While visiting in canada vehicle wouldn't start. Towed to nearest Chrysler dealer. Told the win module(part#05026147ah) was bad. None available in canada. Made me suspicious there was a problem. Chrysler service(file#23784381)suggested a shortage because part was part of a recall on 2010 town/country vans as well as other models in u. S. Why isn't my van included?same part, probably same mechanically. I have had to be towed, waited in canada 2 days, returned home(4. 5 hr drive) waiting 2 weeks plus without vehicle and will have to go back some day for vehicle. This is getting very expensive.

The vehicle is subject to recall l25/NHTSA 14v-373. The engine shuts off during operation putting the driver and passengers at risk of harm. On one occasion, the shut down occurred when entering traffic. On another occasion it occurred in moderately heavy traffic while traveling on the interstate at 65 mph. The problem began in April 2012. The pattern is the same, after a series of shutdowns, the ignition locks up and the vehicle will not start. The vehicle is then towed to a Chrysler dealership where repairs are performed at the owner's expense. The repair receipts indicate that Chrysler replaces the transmitter and receiver (key fob). These repairs have been ineffective. The repair lasts for a few months and then the problem resurfaces. The most recent incident occurred on December 23, 2014. After a series of shutoffs, the engine wouldn¿t start. The vehicle was towed to the Chrysler dealership where it is presently located. On December 24, 2014, the Chrysler dealership refused to repair the vehicle, stating that Chrysler will not authorize the work. On December 26, 2014, the manufacture was informed of the problem via telephone discussion on the Chrysler recall assistance hotline (800-853-1403). The call was unproductive. Chrysler refuses to make any repairs until the spring of 2015 under recall l25/NHTSA 14v-373. The vehicle will not start and is unusable in its current condition. The vehicle is the owner¿s sole source of transportation for work and family related needs. Chrysler is unwilling to provide a rental car replacement until repairs are made in spring of 2015. Since Chrysler has failed or is unable to remedy this defect without charge within a reasonable time, the owner is making this complaint to the administrator, national highway traffic safety administration and to the kentucky attorney general.

We have had multiple electrical problems with the vehicle since we have had it. Most have been related to the sliding doors not completely shutting and reopening as if there was something in the way. The dealer can not findd anything wrong with the door sensors. The most recent issues have been much worse. One time while driving down the road, all of the dashboard lights started flashing, the key in the ignotion alarm started beeping (while driving with the key in), the radio went to 12:00 then reset it back to the correct time. This lasted about 3 minutes, then it was all done and working fine. 3 times that we had stopped at traffic lights the car just stalled. But it was able to restart right away. One time the car would not start up at all for a few minutes, then it started on the fifth try. Just yesterday, we had to have the van towed, my wife was driving, she stopped at a light and the car stalled but it would not do anything at all. The doors did not unlock, thankfully hers was still unlocked. The hazards would not work, all the interior lights would not turn on. We had it towed the the dealer, where it did eventually start. The dealer replaced a module for the electronic key 1 week ago, but the issues have occurred still.
