving 35 mph my car lost power and stalled. I pulled onto the side of the road, turned my car off, and it turned back on. However, this problem has been occurring off and on since August 2013 (7-8xs). It most commonly stalls after filling up with gas. The steering wheel will often times become locked when trying to make a turn when the car stalls. The esp/bas light, check engine light, and a red light with a lightening bolt with vertical lines on each side of it (symbol not in Chrysler manual) all turn on when the car stalls. The car stalls 3-4xs before making it to the destination. I have brought my car in to an automotive repair shop 3xs and leave without any explanation of the current problem.

23 Check Engine Light On problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 03/13/2012

Our Chrysler 300c has stopped running while driving at least 10 times over the last year or so. On freeway and city streets. It usually starts back up once your stopped. My wife is afraid to drive it anymore. It is a very scary situation. No engine, no ps and no brakes. No code or check engine light. Everyone I have talked to with a 300 has had the same problem, no matter what the year or engine. Like most there is no sense taking it to dealer. They just say no code and give you some bs story about what caused it. No come up with a fix. Chrysler knows they have a problem and won't man up and fix it. They would rather someone die first to save money. It has to be in the computer. Just like Toyota and their fly by wire throttle that was causing all the crashes. What is the public suppose to do if they won't step up.

33 Check Engine Light On problem of the 2007 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 10/01/2008

I've owned the car for six and a half years now. At times the car just loses power without any warning. This happens intermittently and doesn't seem to matter what speed I'm going or what the road conditions are. It happens in good weather (dry roads) and bad weather (wet snowy roads). It's happened both with the cruise control on and off. It has happened at least 10 times to date. At times the car slows to almost a complete stop and then takes off again. At times it has come to a complete stop. I've had to turn the car off and back on again and it's fine. Lately when it happens if I press the gas petal repeatedly the car will take off again and be fine until the next time it happens. I've never had any check engine light or instrument panel light come on. I've taken it to the Chrysler dealer a few times throughout my ownership but it never duplicates the problem for them (of course). The car now has 113,000 miles on it and is out of warranty (figures). This is very dangerous.

35 Check Engine Light On problem of the 2007 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 07/10/2008

I have a 2007 Chrysler 300. I bought it used on 6/14/08. Within a month that I bought it, the car stalled on me. A Chrysler dealership/garage was not able to find anything major except the throttle had built in debris. Ever since that time, the car has not ran smoothly. Most of the times, the car feels that it loses energy/power when I start to drive it (like when I start the engine and start driving). It also makes a noise when it needs to "shift" to the next power (it is automatic transmission). In 6/09-7/09, my engine light turned on, which the garage that I had to take it to that can repair any type of emission issues needed to replace a valve and then the light did not turn on anymore. Even after this repair, the car continues to feel like if it loses power. I have regular oil changes done so I do not know what is wrong. I feel that there can be some manufacture defect; however, since I have complained about the issues to different dealerships, they seem not to find any problems.
