1 Battery Dead problem of the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 08/24/2020

Battery failure of both batteries with any advanced warning via icon in the dashboard. I was on an exit ramp off a bust parkway with husband, daughter, and 2 granddaughters in the car. My husband and I are seniors. Dead car. Hazards didn't even work. Kids climbed over the seats to get out the front door. Sliding doors didn't work. Scary occurrence. Could have been far worse if I was going 60mph on the parkway. Car was ultimately towed to the dealer. They told me I neede to get new batteries every 2 to two and a half years. That's a short life for a battery. Chrysler must use junky batteries.

2 months after recall for the auto start/stop service, the service stopped working and light came on engine. Could not start car until 3rd attempt. Happened two ties after engine shut off. Brought to dealer, aux battery has 0 charge and a cell in main battery is now bad. Reading several forums this has been common after recall even though it should not have affected it. $189 for diagnostic and $642 to fix, not covered by warranty.

3 Battery Dead problem of the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 10/19/2019

The start/stop icon appeared on the dash and alerted that the system is not working. It was taken into dealership where they said the auxiliary battery was dead. Auxiliary battery was replaced but light did not go off. Taken back into dealership and was told that it takes time for it to charge and alert should go off after driving. Alert did not go off and was taken back to dealership where they said that the battery system is not charging. Had to reschedule another diagnostic appointment for next week as they did not have time to fix it. None of this covered under warranty as 2017 Pacifica has 45,000 miles. Also alerted the dealership about the hard stop jerking that occurs at shift change around 15-20 mph intermittently. They said that this could not be investigated due to the auxiliary battery not functioning.

7 Battery Dead problem of the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 07/11/2019

Very frequently the utheater application will not work after shutting van off and restarting. We have gone through 1 battery a year even though it is supposed to have a 5 year life. After stopping at a red light the auto start/stop causes the van to die. I had to completely restart the van. Out of nowhere driving home doing about 50 mph it flashed a low battery alert then died within 2 minutes while driving. Thank god I was only a block from home and it was downhill. My van just had the battery replaced again and again won't start. This battery is 2 weeks old. I had turned off the auto start/stop as directed by my dealership and it continues to drain batteries. After doing research I found about 100 cases with the same issues. If I would have still be on the highway when it died I could have been hit. This has happened about a dozen or more times in the year and a half we have had the van. The first time the battery died was less than 2 months after purchasing the van. New battery was put in at request at purchase. Died after going maybe 20 miles an hour.

8 Battery Dead problem of the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 01/10/2019

This morning my 2018 hybrid limited was dead. I purchased it new three weeks ago. It had been plugged in overnight using the 110 charger that came with the van. It would not start, and briefly flashed some kind of service needed warning on the screen. Then the screen turned off and the vehicle repeatedly made a clicking sound. The van was completely unresponsive. I noticed the windshield wipers were ever so slowly in motion back and forth. I checked the switch but the wiper was set to the off position. None of the wiper controls would change the setting. The dealership set me up with a number for Chrysler tow. I was on the phone about 20ft away when suddenly the van started rolling backward down the driveway and into the street! I ran over and checked it and still everything was unresponsive, the wipers no longer moving however the parking brake button, and shifter buttons, and overhead lights were flashing. We had the van towed to the dealership. They said the battery was bad and replaced it. . Read more...

9 Battery Dead problem of the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 09/03/2018

Drivers side sliding door was repaired once due to not locking and opening when parked or when driving, dealer replaced auxiliary battery and reprogrammed. Again I have an issue, my main battery died for no reason. Chrysler roadside jumped my vehicle and know the door has the same issues with the drivers side sliding door. Now the door wont work properly and the rear locking mechanism is not pulling the door in to lock it, I had to apply pressure to help it engage the mechanical lock.

11 Battery Dead problem of the 2007 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 11/01/2013

I was driving down the street at approximately 25 miles per hour and lost the ability to accelerate. The electronic throttle control light came on. I turned the car off and back on and the car drove normally for about a mile, and then behaved the same way. I went to the dealer for an inspection a month after purchasing the vehicle because the perform service indicator was displayed, the only suggestion was to fix motor mounts. The battery died on me a week later, and now the car is losing power while I'm in traffic. The vehicle is turning into a money pit.

13 Battery Dead problem of the 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 12/15/2007

The car leaks in heavy rain and snow. From the sunroof and the sides of both front passenger doors, the water comes out through the side impact air bags and electrical panels. This somehow also causes the car battery to die.

14 Battery Dead problem of the 2006 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 12/15/2005

I brought the car brand new in 2005 two weeks after we brought it it stalled out we took it to the dealership they were suppose to fix it. It is still occurring and it is now 2007 this is my 3rd time taking it in and also my radio does not work anymore and the battery dies after 15 minutes of leaving the key in the ignition. The dealership said it was "normal" for this to happen on Pacifica. I was irate. Now im in the process of the dealership buying it back and im also looking into the lemon law.
