Vehicle was stationary and parked for hours in the driveway. For no reason the alarm went off on my car. Found key fob to shut off alarm. Daughter went to see what happened, then came to tell me there was smoke coming from my rear passenger sliding door. Went outside and heard noise that door was trying to open. Used key fob to try to unlock door. Tried to manually open door. Door wouldn't open and smoke continued. Didn't know if fire was inside door and was parked by garage so called 911 to put out potential fire. Concerned that there was electrical problem so continued to park car in street not close to house. Called Chrysler customer service and they said they would send an investigator due to concern of fire. Dealer said problem was due to a broken door latch and mechanical assembly mechanism needed to be replaced in addition to door handle for $1200, but didn't want to get work done until I got the information from the investigation. About 3 weeks later got a letter from Chrysler special investigations. They said due to the age and mileage of my vehicle, there are a number of factors outside the manufacturer's control that could have been contributed to your incident. Not happy with the explanation from dealer or investigator. Why did the alarm go off? and car door decide to open for no reason and the latch was apparantly broke at same time? even though there were no issues the night before with using the door. And what caused the smoke and potential fire? reading other complaints now wondering if problem was/is the tipm total integrated power module?.
Just replaced my battery from aaa and was told everything else is good just my battery is completely drained and this morning I could not start my car at all then later it started but I got stuck at work now and it wont start at all not even a jump will help. Also while driving it goes crazy from time to time and the speedometer shoots up soo high that I get scared and have to hold on tight to the steering wheel. My ac works when it wants too and in Jan I was told my van's back calipers are shot. I was driving for a year with no back calipers meanwhile the front one got stuck and turned bright red and I had to get that one replaced last year. Its just one problem after another. I feel like im constantly replacing something.

Intermittently, while driving, the driver's seat with activate and move backwards a few inches and then forwards a few inches. This is often accompanied by an audible chime and the dashboard lights flashing on once. The speedometer and tachometer will also briefly start to drop toward 0 when the dashboard lights flash on before returning to normal when the dashboard lights turn off. The movement of the driver's seat while actively driving could be a serious safety issue when it occurs unexpectedly or if it were to happen to move all the way forward or backward. This behavior at times will repeat every minute or so. Other times it will not occur for several days.

My traction sensor is not working which is causing my a safety issue. When I start driving (in motion), the abs traction starts even when there is no water, ice or poor driving conditions. The dealership replaced the abs module and its still doing it. They now say they will have to replace the sensor in the steering column (wheel). This is very scary as it stops my acceleration and it affects the anti-lock breaks. I was hoping this was all due to an minor auto collision but the insurance company told me there is absolutely no way this could have been caused because of it. They said its a coincidence and that it just happened on its own at the same time. I would say the fault is unknown.

Front blower fan cuts on and off. Had blower fan, head control unit, and blower fan resistor changed yet still doesn't work. Front blower fan should be wired like rear blower fan and not go through tipm.
Headlights turn on momentarily and then turn off. . They flicker. Vehicle can be stationary. Or while driving. If driving cannot always be sure the headlight have come or just the fog lights. Fog lights remain on headlights are questionable after turning them on from head lamp switch.

I started my vehicle in a parking lot and the wipers, seat belt alarm and lights came on and would not turn off and the windows would not operate. I turned off the car and started it again. I began driving and the same thing happened. I pulled over and turned the car off and started it again and this time it stopped. I continued on to my destination and then went home. The next day, I was running an errand on my lunch break and it happened again. I returned to work and when I left for the day, I had another errand to run and half way to my destination, it happened again! I had to drive 20 miles home with the wipers and alarms going and the windows down because the power was not functioning.
I was driving with the air conditioning on & suddenly stinky smoke started coming out of the vents.
