Out of no where my car started stalling on me, took it to a mechanic, cleaned ground wires, changed O2 sensor, cleaned throttle body everything looks and sounds good, but the car stalls, while I'm driving, as well as at a stop, sometimes it completely shuts off and I loose all control including power steering, and sometimes just cuts off for half a second and turns itself back on, iv seen a lot of posts about the gas tank overfilling problem, as well as a ignition switch problem with these cars, I called the dealer but they said they can't address it since my VIN isn't reported for those recalls. My car is unsafe to drive right now and I don't know why but there's reports of manufacturer faults.

My vehicle begins to stall out at low speeds or while idling. While slowing down for a light or just waiting for the traffic light to change. I brought the vehicle to the Chrysler dealership at gwinnette Chrysler stone mountain georgia and the problem was diagnosed to be the fuel tank needing replacement after paying 3000. 00 dollars for repairs that did not resolve the issue. I was then given a final diagnosis that the fuel tank was the issue and it was going to cost 4500. 00 to replace. Today is April 1 and I just picked up my vehicle after it was sitting in the dealership for almost 1 month and still the problem has not been resolved. Please help me. My vehicle is sitting in my driveway with a car cover because I am afraid to drive it in this condition. Lascelle a. Soares 919 natchez valley trace grayson georgia 30017 718 644 6371. Laswarrez@aol. Engine light came on, code was cam positioning sensor, had that replaced, dealer also told us we needed the computer re-flashed. Did that also, car ran good for about two weeks then died on freeway, took it back in they said it is the main computer, ordered that, waited two weeks for it to show up, got it installed, still wouldn't run. They dug in dealer and found that the timing chain guide shattered and the timing chain broke. Reading on line this was common in the 09 - 12 models, why isn't the 13 covered?.
Vehicle stalls when slowing to stop or turn, only after filling the gas tank. The stalling persists, and has left me in dangerous situations, until enough fuel is used. From 3/4 full and lower there is no stalling whatsoever.
Car stalls and steering wheel locks up and oil light comes on. Only happens after I put any gas in the car I do not fill it! I was crossing a intersection and my car died the steering wheel locked up completely and the oil light started flashing. I had to roll to the side of the road!!!!!!!!!.
Slight miss at idle all the time intermittent weak starting odd sometimes problems: 1-cruise control won't come on at all 2-if cruise is on, will not decelerate car on a decline (always above speeds of 55mph intermittent at speeds 55 and below) 3-u connect problems-no bluetooth, passenger door unlock inoperative from outside passenger or driver door at handles(must push button on door panel or on fob)no power at usb or has power but not sensing accessory at usb, no audio from audio port (2013 Charger not on compatible vehicles list for any u connect so why did it get installed?) 4-menu up down ^ buttons on steering wheel don't work 5-burning electrical/rubber smell inside car 5. 5-air handler switching problems defrost/floor/dash (seems like defrost always on) 5. 75-headlights dim/brighten while in use 5. 8-power train probs intermittent(feels like it's towing something behind it as far as power to vehicle from engine) 5. 85-overall shifting probs delayed or lacking in power or hard shifting both from park into gear and automatic shifting through gears most noticeable from park into any gear 5. 9-while in park at idle traction control light comes on 5. 95-engine hesitates causing the vehicle to jerk as if brakes were applied, without warning, not at any specific time (long drive, short drive, reverse, overdrive, hot, cold, whenever) none of the above have ever caused it to throw a code, so have been undetectable by dealership. Except the u connect items which they said should be fixed by updates and werent. (6&7-before thermostat replaced(just now)) 6-heater fan sounds like it's working but isn't and will suddenly come on full speed 7-heat will blow at good temp. Then suddenly be too hot and burn my hands on steering wheel all documentation is in video. Cant upload. Happened since purchased new. All recalls addressed. Mileage now 76850. Thanks.
Car stalls after fill up. Pull into traffic and you lose steering breaks ect. Need to put in park to restart. Will continue and miss and stall for about 5 miles. Once you run some fuel out of the car it runs exceptional until the next fill up.

