: the contact stated a recall letter # 06v067000 regarding visibility:windshield/wiper:motor was received. The vehicle was taken to the service dealer who determined that the vehicle could not be fixed because the vehicle was not originally purchased from the dealer. The manufacturer was alerted and advised the contact to take the vehicle to another service dealer. However, the contact refused to use a different service dealer.

We were on our way back from tennessee, it was raining very hard, and the windshield wipers just stopped suddenly. I could hear a winning noise coming from them. We had to pull over to the side of a very busy highway and sit there because we could not see at all to drive. We were in a very dangerous situation so I called the jellico tennessee police department and they were on their way to sit with us until the rain stopped and there was a bad wreck in front of us and they all had to go there. Fortunately, we were all ok and the wipers were fixed. There were no warning signs to let us know there was a problem with the wipers before hand.

Consumer had a 2005 Caravan and the windshield wipers were not working properly. The windshield wipers did not work fast enough to keep the windshield clear. The consumer's wife almost hit another vehicle when it was raining and the windshield shield wipers were working so slow that she could not see the vehicle in front of her. The consumer took the vehicle back to the dealer and was told that was the way that the vehicle was manufactured. The consumer stated that the windshield wipers motor is to slow.

The windshield wiper will come on and off intermittently while traveling in inclement weather.

While driving in a heavy a rainstorm, the windshield wipers failed. Dealer notified. The windshield wiper motor was replaced.

- the contact called regarding a 2003 Dodge Caravan. The contact stated that the windshield wipers do not work when it rains. Also, the dashboard lights go out when it rains. There are no warning indicators. The contact stated it varies when the dashboard lights come back on, it could be a couple of minutes or a couple of hours. The dealer has not diagnosed a problem with the vehicle. The consumer stated the problem was resolved on Feb 15, 2007. Updated 02/27/07.

Windshield wipers come on by themselves when turning left or right. Dealer has been contacted.

Windshield wipers turn on and off. Although problem is intermittent, they don't work when needed. If switch is left on and forgot they start working without being aware that they were left on.

Windshield wipers work intermittently while driving in the rain. Consumer feels this could be dangerous.

Vehicle has been having ongoing problem with windshield wipers since vehicle was purchased. Windshield wipers do not work properly in the rain. Windshield wipers would either stop working or change speeds on their own. Also, when thedy are on while wet, and consumer attempts to turn them off, windshield wipers would continue to move, even while the engine is turned off. Vehicle has been taken to the dealership on numerous occasions, and have been replaced. Per technician, no further repairs were going to be made since there were no remedies to the problem.
