The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the oil pressure sensor and the oil housing needed to be replaced. The contact was advised by the mechanic that the oil sensor failure was a common failure for his year, make and model. The vehicle had not been repaired.
