While driving my kids to school going on a curve about 15 mph, the car shutdown and loss control of power steering and the braking. Findings upon inspection and diagnostics review, it was determined that the wireless ignition node (win) module is faulty. This component is critical to vehicle ignition and operation. The failure of the win module causes the engine to complete shut down while the vehicle was in motion on the highway. The shutdown resulted in an immediate loss of power steering and power breaking functions, leaving the driver with severely reduced control of the vehicle. Such a malfunction poses a significant safety hazard, as the driver is unable to maintain proper handling or safely maneuver the vehicle during operation. The win module has fail and must be replace immediately. Continued operation without repair could result in repeated engine shutdowns, increasing the risk of a crash or serious injury. Need replace the win module with an oem or certified equivalent part. Reprogram/ reinitialize the module as per manufacturer specifications. Test drive post-repair to ensure reliability and safety.

Head rest on passenger front seat deployed/malfunctioned unexpectedly. Yes it is available for inspection. It could have hit my husband in the head as he was entering the vehicle. Now I am concerned the same malfunction may happen on drivers side while vehicle is being driven. No no no warning were given.
I have owned 2 Chrysler town and countrys over the past 9 years, a 2010 and a 2016. The rear sliding door has locked up and doesn't allow the door to open. It happened to the 2010 so I decided to get a newer one and now the same thing has happened to the 2016. The 2016 also has a driver window problem where the regularactor breaks and has to be replaced. I have replaced it 4 times in the past year. My son is a mechanic and has urged me not to buy Chrysler, but I was loyal so I still have it. I am seriously considering a brand change now due to the annoyance and the safety aspect. I transport my family alot and this problem is putting a big damper on things. I have also researched this on the internet and it seems to be a common problem. Can I ask why there isn't a recall on these issues? thanks you for your time.
When coming to a stop the van will jerk, and when taking off it acts like it does not want to catch the gear, now we are expirancing no take off, it will not go past 20 miles, and when we try the engine will rev up and will not pick up speed.

A 2015-2016 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge grand caravan recall was issued due to a potential loss of motive power. The transmission pump could seize, causing a loss of hydraulic pressure. This recall also includes 2016 Dodge journey and ram promaster vehicles. To check if your specific vehicle is affected, you'll need your 17-digit vehicle identification number (VIN). This the issue I have with my van. I believe my van should be included in this recall. I cannot trust this vehicle especially on the highway. The transmission is 62te and was manufactured during the same time as the recalled vehicles. The code reader indicates the hydraulic pumps are not working. I need to have a safe vehicle that I can depend on.
The transmission on my 2016 Chrysler Town & Country with a 62te transmission is faulty. The pumps inside the transmission are not working and seizing up. I checked with recalls and according to mopar, there is no recall on my particular VIN number. But I have read that a recall was issued for 2016 Chrysler and Dodge products with the same 62te transmission as mine. I would like to register a complaint, I believe my van should be included in the recall and want someone to investigate. I have also many other minivan owners with 62te transmissions have experienced the same problem. I believe my van was missed in the initial recall and would like to believe this problem can be addressed.
First incident. Driver side sliding door lock failed. Sliding door could not be unlocked and opened from inside or outside the vehicle. Had to use other sliding door to exit van. Door had to be dismantled and failed latch replaced. Approximately 7 years old and roughly 52,000 miles. This was around 9/2023. Second incident. Passenger side sliding door lock failed. Sliding door could not be unlocked and opened from inside or outside the vehicle. Had to use other sliding door to exit / enter van. Scheduled to go in for failed latch replacement at Chrysler dealer. Approximately 9 years old and roughly 63,000 miles. Either one of these unexpected failed door latch incidents could have led to injury or possibly death.
Has had some issues trying to turn on after sitting over night. It will just kill the battery but it just started to die while driving and the entire system shuts off. All the lights, the steering wheel locks up and gas goes out. All you can do is brake and hope that you can stop in a good spot before it dies fully. This has happened a few times with my kids in the car and now I just don’t dare to drive. The tipm needs to be recalled.