My 2006 Dodge Charger has developed a stalling issue every time I fill with gas. I have tried different things as far as not filling to the top or not topping it off with gas. I filled with gas along an interstate and when I was trying to get on the interstate it quit on me down the off ramp when I was to merge with traffic. Was able to get car to the side of the interstate and re-start but died again. Started again and then it ran with no issues. Now it has issues every time it is gassed up. I filled up yesterday and same thing died out at a stop sign trying to get on the highway. I have heard this is a big issue with these cars and I'm surprised that there hasn't been anything done to Dodge to fix this issue. I've heard it could cost up to $1,500 to fix. I like the car but it is a safety issue to drive it. Please help! thanks.

Car will shut off going 45 mph, at a stop light (0 mph) or when crossing traffic intersections for examples (at most going 10 or 15 mph). I will attempt to restart and the car will start up, stall up and then shut off again - when this happens, I lose power steering. I have to switch gears from drive to park and then turn the car off and then on again in hopes it will start. As you're driving, you can feel when the car is about to cut off, it throttles ahead a bit and revs, then the car beeps and turns off, while the gear is in drive and turning my wheel does nothing. I notice that this issue would usually happen after a fill up my gas tank, so I started only filling up halfway ,but the issue still persists. This issue became heavily frequent yesterday where the car stalled and cut off at least 4 different times while making a 7 mile drive back home. This was very very scary in my eyes, especially with a passenger in my seat. This is a huge safety concern because the vehicle is shutting off while in motion and powering steering is lost. If this happens on the highway going 60+ miles per hour, or turning into oncoming traffic, there is a guaranteed accident, possibly resulting in serious injury or death. I believe there is an issue with the gas tank and the evap canister that causes the sensors to think that gas is overfilling the engine, which shuts off the car. This was filed under NHTSA pe13-016 (which appears to be closed or inaccessible- https://www-odi. Nhtsa. Dot. Gov/acms/cs/documentlist. Xhtml?docid=pe13016&doctype=inv). This safety concern really needs to be looked into.
So I've been going to dealership getting a oil change spark plugs change etc and also all recalls done at same dealership which I dont have a problem with but I've come to notice there is a problem with this oil filter adapter that seams pretty crazy buy the way manufacture built such faulty piece that is in a highly mantience area that would put many nice cars on side of highway or even stall from running a motor from a faulty piece as a Dodge driver I was hit with this problem thinking I was goinng in for a oil change to have major work done by this faulty part that is on all 3. 6 engine no matter Charger or Jeep or Chrysler 300 so I think it would be highly appreciated for you guys to recall this so I can not be out of 1300 dollars because of this faulty part that at most should have been a 100 dollars out of pocket for full synthetic oil which is all I ride and also only dealerships change Dodge dealer that is so I've read many forums on this I just notice they say we should reach out to you guys to do something about it.
I have had this 2006 Dodge Charger for a while . Now it's been stalling and sometimes shutting off for no reason. Me and my 3 year old grandbaby was at a red light and the light turned green, I started to go car stalled and shut off. No was behind me at the time, so I was trying to get it to start, when I looked up . Saw a truck flying up on us. Thank god no one was beside us or he would of rear ended us. My boyfriend is a mechanic. He has worked for Chrysler for over 32 years. He can't seem to find the cause of it. No codes nothing. He can't talking to half of the bus. We replaced throttle body, tcm, pcm and some other things. Still nothing has helped. I have owned two other Chargers. This one is a night mare. Please do something. I'm getting to the point I'm scared to drive it.
While in motion on a city street, vehicle displayed warning lights and stalled. Was able to pull off into a parking lot where the gear shift was locked in park position. Had vehicle towed to mechanic who advised that the timing chain had locked up. I am aware that there was a customer satisfaction notification sent out by Chrysler, but when I inquired about it at my local dealership they said that my vehicle didn't fall under that notification.
