Vehicle poor design on the alternator bracket. Can't find a brand new part and every used part I find it has the exact same break in the same spot.

In October the flex plate cracked, repaired. It cracked again in December, repaired. Then cracked again in February, repaired and told the transmission was bad causing flex plate to crack. Cracked again this month they are now are stating it is the engine. This is a dangerous vehicle for a family. I have been without it over 35 days in 8 months. Chrysler does not want to address the issues. It had less than 100, 000 miles on it.
My vehicle's blind spot detection system stopped working while driving down the street. It began flashing and beeping incessantly and was horribly distracting. I had purchased an extended warranty so made arrangements to have it repaired at a Chrysler dealership. The dealership just called me and said that the warranty would not cover because the computer module that controls the blind spot detection system had gotten wet. The dealer said it was a design flaw and the module was placed such that over time it got cracked and moisture causes a malfunction. He said he'd seen a lot of this. So, I called Chrysler and they said there's nothing they can (will) do. This is a safety feature that is causing a safety hazard when it malfunctions. There are numerous complaints on the internet regarding this same issue. I feel there should be a recall before this malfunction causes accidents if it hasn't already.

The first time it happened we were driving in town going little under 30mph and went over railroad tracks and the whole car shuts down. . . Now anytime we're driving and go over any little bump or railroad tracks the car shuts down and I have to put in park and restart the car. The car also shuts down with any touch of the key in the ignition.
Oil filter housing is cracked and leaking oil.
The sliding door track fell apart and wires are hanging out of the door. The control panel for the windows is not working. One of the rear seatbelts are stuck. There is a delay in the starter. The air bag lights are always on.

The 2007 town and country I helped my disabled sister buy has defective door and rear lift gate issues. We were parked and shopping and I was a passenger in her car when her home health aide hit the button to open the rear hatch for me to something out of the back. The hatch lifted then let go and slammed shut shaking the entire vehicle before I could leave the vehicle. I barely got out of the way that same day when it did again. Come to find out it had happened before and my other sister was injured when the door hit her head. The same day her aide opened the left side door for me and as I extended my leg out the door it suddenly slammed shut, thankfully I was able to move fast enough to move my leg back into the vehicle before it closed. The driver side rear door does not work at all and has a chronic leak and mold in the tracks. This van is extremely unsafe!!!! I afraid my sister who does not move fast will be injured. Please help.

While I was driving my spare tire broke loose and fell off lodging itself under my town and country Mini van. This brought my car to a halt with no warning brake lights. Cars had to swarm on the grass to avoid an accident. Luckily I was in a neighborhood. If I had been on the highway a lot of people may have died, it would have caused a pile up of cars. A tire should never be placed where it can fall off and cause a safety problem where lives are in jeopardy. Chrysler would not even put a new bracket to hold my spare tire. They should be so happy that no one was injured and willing to fix a dangerous problem at no charge to me. Right before that I took my car in and said to do a multipoint inspection because I was leaving to go out of town. I had a brake light out and 3 tires that needed air. They gave me the car back and said on paperwork the inspection was done. (if they had checked would they have seen my tire problem?) when I got on the highway my light said tires need air. I called and asked if they put air in my tires and they said yes. I took my car back to my neighbor and air had not put in the tires, had to go to an auto store and buy a light. Someone was in a hurry and signed off that they checked my car and sent me on my way to travel unprepared. Due to the lies of the service center in orlando that I went to and Chrysler unwilling to fix the spare tire problem, I will never buy another Chrysler and will make sure I let people know my experience. They said no one else had a tire fall off so they do not see it as an issue. So now it is on record, so if it happens to someone else and a life is lost, Chrysler does know of the potential problem.

Myself, the driver and my wife were (riding in the passenger seat), with my son 2 year old sitting in his car seat in the middle row. The current outside temperature outside was 70 degrees f . We had just drove through a small residential area going approx. 30 mph. We came to a stop light , while waiting for the light to change there was a loud pop , almost sounded like a fire cracker going off. We instantly turned around to find the rear gate window shatter. At first I thought the vehicle sitting behind me at the light had hit my vehicle, but when I looked he was parked nearly 8 feet away. I talk to the guy and his wife sitting behind me and he said , that it was weird it look as if the window blew out from the inside. The window just explode. Here were the current variables taking place in the car while at stop. 1. The rear defrost was not on 2. The rear side vent windows were both fully open 3. Outside temperature was a comfortable 70 degrees f. Now as for the after math there¿s not really much to tell other than the window shattered(completely gone) and glass all over the place including right next to my sons car seat. The focal point of the break seemed to be located at near dead center. I¿ve just contacted Chrysler about this and I am going tomorrow to see what they say. When I googled this problem I found a handful of town and country from 01 to 13 with this problem. But they tell me on the phone this is not a common thing and will need fca dealer to look at it , which is fine my only concern is they fix the issue, because I can replace a window but this does not solve the underling problem. Had there been people in the 3rd row seating what would have happen to them? this vehicle (minivan) was purchased to be used as our family vehicle and now sadly I am worried to drive with my two year old son in it. Hopefully a resolution can be made.
On September 28th 2015, we took our vehicle into green Chevrolet in east moline, illinois to have the wireless ignition node module on a vehicle replaced for a safety recall. At 8:49 a. M. They had called us to let us know they had done the oil change and to let us know of a few repairs that needed to be done that were not relevant to the recall and also informed me that they were currently working on the recall repair. At 9:34 a. M. They called me back and said they were getting ready to do the recall repair but wanted to let me know of cracks that were in the dashboard that they needed to remove to do part of the repair. They sent me pictures to show that they were identical cracks on the driver and passenger side that went all the way through on the corners plus an additional crack about one-fifth of the way over from the passenger side that went all the way through. They claim these cracks were there prior to the repair but we have never seen these cracks before and claim that it must have been done during the repair. We dust our dash board and would have seen such extensive cracks. They are located where the defrost vents are. Green Chevrolet refuses to replace it and holds to that they were already there. Due to the location of the cracks, there is no way for us to cause it. It appears as if they would have been caus d by someone prying up the dashboard incorrectly.

