1 Electrical Jack problem of the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country

Failure Date: 10/12/2015

Recall concern: I got notice regarding the wireless ignition node (win) in April of this year. I came to dealership and I was told the parts were not available and were on "back order". I checked again in June. . . . . . . . Still back order " August still back order " today 10/12/2015. . . Still back order. This must be a vendor problem if not a mopar problem. Bottom line the parts are not being delivered. I have been told stories about 2 different customers being stranded because of this particular problem. . I do not want to be one of those stranded people. Please review and advise ! thank you. Jack cronin.

2 Electrical Jack problem of the 2014 Chrysler Town & Country

Failure Date: 12/30/2014

I was changing the left front tire because the tire had a nail in it. I used the tire jack from the vehicle. The vehicle was raised and the tire was removed and the jack collapsed. The vehicle was perfectly level in a garage with a cement floor. The vehicle was in park. I did not set the emergency brake or block the tires. Nothing was touching or rocking the vehicle at the time of the incident. Looking at the jack afterwards, the screw bolt was bent and the upper arms were bent.

3 Electrical Jack problem of the 2014 Chrysler Town & Country

Failure Date: 08/12/2014

This is not an accident. This is a safety concern regarding the engine starting/stop button when operating the vehicle using the start/stop button you can exit the vehicle with the engine running without any type of warning signal that the engine is still running such as a warding chime horn beep or a vibration on the key fob. It is easy to forget to press the stop button when leaving the vehicle. As we have experienced several times. The dangerous concern with this lack of a safety notification is the car can be left running in an enclosed garage spreading deadly carbon monoxide through a home. Or having a car stolen while fueling the car or doing things that would leave the car unlocked. If I place the start/stop button the accessory position the horn beeps and the headlights flash and the interior lights flash. These warnings will stay on for several minutes. But not if the engine is running. Interesting fact is that other manufactures such as Honda and kia do have warning sounds to remind the driver to stop the engine. The Chrysler dealer is not concerned and a phone call to Chrysler customer indicated they are not concerned but a memo would be sent to some place. This should be corrected before people die from CO poisoning or a car jacking.

4 Electrical Jack problem of the 2006 Chrysler Town & Country

Failure Date: 07/21/2014

The spare tire carriers do not release the tire. This can be dangerous on the highway when trying to change a tire. The cable releases but the tire stays up. You have to lay on the ground get your legs under the car while it is jacked up and with try to kick the tire loose. Very dangerous! we have a fleet of Dodge / Chrysler Mini vans most have experienced the issue. When we were notified of the Toyota campaign I immediately thought why Chrysler has not done anything about this potentially dangerous situation.

5 Electrical Jack problem of the 2006 Chrysler Town & Country

Failure Date: 10/26/2013

Stopped to inflate tires. As I started to remove the left rear tire cap it the stem blew out in my hand. I changed the tire but the additional weight blew out the second stem this time on the left front tire. I shot into the curb. By the time I got it up on the jack the right front tire stem blew and the right rear started to lose air. I had to replace 2 sensors. The right rear had been replaced already.