Car stalls without warning at stoplights as well as on the road. If if the car is moving the engine will usually catch and restart but due to the way the transmission operates, there is a period of time before the transmission reengages so the car acts as if it is in neutral which is extremely dangerous and has caused many close calls with conflicting traffic at intersections. A quick search on google will show this is a chronic problem with these cars and there is no known root cause and Dodge has not done anything to investigate the root cause. As a result it has been left to the owner to spend potentially thousands of dollars for parts swapping to troubleshoot the problem but with little success. In most cases the problem is never resolved or simply returns shortly after being "fixed" by the dealer. Note: this is not related to the gas tank issue which has similar symptoms. I have replaced the gas tank in my car hoping it would resolve the problem but it did not.
Stalls and dies after fueling up. Can die right in an intersection or the highway. You lose power steering and power braking.
The contact owns a 2018 Dodge Charger. While driving various speeds on different occasions, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact mentioned that the vehicle needed to be shifted into park and then restarted after several attempts. The vehicle was taken to woody folsom Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram (1859 golden isles w, baxley, GA 31513, (888) 283-8230), but no failure codes were found during the diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000. The VIN was not available.
There needs be a recall for the 2010 Dodge Charger sxt. While driving home on the interstate, just as I'm merging on to my exit, the car shuts completely down while in motion during traffic. I had no idea that it had completely stalled until I tried to give it gas and turn the steering wheel as I was going into to a curve with cars in front of me and behind. Had to figth like hell to turn the wheel and use the brakes to bring the car to a complete stop. I tried to start the engine with no success. It kept turning over making a "ru rur rur rur rur" sound which was accompanied by the smell of wires burning and a red lightning bolt that appeared on the dash. Tried to start again, it became worse. Had to have the car towed to repair shop to see what the issue is. Have not heard anything yet. Called dealership to see if they could shed some light on the subject, they reluctantly declined to do so in every way possible. The dealership I took it said they could not find the problem and suggested that it is not their problem. Dodge needs to do something ASAP. This shit is going to get somebody killed if a recall is not issued. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem. ## VIN passed ## Dodge Charger sxt 2010 ##.
As I exited the freeway my vehicle began to shut down and lose power. I was able to sputter at 10 mph for about a quarter mile to a parking lot. The vehicles electronics were shutting down the whole time and weird electrical activation's started occurring or freezing on their own such as lights, senors, wipers, radio etc. I could also smell a burnt odor emitting from the air vents. When I parked the vehicle it did not start and had smoke coming from the engine. I checked the engine and saw some smoke coming from the alternator and smelled burnt. I took the vehicle to the dealer on 01-22-18 and they diagnosed it as the alternator failing due to the recall but there was no fix yet from Chrysler. They stated the quick fix is replacing the alternator but the vehicle would have to come back until they discover what needs to be fixed on the recall. Today is 01-24-18 and my vehicle is not repaired because the dealer is waiting approval from Chrysler to install a new alternator since there is no exact fix for the recall yet. They told me it may be an electrical computer problem, wiring problem or alternator problem. They told me they may install a new alternator today (01-24-18) and they had to order it. I have been with no vehicle since 01-18-18 due to the dealer and Chrysler not problem solving their mistake. I'm glad I didn't crash or was in the fast lane of the freeway when I lost power but my son was scared because he didn't know what was going on. I cant imagine the consequences if things had not gone the way they did. Someone could seriously get injured at the expense of Chrysler failing to find a fix. Would this fall under the lemon law?.

When I fill up the gas tank of my vehicle, starts properly and runs good for a few minutes then stalls, pull to the side of the road, start again and runs fine for a few more minutes and then it does it again, vehicle is in motion or stationary, it happen also twice when turning and power steering went out almost ran out of the road the first time and the second had to apply brakes hard in order to avoid collision with another vehicle, very un-safe and dangerous. When driven about 40-60 the problem goes away and then starts all over when gas tank is filled up again. I do not have photos, police report or any other documentation to upload and hope not to have any to get this issue resolved.
