The oil pump coolant line and housing needs to be replaced - costing about $1k for parts and labor. The van only has 115k miles and has been well-maintained. I heard from both the auto repair shop and the dealer that this is a known issue among many other vans and that the parts are on backorder for 2 months (about 15k needed). It's not just me having this issue but thousands. A recall should be in effect.

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler town and country. While driving 40 mph, the engine seized. The contact was able to safely drive off the road and pulled into a parking lot. The contact called her spouse and they had the vehicle towed. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to murray Chrysler Jeep Dodge (15160 us-301 s, starke, FL 32091, (904) 964-3200) where it was diagnosed that a transaxle oil pump needed to be installed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 92,000. The VIN was unknown.

Chrysler 2005 town and country--car shaking that car seats would shake, making horrible engine noise, dealership refused to repair, three sets of breaks, oil pump failure, overall sensor failure, no light warnings, given warranty because of all the problems, but refused to repair final engine failure (rod blown), all regular maintenance was maintained by owner--three break downs.
