Front Seat Belt Problems of Dodge Caravan

2002 Dodge Caravan. Consumer writes in regards to air bags malfunction. The consumer stated he was involved in an accident on August 9, 2013. The air bags failed to deploy even after the impact, and there were possible seat belt issues, as well. Because of the failure, his wife was ejected from the passenger side of the vehicle, and died two days later. Had the air bags deployed, she would have remained in the vehicle and had a greater chance of living.

I was in an automobile accident 11/02/06. I was the driver and my father was a passanger. We were rearended and my fathers seat belt didn't catch. My seat belt caught.

While driving vehicle hit an ice patch in the road. The anti lock brakes failed, and vehicle spun around, and went into a ravine. While going down, consumer hit a tree which stopped the vehicle. Driver's seat back reclined, laying the consumer completely down. Somehow she then slid out of the seat belt, and landed in the back seat with the seat belt still engaged. Since the accident consumer's shoulder/neck, and head are in constant pain. Difficulty focusing, an dis unable to drive for long periods of time due to pain.

Consumer stated that when exiting the vehicle it would be hard for the consumer to unlock the driver's side seat belt and consumer will be forced to slide out. Dealer notified. Ts.
