At 103,xxx miles, my van's engine seized up on our way to our wedding. I took it to a Chrysler certified mechanic in west branch, iowa, and was told my connecting rods busted apart. The engine had plenty of oil in it and the engine did not overheat. Chrysler released a recall for the 2012 town and country for the exact same issue on my 2011!! this is the same engine, a 3. 6-liner pentastar v6! when I look for replacement engines, I can replace my seized engine with a 2012!! how can Chrysler getaway for releasing a recall on a 2012, but not a 2011 with the same engine!?!.