Passenger front head rest exploded/ejected while pulling into driveway.
I received a letter from Chrysler regarding TSB #23-017-20 regarding the rear sliding doors unable to be opened either electrically or manually a few years ago. Recently the cars left/rear door wouldn't work. Unable to open it at all. It's a 2016 town and country with 147,421 miles on it. Well within the TSB requirements. I called a local Chrysler dealer. They told me if they decided the cars problem wasn't part of the recall they would charge me $250. 00 for diagnostics. It clearly is related since it has the same symptoms. Sounds like their way of avoiding the repairs since Chrysler will only reimburse the dealer for 1. 2 hrs when actually repair time is past 3 hours. I then called 1-800-247-9753 the number on Chrysler's service bulletin they mailed me. After a 30 minute conversation were they told me the car didn't qualify. I convinced them it did when I referred the letter they sent me. They said to contact a dealer which I told them I had. I explained their response and they said they would put a complaint regarding the dealer and there was nothing else they could do. I called another local dealer and they never bothered to call me back. I called a local car repair place since the letter says they would reimburse someone else if the repair is done somewhere else. They refused to sell the place the part to them. I entered my VIN number on Chrysler's web site that they provide to reimburse customers. The VIN number came back as not qualifying for the service bulletin. These are their ways to avoid servicing these cars under the service bulletin. I have proof the car is within the mileage limit and at this time it still is. I had to replace the part myself. My wife needed the car and couldn't wait for Chrysler. There are many places online were people with the same problem were denied the repair even though they did qualify. Thanks.
Tipm recall.

In approximately 10 separate instances starting around December 12th when I was driving my 2015 town and Chrysler Mini van, it would lose power and shut off randomly. I would attempt to steer the car to the side or middle of the road (I lost the ability to turn the wheel), shut the car off and turn it back on and the car would start up again no problem. I took the car to the dealership three times for this issue and they were not able to find an issue any of the times I brought it in. It happened once when my daughter was in the car. I was concerned from my safety because I could have been rear ended. I avoid highway driving because of this issue.
2014 Chrysler town and country: while in motion, headrest and back of seat sounded like they "exploded". Headrest had broken and snapped forward thrusting head downward towards steering wheel. Back of seat lunged forward at the same time. Now air bag light is on in vehicle. This caused headache, neck pain, back pain, and pain sensitivity to hearing.
La agencia menciona que ES un detalle DE fábrica.
I was driving down the road and suddenly my van shut down causing me to drive over a curb and now my van does not start it cranks and there is a spark however it does not turnover and start and does not run!.

Headrest on driver side exploded on 10/12/2024. I was reclining in the seat when it happened. Forced my head forward.
The driver's side, sliding door will not open manually or (using automatic) from inside of vehicle or outside of vehicle, or with the remote key. Door is stuck closed like it's jammed. I am very careful with my doors, and tell everyone not to slam them hard. I don't trust this doors safety.
Righ passenger side door making a buzzing sound when locking/unlocking sliding door. Door will not open. Just bought car yesterday, 9/14/24.
The van cut off while driving twice in one day. Took van to have battery, starter and alternator checked and all was find.
Over 2 yrs now the electrical has been haywire. In driveway the interior lights on dash lights come on and and doors lock and unlock. Driving down road on dash tells you that must put car in park to engage. Lift gate ajar. Heater turns on and off full blast front and back fans. Side doors do not work/ or work when they want to work. Battery brand new gets drained and needs to be charged 1 every month. Had alternator changed. Still does the same thing. I call this my possessed van. At my wits end. Spent much money trying to find out problem unable to locate. Changed fuses did not help. This is my second town and country. I never had a problem with my first one which was a much older model that is why I got another one. Now I am rethinking about getting another town and country. Who is going to help with all of these customer complaints with electrical issues. I am a disabled person who needs my vehicle for appointments. I cannot get stranded or break down or have a vehicle fire. I am frustrated by this company for not caring for their customers needs.

