Car malfunctioned twice at high rate of speeds within days of each other. Extremely dangerous driving conditions. Car currently being towed again but not fixed. Received recall notice approximately 15 hours after car fixed first time, indicating the recall was a known problem because of timeframe. Not apparent from repair information that recall part was checked even though the same system was affected. -7/3 - 8:30pm driving at a high rate of speed on highway. Malfunction indicator and esc malfunction indicators came on, along with alarms. Pulled off highway when safe. Car shook violently. Towed to dealership. -7/5 - ~4:00pm - car fixed. Indicated "abs module dtcs c0037-62. C003a-62 and c121c-00. Found engine wrre harness connector c102 loose. Reinstalled connector c102. Cleared all codes. Performed extended road test. Verify okay. " -7/6 ~12pm - recived recall notice in mail. Safety recall m10/NHTSA 12v-197 abs/esc wiring. Same malfunction indicators came on with alarms. No place to pull off without causing a wreck. Slowed driving and put on hazards. Awaiting tow truck. Dealer alerted. I'm terrified of driving this car that has under 900 miles. Twice the incidents occurred in heavy highway traffic at high rates of speed.

38 Wiring problem of the 2011 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 06/30/2012

Upon starting the vehicle during daylight hours, the auto light control was on for the vehicles low beam headlight use. As time went on, and a few stops were made, a plastic aroma was noticed several times during frequent stopping between traffic lights. The vehicle's evic messaging system was checked for any overheating issues due to the high temperatures of the day. Nothing was out of the ordinary. Several oncoming vehicles were flashing their headlights towards our way in order to warn us of an issue with our headlights, which we could not see from inside the vehicle at the time. And it wasn't dark enough to see this issue occurring. We pulled the vehicle over to inspect, only to find our driver side low beam headlight flickering and strobing. I was able to purchase yet another headlight low beam from the local walmart store, that was spec'd as an oem replacement from sylvania. This was the 2nd time the light has been replaced, but first for me to do so. I tried to replace the bulb, only to discover that the low beam connector was melted on that side of the car, which was encased by it's own protective housing. Upon cleaning up the connection the best I could, we got the light to work. The next few miles were ok, but then noticed the smell again. The occurance is now happening every day, and we try to catch it before the connector melts. The car must stay at home until the dealer can look at this and solve the issue. The issue occurred after a recall on the power distribution center was completed a few weeks ago, recall m10 was completed, and now several electrical issues have followed. To now end, this vehicle has had over 26 issues in a span of 16 months now. And we've deemed it unfit for driving safety, to include, brake, abs, strut, sway bushings, rotor, starting, power drains, etc. This list is longer than mentioned above. Wiring is extremely hot around there.

39 Wiring problem of the 2011 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 03/26/2012

The low beam headlamps had a shortage in the wiring harness. The dealership replaced the passenger side and three months later the driver side started shorting out with the same issue. A friend of mine had the same exact issue in a brand new 2011 Charger and replaced both lamps in a similar fashion. I was told by the dealership that this issue was a problem for a few more customers. It is a recall for a police Charger, but not a regular Charger.

41 Wiring problem of the 2008 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 03/01/2011

I own a 2008 Dodge Charger, I recently started having problems when the ds power seats stopped working followed by the automatic locks. Took it to Dodge country in killeen, TX where I was told by the service man that the wires had melted together near the fuse box in truck and that it was a fire hazard. He could not tell me where the problem originated, but informed me to call my insurance CO. And file a claim with them. He said and ii ouote "tell them you spilled something in the truck, get your husband to agree on it, and they since they insure stupidity they will likely cover this, let me know what you decide so we can all have the same story & I will tell them what you want!". That night I went to the Dodge dealership to pick up my car Charger out of my car and what do you know both seats are working as well as my locks! I did call my insurance CO. As well as filed a complaint with chystler and informed both parties what the service guy told me to do. When both denied my claim I called Dodge country and informed them I would be picking up my car. When I got my receipt with diagnostic report it stated the "fuse in pdc melted and needed to be replaced" not wiring harness like I was told originally. Got in my car and seat was moved all the way up to steering wheel and not working again!!! these people do bad business! they fixed it and when I refused to pay the $4500 they wanted to replace the wiring harness the unfixed it! makes me believe that it wasn't the wires in the first place. They also bent the fuses in pdc from pulling them out with pliers! Dodge has yet to return a phone call! car still inop!!.
