In the last four months, my 2009 Dodge Charger has stalled three times without warning. It doesn't sputter, then die. It just shuts down. The first two times, I was driving straight. This last time, 12/08/14, I was turning in a parking lot. I lost my power steering and my power breaks. I hit the concrete base of a light pole hard enough to blow out my front driver-side tire and bent the tie rod. There is quite a bit of damage to the front quarter panel, bumper and broke the headlight. Not to mention, it has given me whiplash. I have not seeked medical attention at this time, but I have had it before, and am quite certain I have it again. I am not certain as to why the airbag did not deploy??? I have read that this is a known issue, but there has not been a recall. I have seen other issues listed on this site regarding this particular car. I have had to replace a tpms on one of my tires as well. I haven't look at all the complaints. But I also have an ongoing issue with my car not starting, numerous times a week. I have taken it to the dealership at least three times, and they cannot ever get it to duplicate. When I turn the key, it just turns over like it is going to start, then shuts down, without a single sputter. Kind of like how it is just shutting down while driving. The dealership replaced the battery in my key thinking that was the issue, nothing has helped. I would like to add my information into the group of individuals who have had problems with this particular car. After today's incident, my husband wants to get rid of it. I love my car, I just don't love the issues I am having with it, especially now that I am hurt. I am just thankful I am did not hit or hurt anyone else, due to this mechanical failure.

My son and I were traveling home in charleston wv. We merged onto the patrick st bridge in the left lane. There was a disabled vehicle in the lane that did not have on it's hazard lights. Due to rain and wet conditions, when I applied the brakes to stop the car hydroplaned and hit dead center in the rear of the 2006 Ford explorer that was disabled. The crashed caused the rear of my car to lift slightly off the ground and moved all front end components from the grill to the radiator etc. . . Into the engine. This shifted the engine backwards, crumpled both fenders, and also the hood. The airbags did not deploy at all for either passenger side for my son or driver side for myself. No one was injured in the crash. The car is being considered a total loss at this time. Everyone I have spoken to are shocked the airbags did not deploy with the amount of damage the impact caused. I have seen that there was a recall on the 2011-2012 Dodge Chargers for airbags but I did not see a recall for my make or model. I will be following up with Dodge also to investigate this problem.

My airbag light came on and stayed on. I referred to the owner's manual, which stated to seek service immediately. I went to the dealership where I purchased my new vehicle. I was told OH there's a recall, we need to make you an appointment. I took my car in on the scheduled day, but the next day I was told that its a wiring issue and the airbags may not deploy. The factory warranty expired so you're responsible is what I was told by the dealership and Chrysler group llc. I disagree since this could potentially be a factory defect. No preliminary investigation since this same issue is known with the 2012 models. What does it take before a recall is issued on these Dodge Chargers. Any information you provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks concerned military service member.

The airbag light censor continues to come on and off. Even though a recall has came out each time I contact the dealership to make an appointment to fix the problem they tell me that they do not have the parts and that Dodge has not came up with a permanant fix for the issue. I think this is outrageous because if an accident occurs the airbags will not deploy which could cause major injury. Why send out a recall if the parts are not even available?.

On a trip to nashville we were on the interstate going 60 mph when it started to rain slightly. Going downhill the rain came down harder and we started to hydroplane. I lost control of the car scraped against the left guard concrete wall. We then spun around multiple times then crashed head long into the right concrete wall. We hit our heads on the windsheild, rearview mirror flew off, banged up our legs and arms. All the while the air bags never deployed.

: the contact stated while in a left hand curve at 23 mph, the passenger side tire separated from the wheel. The tire pressure sensor light did not illuminate to warn the contact of low tire pressure. This caused the vehicle to go off of the road into a trench, bouncing between either sides of the trench. The indicator light that states the passenger side airbag was deactivated was illuminated. The occupants sustained injuries. There was a police report taken at the scene.
