We purchased this vehicle new. Over time it started to surge on mild acceleration in all gears and all speeds. Dealership reset the transmission and engine computers. It was better but still noticeable. Over time though it gets worse. Dealership just does the same thing and resets the engine and transmission. This last time though it was still quite noticeable and has gotten much worse. We contacted the dealership and they plan to just reset them again as there is no other fix. The surging is unsafe especially in parking lots where you might be giving a little throttle and the car isn't really moving so you push harder and then it takes off.

The contact owns a 2017 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the warning "engine oil pressure" displayed. Upon inspection, it was discovered that engine oil had leaked from the engine and while attempting to add oil to the engine the oil immediately leaked out. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the engine oil cooler hose had failed, and the hose needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA campaign number: 17v496000 (engine and engine cooling). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 122,000.

I have a 2017 hellcat Charger, only certain 2017 hellcat Chargers and challengers were recalled for the engine oil cooling hoses failing resulting in a rapid loss of engine oil, my car wasn’t one of the certain vehicles recalled but my car just did the exact same thing other cars were recalled for, but the dealer won’t fix my vehicle because it wasn’t one of the vehicles that were “selected for the recall” at the end of the day I shouldn’t have to come out of pocket to have an issue fixed that was recalled by the manufacturer.
Intermittently the vehicle will jerk as if it looses power when driving, it has also happened when at a stop light and acceleration begins it jerks. It happens more often when at a complete stop and vehicle starts to accelerate. Vehicle was taken to melloy Dodge in los lunas nm and they stated they were unable to find a problem.
I am experiencing the same issue as identified with NHTSA id number: 11525511, June 5, 2023. Dodge has a known issue with the wiring for the fuse for the a/c located in the front pdc. Technical service bulletin number: 08-040-14 rev. A. On or around June 2020, I took my 2012 Dodge Charger to my local dealership during the covid pandemic for an issue with my ac not working. I had the car inspected by numerous mechanics who indicated there was an issue with the fuse for the a/c clutch (#12), they would replace the fuse numerous times, the ac would come on and blow warm air or cool air, but mostly warm. Replacing the fuse numerous of times did not resolve the issue. Neither did replacing all the cooling system and radiator and fan as well. My auto shop had a mechanic who specializes on the computer for cars take a look at my Charger and found technical service bulletins number: 08-040-14 and number: 08-040-14 rev. A which directly describes the issue I am experiencing with my vehicle. The mechanic has even placed a small nail in the cavity next to the fuse to hold it in its place and my ac is blowing fine and cold air until that fuse is moved or touched. This also caused issues with the fuse for the steering wheel on the car which the Dodge dealership addressed when I lost steering power on my vehicle. They did not repair the issue with number: 08-040-14 on my vehicle. I paid the $199. 00 diagnostic fee just for the shop to put a new fuse in (which I repeatedly told them was not the issue at that time) and I am still having the same problem. I would like Chrysler/Dodge to contact armory Dodge and authorize not only a refund for the $199. 00 diagnostic fee I paid to have the issue identified (which they did not) and also authorize the repair needed as instructed on the TSB number: 08-040-14. The dealership has informed me that they do not even have the repair kit needed part no. 68235388aa (wire harness kit) and would need to do a workaround to repair the issue.

I keep having electrical problems with my my radio uconnect and my powertrain. I take great care of my car only let the dealership handle my issues. I've read online that there was a recall for Dodge Chargers powertrain, but I've never been notified.

Engine: timing chain, valve rocker arms and valve lifters. All in sequence once the rocker arms went out with the lifters which is a common problem with Dodge 3. 6l penstar engine it made my timing chain go off timing causing my engine to shut off while driving. Lighting: when vehicle was purchased I noticed condensation in both head lights got 1 replaced per warranty, they would not do both at same time and within 1 month moisture was in replaced headlight again. Dodge would not replace headlights even though the malfunction was not due to any wear and tear of mine. This is extremely unsafe for drivers if both headlights go out due to extreme amounts of condensation/moisture.

Headlights go out when replacing. Fuel smell in cab. Engine ticking front wheels knocking on bumps inspection done by police could cause major wreck all of the above.
On 3/10/2023 my vehicle suddenly starting trembling and shaking profusely! it terrified me severely. I immediately called my mechanic and it was towed in to be repaired. I was told it needed a tune- up. Towing, 3-direct ignition coils replaced, 6-spark plugs replaced and 1- fuel injection plenum gasket set replaced. Four weeks later on 4/16/2023 a warning sign of a backwards meeting parenthesis with a lightening bolt between to the two backwards parenthesis showed up on my warning lamp-electronic throttle control (etc) indicator symbol; causing my vehicle on shake, jump and stall as I was driving on 29s heading toward 70w towards baltimore to get home. I was able to drive to side of the road and my car completely stopped. A the horrific sounds of the traffic wizzed by me and my 12 year old child, I immediately called aaa, as we were in danger and severely terrified. We were finally picked up after 3 long hours!!!!! my car was the towed up the street from my home because the huge tow truck was unable to get directly in front of my door at that late hour. As I called aaa back the next morning to have my car towed to my mechanic shop, I was told I could only get 1 tow/ breakdown. I was totally in disbelieve after all we endured the evening/ night before. After explaining to a supervisor at aaa, she agreed that we had such a horrible experience the night before and adjusted the policy to accommodate my vehicle to be towed to my mechanic for repairs. This time, my fuel pump needed to be replaced and it has been. My vehicle still feels hesitate in its acceleration and as of today my engine light is on on my warning panel. I have been contacted by a nhts recall team agent and have been scheduled for an appt.

