Started driving my vehicle from work. When all of a sudden my whole dashboard lite up with the "abs light, power saver mode, and the traction control light. While attempting to pull over the vehicle my radio power off and the vehicle began making a "whining" noise. The engine shut off by itself. I pop the hood and while raising the hood white smoke appeared and I could smell something burning. My sister was present the whole time she was tailgating me in her vehicle. Let the car cool down and tried to restart it and the whining noise grew louder and upon starting it seem as if it did not want to start up but the dashboard was not lite up only the message on the dash about being in "power save mode". This was a scary situation for me and I do not feel comfortable driving my only means of transportation for me and my children. My sister gave me a ride home. I have contact the dealership and have an appointment for them to service the vehicle.
Takata recall. My passenger airbag rattles like there are parts loose inside of it. Chrysler just keep saying that the parts aren't available and that I must understand that it takes a long time to manufacture parts and distribute them everywhere. With all of the rattling inside this airbag device I'm fairly sure if I have an accident my passenger won't survive. In regards to the electrical often when I turn my vehicle off lights on the dashboard radio and climate control panel stay on even if the doors open. This doesn't happen all the time and these are not lights or features that should be on when the vehicle is turned off such as the air conditioner light. The problem began somewhere around the end of 2013 beginning of 2014 there have even been a few times when while driving the vehicle all of the interior lights including the dashboard go out. I've reported it to two different dealers and shown photos to the dealer when reporting the problem, they don't seem to know how to diagnose the problem and or have told me there is no problem.
I own a 2007 Dodge Charger. Biggest piece of junk ever in my drive way. I was excited when the challenger came out, my daughter would get the Charger and momma would get the new challenger. I can say, that wont be happening. In the three years I've had this car, I have had to spend several hundred dollars to have the transmission fixed from leaking fluid. A part I was told that was manufactured incorrectly, but no recall, I had to purchase the fix kit myself. Within 6 months from this happening, the instrument cluster went out. Loosing all electronics in the car. Again, no recall another $600+ out of my pocket. Now just this week the "pink thinky" has messed up. This left me stranded in any empty parking lot at work on a Friday afternoon and my husband an hour away. Thank goodness the mechanic shop I go to could tell me how to override and get me home. Of course I called the Dodge dealership first, but low and behold the service department could not help me. The answer, "I can send a tow truck. I do know there is an override but I'm not sure how it works. " really! three things right there a recall should be issued on! this car should not have the problems it does without someone taking responsibility for correcting it. Mitsibishi has Dodge beat by along shot! 00 galant, was traded in for the Charger with 260k miles on it, never spent 1 dime that was not for routine maintenance, and it still ran, drove and handled like it did the day I bought it. But I just had to have the new Dodge Charger, big mistake on my part! there will never be another Dodge anything in my driveway. I know Dodge does not care, I'm just one out of millions but they should! Dodge can go bankrupt totally, and never manufacture another thing and my work would keep right on revolving!.

I have taken my car to the dealership 5 times to have issues fixed. Each time I got the car back, it was worse. I had 13 issues originally with the car. I ended up suing, and got a very small settlement- Dodge refused to cooperate. I still have each and every problem, and do not know what else to do. My car dies while in reverse, the brakes malfunction constantly, the window panel remains broken due to their inept work, the radio cuts off, the dash lights die @ night, etc. I would truly appreciate it if someone could actually help me. I do not know what else to do. I love my car dearly, but something needs to be done. The date I put as date of incident is when this all started.
