I filed with the manufacturer. . . And once again the run round. Sent me to you. . . So below is my complaint. Hello my name is tasha dimon. I purchased this 2014 Chrysler town and country believing it would be a safe vehicle for my familyso the event today was the van just decided to shut off as I am driving 50mph down the road! I couldn't turn, I couldn't put it in neutral nor could I brake! I have a 5yo and a 3yo in my car!!! really?! all these sensors and bullshit in this car makes it fatal! there was a semi behind me that proceeded to flip me off and blow the horn at me instead of seeing if we were ok. We could have been killed! I have an appointment tomorrow to bring the car in however this is a serious situation. No warning! no nothing! no check engine light. Let me just tell you a little more about this pos I bought it with 30k miles on it. I only had it for about 6 months and had to have the entire transmission rebuilt which still to this day shifts hard and feels like its going to literally fall out of the car. After that is was a tire sensor, then both seats in the second row wont work and they want $1200 to fix a cable! I folded them into the floor maybe 4 times as we use them when going on vacation! the sliding doors act up like they are having a seizure! the pieces all around the car are broken. The running boards the piece in the back where the trunk is and the pieces on the front where it says Chrysler. The air conditioner went out! which took 3 times for the repair man to figure it out because there was no code for the problem! then when they had to tear the whole dash apart to fix the problem now the clock doesn't work and the speedometer ticks like the is a bomb in my dash!.

In June the engine had to be replaced in my vehicle. In may, the oil container was replaced. Now in September the transmission is being replaced. Last year sometime, there were electrical issues addressed. Now the air conditioning in the back of the vehicle does not work. It seems we are totally rebuilding the Chrysler Town & Country 2015 all at substantial costs to me. While they are putting in a new transmission, they tell me that they are too busy to check the electrical issue and the air conditioning troubles. Yet I waited for nearly a month for a westchester dealer to replace the engine and they did not honor my additional insurance by giving me a rental vehicle - so I had no transportation. I have had a horrible time with the troubles, inconveniences and costs. Don't I have any rights here? I was driving my vehicle on narrow streets in a busy resort area - thank god it was very early in the morning because the car just stopped running with no warning. This turned out to be transmission on Sunday morning labor day weekend! I am still in the resort area paying for housing while they "fix" my transmission. Parts were to arrive yesterday sept 10th but didn't arrive until early this evening. They are not sure they can have it fixed by Friday sept 13, 2019. Last summer the electrical stability went bonkers. That was another issue. Also my vehicle keeps going down in value. I owe more on it than it is now worth. Documentation is with my vehicle which is currently undergoing transmission repairs. That is documentation of all of these repairs since making this purchase less than 18 months ago.

Rear air conditioning evaporator piping leaking freon 134a into car. Dye checked and found it was in tubing not at a joint. Should be manufacturer defect.
This is the third time the air conditioning has failed. The first time nothing was found. They put in "freon". The second time they found that it was the evaporator leaking. . We are waiting to take it on for three time. The dealerships haven't been all that accommodating. Being without ac in florida is a real bummer.

We noticed the air conditioning was making a hissing noise. No cool air blowing out. Was told it was our rear evaporator. The van only has 29,083 miles on it. But the warranty is up because it is 3 yr. Old in July 2015. Had a 2006 Chrysler minivan and had same thing happen but they had extended the warrant to 7 yr or 70,000 miles, so we didn't have to pay. This repair on a 2012 Chrysler town and country is going to be $1100. 00. Very unfair of Chrysler not to fix this problem under warranty. Very unhappy with Chrysler.
The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler town and country. While driving at an unknown speed, a fuel odor emitted from the vehicle without warning. Prior to the fuel odor, the air conditioner became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the rear evaporator condenser needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 78,000.
The a/c grommet is leaking at the firewall and causing the passenger side of the van to become wet while the a/c is on. If the a/c is ran long enough the drivers side also becomes wet. I know there is a recall on these starting from the manufacturing date of February 2007 and going until June or July 2008. My van was manufactured in January 2007. I believe that my van should be added to the recall since it is doing the same thing. Please help us.

Issue- driver window stopped working then sometimes it closes very slowly then stops. During the winter I opened the window to get gas and window would not close. Seen same make and model with similar issues. Issue 2- air conditioner front condenser gets damage allot with stuff coming off the road especially on highway. Creates a hole and very expensive repair. 3 times are ready this happened. Issue 3 - rust forming next to tail pipe on passenger side of van. Rust spreading now to under carriage of door. To much damaged has occurred before noticing the rust on the side. Expensive repairs.

A tall beverage glass was placed in the cup holder of the van. Since the air conditioning on/off button is positioned in line with the cup holder, the button was unknowingly pressed and the air conditioning compressor was disabled which caused the van to become excessively hot and the person inside suffered a heat stroke. This is a blatant design flaw!!!!!.

The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked when she noticed that the air conditioner was leaking fluid onto the floorboards. As a result, the air bag light intermittently illuminated on the instrument panel. The failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 69,000 and the current mileage was 73,000.
The air conditioner no longer works. It went out at less than 50 thousand miles. Smoke came through the vents into the cabin. There was an electrical smell and loud noises. I no longer use the a/c and consequently don't drive the vehicle unless I have to. How can an a/c go out at less than 50 thousand miles? I still consider the vehicle new!.

Tl-the contact owns a 2001 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated the factory installed tape deck/cd component would not operate in the play mode or reject properly. In addition, the air conditioner failed to function when activated and the faulty air conditioner condenser was replaced two different times. Also, both power sliding doors locks failed to function which resulted to the replacement of the motor. The previous repairs on the vehicle where performed by an authorized dealer on separate occasions. Recently, the contact discovered two recalls associated with the prior defects under NHTSA campaign id numbers; 01i003000 (latches/locks/linkages: doors: latch), and 04v531000 (equipment: electrical: radio/tape deck/cd etc. ). The VIN was not included in the recall defects. The manufacturer was made aware of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000. Js.

Problems with engine when air conditioner or heater was operative. (nar) the consumer noticed that when the heat or a/c were on the engine strained. The dealer replaced the compressor but that did not alleviate the problem. The consumer also noticed a clicking sound coming form the steering wheel and the steering wheel seemed loose. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the parts were ordered to make the repair. Prior to the repairs being made the consumer's son lost control of the vehicle damaging the entire driver's side. The driver indicated that he was attempting to make a right hand turn when he heard a pop and lost control of the vehicle. The steering box was replaced under warranty but a few months later the pop noise returned.
