We were stopped waiting for traffic to clear, to turn into the school parking lot to pick up my daughter from school, when a 17 yr old rear ended us. My 1 yr old daughter was in the integrated child restraint and the insurance company say the manufacturer says that the integrity of the seat can not be compromised. It is illegal to resale a child seat that has been in an accident in the state of illinois!!!! therefore how can I ever sell this vehicle?.

The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Caravan. The contact was driving 15 mph while making a u-turn when another vehicle caused her to apply extreme pressure to the brakes. The seat belt connected to the child seat opened and the child fell forward. The child was taken to the hospital with a bloody nose and a cut on the lips. The vehicle has not been to the dealer to have the seat belt inspected. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure when the complaint was filed. The failure mileage was 120,000.

The passenger side integrated child seat belt locked in position with the infant buckled in and the seat belt around the childs neck.
The straps on the intergrated child seat were retracting into the seat while the child was in the seat. Owner pushed the release button on the seat, the seat did not release. Owner had to cut the straps in order to free child from pressure on choking. Child was not injured. The dealer has ordered the replacement part for the seat.
Ea97003, when removing the child from seat the belt locked up and caused the t-shield to tighten around child's neck. The belt had to be cut in order to remove child from seat.

Built in child safety seat belt will not release to get over child's head & get child out of seat. Under investigation #ea-97-003.
When removing child out of the integral child safety seat the belts would not release, but kept tightening up and harness went up under the child's neck, almost choking child. Straps had to be cut with knife to remove child.
Chrysler built-in css, the retractor is built to0 close, causing the child's hair to get caught in the retractor and large amount of hair fell off.
Chrysler integrated child safety seat plastic harness retainer clip is missing.
Built in child seat jams when trying to release belt, had to cut the seat to get the child out.
Failure of the child safety seat, buckle will not unlatch, causing the child to be trapped in the seat.
Could not remove child from integral child seat without cutting the straps. Straps got real tight, couldn't get straps above child's head. Describe details.
Rachet mechanism on the integral child safety seat constantly jams. Cannot pull seat belt out of the mechanism. Problem has been corrected once by dealer, same exact problem occurring again.

Currently, manufacturer wants to replace seats with bench and refund owner for the intergrated child seat. The anchor points on the belts are in the wrong place.
When taking the child out of the integrated built-in css, the retractor mechanism locks up and the release clip becomes very difficult to depress.