While driving down the highway, we heard a very loud explosion sound. It was so loud, that at first, we thought that there was an accident behind us. Our rear van window had a whole approximately 12"x14" on the driver's side. Each corner of the window also had large chunks of glass missing. Large cracks were running horizontally through the glass. We had no cars directly around us, did not recently drive under an overpass, and had no object inside of the van that could have caused the glass to explode. This is the second time that we have had this happen to this vehicle. The first time it occurred, the car was parked in a parking lot, and when we approached the van, we saw the glass had shattered and was outside of the van on the ground indicating that no one had broken into the van.
Small plastic piece that connects the sliding door cables to the track cable broke rendering door immovable by remote. There is one hex bolt that attaches this piece to track. This has been replaced previously on both of the doors on this vehicle. This time it's the right side door.

While driving on the interstate I noticed a whine developing. At first I thought it to be a bearing in one of the pulleys. I took it to my mechanic and he said it was a power steering pump or the rack and pinon. I had the power steering flushed and refilled but it continues to have the whine. The mechanic told me it could be the rack and pinon. After reading the blogs online I have found that many are having the same problems. I have a 2006 Chrysler town and country touring with 88000 miles.
I received a recall for frequency operated button ignition key (fobik), recall l125. I have called my dealer numerous time and they keep telling me that the part has been on back order and not created yet for this recall for my make and model. I called Chrysler group recall assistance and they cannot tell me when the part will be available. I have had issues with this car stopping in the middle of the road, especially in rough roads, over rr tracks, etc because the key moves to the accessory mode from the on position. I've dealt with this "stalling" issue with this car for over a year, have even taken it into the dealer and spent "hundreds" on "tuning it up and they keep telling me to bring it in again and let them "look" at it, yet they keep telling me the part is not available. Why is this part not available? I know other family members with other types of cars have had theirs replaced long ago. What recourse do I have!.

I have had issues with this car stopping in the middle of the road, especially in rough terrain, over railroad tracks, etc. Because the key moves to the accessory mode from the on position on its own. I am fearfull to be read ended when this happens. I've had this issue with the car for about a year for what I thought was "stalling" but now realize it is the fobik causing this. Chrysler dealer tells me they get daily calls regarding not having this part available. What recourse do I have to get this recall taken care of?.
I was driving at 35mph, then I slowed down to 20mph to cross over a set of railroad tracks. As I was crossing the tracks, the drivers side sliding door opened, then closed. (the doors are remote control doors. ) this was the very first time that this has ever happened. I was talking to a few people about this situation, to come to find out, that this is not uncommon. I would like to know why Chrysler hasn't done anything about this problem. They need to step up to the plate and fix the problem.

Purchased douglas xtra track ii tires at wal-mart in August 2011. One week to the day later with less than 100 miles on the tires one blew out. Complete failure ripped the middle tread blew apart. My daughter with a learners permit was driving and thankfully at a slow speed of about 40 mph. Returned the car to wal-mart. They did not warranty the tire but did replace it under the road hazard warranty I had purchased. Two of the remining tires had significant creases on the side walls. The mgr. Said that is normal where the tire is put together. All 3 tires were low (1 week after install no off road). They aired them up and replaced the blew tire and I had to pay for the road hazard warranty on the new tire. The tires bounce, they lose air constantly, I air them up weekly. I have asked repeatadly about the wedges in the side walls which are getting worse. I am told it is normal and I may want to purchase new tires for a smoother ride (bounce). They re-balance as often as my road warranty allows and that improves bouncing usally for about 10 days. I have talked to several people who have simular problems with this tire purchased at wal-mart. On your site I see at least 17 complaints about this tire but no investigations. I guess that speaks to who wal-mart has in their pocket. These tires are an accident waiting to happen and I am sure they have caused some. According to wal-mart the seperation of treads are a road hazard so I am sure accidents are chalked up to bad roads, not bad tires. I mean wal-mart says it so no investigations are completed. I am a certified safety professional and certified hazard control manager, so who am I to argue with a wal-mart tire manager?.
Our van started leaking several months ago and then recently it started making a whirring sound that increased with the engine rpm and when the wheels were turned. It also had a smell of something burning. I took the van to the Chrysler dealer we bought it from. They called to tell me that there were two separate leaks, the water pump and the power steering rack and both would need replacement. They also found the stabilizer links and bushings were worn out. Chrysler agreed to pay for parts but not labor. The van has 37k miles and the warranty had run out over the summer.
: the contact stated there was a faulty rear shock absorber tie down bracket on the vehicle. This part is an add on for persons with disabilities. The equipment failure occurred twice. The tie down failed could have caused an accident. The first occurrence was in a parking lot and the second was on a roadway. The defective equipment has been repaired which was to revamp the modification, but the contact expressed concerns that the parts should be remodeled. The recommendation was for the part to be placed on the top or rear side of the axle not on the bottom.
