2 Engine Oil Leaking problem of the 2014 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 04/11/2021

I notice oil dripping from under the car on Sunday. Took it to the dealer on Monday morning and was told it was the engine oil cooler and filter housing adapter. I was told it is very common on the 2014 Dodge Charger and they have been back ordered but I was lucky because they just got a shipment in Saturday. I was told it has been leaking for a while before I noticed it dripping from under the car. If this is happening to a lot of these cars why is it not recalled? I had to pay $900 to fix something that should have never broke if it was made out of the right material and not plastic.

3 Engine Oil Leaking problem of the 2014 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 02/24/2021

Recently my car was found to have an oil leak. It appears to be coming from the housing/cooling unit for my car. From doing research it is found that this seems to be a common problem with all 2014 Dodge vehicles. This is causing oil to pool in the bottom of the engine. This if the oil is not checked regularly can cause a massive malfunction of the engine or even a vehicle fire.

4 Engine Oil Leaking problem of the 2016 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 03/26/2020

I purchased 2016 Dodge Charger one month ago from California auto direct in montclair. While signing the paperwork, we questioned a $1,000 dealer charge which they explained was for a thorough inspection before putting their car on the lot to sell (all lies). Since I purchased the car on 3/7/20, the car has stalled on me while driving 3 times. I took the car to a "Dodge" dealer and they fixed a recall, oil leak and replaced a missing caliper, old battery. After completing all the repairs, the car stalled on me again. Each time the steering and brakes locked up. The dealership found no codes as to why the car just stops while driving. This car is a safety hazard. I contacted Dodge. Com online chat and they told me to let the dealer try and work on it and use their resources. Unfortunately, they can't find anything. I read about recalls on other Dodge Chargers and challengers that had similar problems, unfortunately not m year. . . 2016.

12 Engine Oil Leaking problem of the 2009 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 08/28/2011

I purchased a 2009 Dodge Charger in 4/11. I just performed the first oil change for me on 8/28/11. I noticed while removing the oil plug, that it was very tight and hard to loosen. After removing the plug and oil, I installed the plug back into the oil pan and it would not tighten all the way. I realized there was a lot of aluminum debris on the seal of the plug which would be from when someone cross threads and strips the threads of the oil drain plug hole. The last entity to do an oil change on this vehicle was the dealer I purchased this car from. When confronted about this, the service manager at the dealer told me it was "common" for these drain plugs to strip out after a few oil changes. This is unacceptable as I should not be already having to replace the oil pan on a vehicle with 52000 miles on it and a clear violation of safety for the environment. Weakly built oil pans can be easily stripped and end of leaking oil out onto the ground which is unacceptable and hazardous to the environment.
