We took our 2008 Chrysler 300 in to the local Chrysler dealer for ignition switch recall #14v567000. After recall performed, the auto rain sensing wipers, remote start, remote trunk release, auto dim headlights and tire pressure monitor did not work. Per the dealer, the antenna connection failed and had to be repaired at no cost. However the tire pressure monitor required new sensors which cost me $514. 68. I filed a claim with Chrysler and they offered to pay 50% . All of these systems were operating prior to the recall work, apparently the new module could not receive the signals from the sensors. (see dealers statement on attached invoice) my understanding of a recall is that it is to be done at no cost to the owner, if there is a cost, owners will not bring their vehicles in for repair. But for the recall I would not have had to pay for new tire sensors.
We received recall notice p57 from Chrysler regarding wireless ignition node module which can cause disabling of power steer, power brakes and airbags to cause increase risk of crash resulting in vehicle occupant injury or death. After numerous contacts with rude argumentative Chrysler recall personnel, we are informed that Chrysler. . . Refuses. . . Yes that is correct. . . Refuses. . . To send the required parts to the local dealer for the required safety repair.

When I attempted to insert the key (fob) into the wireless ignition node wireless control module, the car did not cut off when I removed the key. The car continued to run, I did not know how to cut the car off so luckily it didn't have that much gas and it just cut off after the gas ran out. This was very scary. I contact my local dealership and they said that they had recalls on some caravans ignition module the same year but not on my vehicle.

The only power I have is from the key fob to unlock/lock the door open the trunk and the head lights work. But my radio doesn't work, locks, windows, horn, or anything else. When I turn the key fob to start its just dead with no power or crank. I did notice over the past few day that when I started my car that there was a longer delay before it would start. Had the tipm replaced but it still will not start, was told that the win is bad and not part of the recall. With no win module then there is no ignition, Chrysler is aware of the issue with the win but do not want to fix it.

The consumer stated shortly after receiving a recall notice, she began having difficulty starting the vehicle. The dealer informed the consumer the parts were not available. In February 2015, the vehicle did not start at all. The vehicle was repaired by a third party company. The ignition module was replaced, which was the part that was being recalled. Chrysler assured the consumer, she would receive reimbursement. When the consumer called back, she was informed her case was closed, even though all the necessary paperwork was in order. Chrysler re-opened the case and informed the consumer her claim would be processed. The consumer stated she continued to get the run-a-around.
Made several complaints to Chrysler around November 2014 regarding my car cutting off and periodically not starting. I received a recall from the fca around that same time for "win module and frequency operated button ignition key (fobik's p57". . I have a 5 yr. Loan on my car and Chrysler assured me that this issue would be resolved. I received a letter from Chrysler manufacture customer service/field operations in August 2015 stating that both recall parts had come in and I was to contact my nearest dealer. Well, the NHTSA 14v-567 airbag had come in. It has been corrected. Thank you, but although that is also a serious issue, what is giving me a problem is the cutoff & start. My family & I feel unsafe! not to mention not being able to have a car that I can depend on. I am very disappointed that this hasn't been corrected. It appears to be getting worse. Chrysler said the part was in. . . Is it or not?!!!! I need to make sure that my family is safe and my children can get to and from school & appointments. This is ridiculous!.

I bought a new Chrysler 300 in 2008. The 300 is having very major issues in July 10, 2010 / September 09 , 2011 / September 04 2012 / August 12 , 2013/ , June 2014 / September 2014 the 300 had to be towed many times because the car will not start; this car was shutting down while driving what is very dangerous and scary ; when we put the car in neutral the car might restart, we had some very unsafe driving concerns at this time when the vehicle was stalling repetitively anywhere (freeway, regular street, when driving slow, fast), we were told it was due to a faulty ignition module and 6 times we came to Chrysler it was something related to a faulty ignition we kept driving the 300 not feeling safe , the car stalls anytime ,anywhere , the dealership seems unable to fix the issue . My wife who mainly drove the car decided to let me drive the 300 because she was not feeling safe driving with the kids scared to get into a car accident because the engine never stopped shutting down anywhere she drives ( freeway, street) the ignition issue is consistent 1 year apart ,July 2010,September 2011,September 2012 , August 2013 June 014 ,September 2014 , I am certain if nothing seriously is done I will contact you again next year for the same issue. This faulty ignition issue must be fix permanently at Chrysler dealership cost; my family is not safe driving this car; ; the dealership is well aware of the issue for many years now but they ignore us. I have enough that is why I contact you to see if anything you can do to help me resolving this issue. I will ask first for a refund associated to all ignition issues and a total fix of the problem I sent a certified complaint letter to Chrysler in June 2014 but still waiting for a response.
: the contact stated after shifting the transmission from park to reverse, the brake pedal was released and the vehicle accelerated on its own. The brake pedal was depressed again, but the vehicle did not respond. The vehicle stopped after hitting a ditch. There was minor damage to the vehicle and no injuries. The vehicle was towed the dealership, the computer stored no codes and the dealer was unable to duplicate the problem. Updated 8/1/2006 - the consumer's vehicle started electrical problems a week after it was purchased. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer several times for repairs. The radio went out then came back on. The all the panel light went out. The dealer replaced the cluster. The esp bas light illuminated on the dash. The dealer replaced the parking brake switch. The driver's side window auto up function failed. The dealer calibrated the auto up function. When turning the key to start the vehicle it doesn't start. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries before the vehicle will start. The dealer replaced the wireless control module. Ignition switch was replaced because the vehicle wouldn't start.
