3 Loud Engine Noise problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Tl the contact owned a 2006 Chrysler 300. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The contact pulled the vehicle over and a loud abnormal noise came from the fuel tank area. The vehicle caught fire underneath the hood and undercarriage. Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. The contact was included in NHTSA campaign id number: 14v567000 (electrical system) but was unable to get the part for longer than a year. The contact stated that a failure progressed in which the vehicle stalled with no warning. The contact heard an abnormal noise coming from the engine and the oil light illuminated. The vehicle was able to restart and was taken to a dealer who diagnosed that the ignition module failed and that the part was on back order. The dealer provided a temporary remedy of modifying the ignition switch and upon restarting the vehicle the dealer indicated that there was an engine failure after the dealers temporary solution.