The passenger sliding door won't open.
Driver side rear sliding door lock doesn't work. The door makes a loud buzzing noise and does not unlock. The door can be unlocked manually with force. There is already a manufacturer recall for this exact same condition and part, but doesn't cover my car. My car was built 72 days prior to the start of the covered equipment, but is showing the exact same issues as those covered.
I was driving down the road and when rpms were between 1 and 2 and I applied brakes my van stalled out at the lights. My battery is new so I know it's not that. There is a large number of people that are saying there is a safety concern. I am scared to drive it in case it happens again. It was on a busy road in front of a mall. [xxx] . Please look into the number of people reporting this same issue. Also when slowing down the vehicle starts to stall like its going to die. Then I had to put myself into park and restart the vehicle and it ran fine again. I was able to get home. I have a check engine light that is related to some kind of pressure system according to o reillys auto store scanner. The safety of mysef and my child and others behind and around me put me at risk and it looks like it is a serious problem that isn't easily diagnosed. I just spend 2000 on different repairs and I explained this issue. It wasn't fixed. On that thread they are saying it could be a ecg valve gone bad. If that's the case it should be a recall. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Vehicle shuts off while driving.
Front passenger headrest exploded without being in an accident. Serious injury could have occurred.
No check engine warning, unpredictable no start, no crank. Physical well being of grandchild, others and self at risk due to high temperatures. This also puts stress on mental well being, how to fix, can I fix, the cost and constant worry of being stranded. Have not confirmed with dealer. Did have a shop review. Battery, alternator good, starter is new. Issue is sporadic and hard to duplicate, but happening daily. Research on internet shows this is common occurrence without a definitive solution. Who has to have a breakdown, not just mechanically speaking to find a solutuon?.
My car would randomly shut down while I am driving leaving me with no power steering. I took it to my mechanic who discovered it was a faulty ignition switch module and recommended I take it to a dealership. If I touch the key fob on my car or hit a bump while it is running, the car will shut down. No power steering. There are multiple recalls for faulty ignition switch modules but not on my particular vehicle (recall l25 is one of many I have discovered). I have been carefully driving the vehicle because I don't have $1500 to repair. Dealership will fix it at my expense because there is no recall on my particular vehicle.
Car would turn off randomly while driving; this primarily happened at red lights. After a moment was able to turn car back on and continue driving. Took car to mechanic and had something replaced; however, this issue continued. Took car to dealership and they confirmed that they could find nothing wrong with the car. Dealership that provided follow-up call that there was a potential fix to have pcn (?) chip updated and that this was a known issue. It does not seem safe to have a car randomly turning off while driving; especially in a large Mini van which is most commonly used by families with young children. The dealership made me pay $300 to pay for the safety fix despite it being a known issue and a safety issue. When the car would turn off this was at 0 mph but it occured coming from all different types of speeds. Foot on the break in the middle of an inner section - that is dangerous and someone speeding through and crashing into you. Pcn update was completed at Chrysler dealership.
1. Engine runs but when I shift into reverse, drive etc. Car does not move. When I took it to be looked at, they said that my transmission doesn't have pressure. There was no indicator lights on the dash or any reason for me to think anything was wrong until I went out to drive my kids to school and it wouldn't move. Available for inspection on request.
Driver side sliding door failures to open. It can not be unlocked & it can not be opened manually. Started on may 23,2024. Navigation system does not work also. . Stopped working 3yrs ago.
Dear evaporator coil going out. This is a very common issue on these vehicles and needs to be addressed.
The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked unattended, he detected smoke from the vehicle, which caught fire in the rear electrical compartment. The fire department extinguished the fire. There were no reported injuries, air bag deployment or police report filed. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified about the failure. The approximate failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.
My rear passenger sliding door doesn't lock. My rear driver sliding door won't open. This is a safety problem if I was ever in a wreck and couldn't get my grandaughter out the door due to her being in a car seat. This is a serious safety issue. If the car caught fire you would put someone in grave danger if they were in the back seats and the door wouldn't open. This is a huge problem with these vehicles and I don't think we should have to pay for it, Chrysler should.