The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Charger. The contact stated while driving 65 mph, the vehicle lost motive power with the check engine, traction control, and an unknown warning light illuminated. The contact restarted the vehicle and drove to his residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the dealer informed the contact that he had to pay out of pocket for the diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 270,917.
Got rear ended day later hears a winding noise and engine light came on then battery light came on. When driving next day all lights on dash board came on and car died. Thought was battery changed it then restarted car. Next day bring to get diagnosed and said altnator was testing bad so had that replaced but battery light stayed on. Took to collision center Dodge and they said pcm was bad so had that replaced. The mechanic stated common problem when altnator dies it burns up the pm module. So I had to wait 2 months for it to get replaced and now changed still the check engine lights and battery light is on.
Car stalled after refueling, restarted pulled out stalled again a minute later. No warning lamps. Able to drive 15 miles home, parked it. Investigation # pe13-016.
The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 mph, the engine seized. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who replaced the engine. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000.
Oct, 2022 my car did not shift out of park so I googled my car and the problem, so it said it was my monostable shifter modular. I towed it to a transmission mechanic and they did a full body diagnostic test and I was told all I needed was to buy a new transmission shifter modular and a pcm to get my car running again. I did not have the $ 4,200 for them to fix my car so I had it towed back home. Now as of today my car is not running still because of the transmission shifter modular and pcm I bought brand new installed myself and for some odd reason the electrical started flickering as if maybe the wiring is wrong or something. Now there was already a recall on the following repairs I've done and yet its documented in the recall system that all recalls were repaired by manufacture in 2017 alternator diode thermal fatigue, April 2016 transmission electronic shift lever, Jan 2016 wheel chocks, July 2015 reprogram occupant restraint control module, Dec 2019 reprogram powertrain control module, oct 2012 emissions recall m30 position valve/internal temp diagnostics. So either the recalls weren't repaired as documented or it is a factory defect and my car needs the repairs done again at no charge. When I call to the dealers the management was a female and told me me my car was to old and they longer work on my car I've been told that several times. I also have all receipts for repairs and you will see that its the same issue as the recall that was apparently repaired.
No-start after 10 yrs of driving service the engine light comes on from no-start.
Car will stall and not start after filling with gas. After awhile car will run but shut off randomly. This can happen while driving. Car has been stuck at intersections and will stall even doing highway speeds. All lights will appear on dash engine car will lose all power. Small ding before it dies.
I have called the dealerships in fresno CA and clovis CA asked them to check out my car because of all the recalls that were done by them I'm having problems with it or had to replace it again. I also told them since it was a recall and they supposedly repaired it I wanted them to check into it to see if the wrong was done because anyone could falsify a document I was turned away from both dealerships. I have receipts for parts I have replaced that were recalled, as diagnostics tests. This has been going on since 2022 one after another and then affects other parts I even asked them to do a software update for the electronic monostable gear they said no.
The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while accelerated at approximately 50 mph she heard a clicking noise in the engine. The engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed but the contact was uncertain. The dealer nor the manufacture was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 127,000.
After filling up the car with fuel (93 octane) the car stalls after a couple of minutes. This has caused unsafe situations as the car has stalled in the middle of intersections and on the road. This has happened consistently after filling up. The car does not start immediately after stalling. After a couple of minutes post stall, I am able to restart the car. At times, the car studders while moving. This all happens after topping off with fuel. The vehicle has approximately 106,000 miles.
Having lifter failure on 2012 Dodge Charger srt8 6. 4 mds hemi loud ticking noise coming from passenger side head, can be heard in the engine bay but even more so from passenger side wheel well. Complete loss of power or bucking with any real kind of acceleration. No misfires also still idles smooth. Threw back pressure sensor code p0471. Was told by Dodge it was warped exhaust manifold. Had full exhaust system replaced including all sensors just to be safe (3g$). Got car back still ticking but even louder now. Took car to non dealership and the mechanic said immediately that’s lifter noise. Vvt was pulled and checked for metal (it was present). Was told it’s suggested to replace entire motor and with absolutely no help from Dodge. The shop that found the lifter issue said he’s had multiple 5. 7 and 6. 4 hemis all in the shop all with the same problem and Dodge will do nothing to fix it and I was also told don’t just throw parts at it cause it will just keep failing and costing money it needs to be replaced completely with better parts to avoid continued problems. It will cost nothing short of 10g$ to do this repair and losing my only means of transportation for however long not to mention it putting my life and others at risk when the car decides to just cut power or turn off completely. I’ve already limited my driving due to this problem and worries of complete engine failure and now I won’t even let my family ride in the vehicle for fear of it shutting down especially at highway speeds. Dodge needs to address this problem ASAP!!.
The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Charger. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a ticking sound coming from engine. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced bucking, surging, hesitation, loss of power and an engine misfire. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the failure was due to premature wear of internal components within the engine, and that the rocker arms, lifters, and camshaft were faulty. The contact was informed that the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The engine was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 125,000.

Oil filter housing failed at 70,000 miles. The issue caused leaking oil to contaminate the environment and burn on the auto components that caused smoke and unsafe driving conditions. The oil filter housing failed and due to oil loss the check engine light came on. My repair mechanic said that this is a common issue and there is a limited stock of replacement parts due to the issue. Online research shows that Dodge stopped manufacturing of this part and only after market replacements are available.

A licensed mechanic did a diagnostic test and the code p1db7 came up. The reason for calling the mechanic was after driving my car the next day it didn't want to start, there was recalls already repaired apparently yet the code states that it's a faulty torque converter clutch (tcc) faulty transmission control module (tcm). There's still an electrical problem tpms is still not reading the computer system correctly is just not right therefore it's not reading anything correctly. The original control arms w/ball jt including the steering column is all bad and will cause a wreck or someone killed caused of the instability.
