Nyle maxwell Dodge supercenter in austin texas was paid to fix my sensor light for the antilock brake system which comes on continuously and stays on 100 percent of the time. I was told that they needed to replace a sensor which would cost just over $1100, and was required to sign off on a form so they could begin the work. After they had my Dodge Durango a couple of days, February 27, 2013, I got a phone call from service to say they could not completely fix the problem and that the light still comes on "intermittently". Their explanation was confusing. So I believe that I understand from this, if the warning light is on that the abs brake will not be working at all. After this, I was given an option of paying another $350 for a separate part, perhaps "module" and the service man felt it would be the solution. I collected my car without nyle maxwell Dodge supercenter having fixed this $1100 issue. But I paid their bill. (I need to take it somewhere for a second unbiased opinion. ) as a customer/consumer of their service agreement, I should have the right to expect them to fix it from here on out to completion at the expense of nyle maxwell Dodge supercenter; or refund me.

The car begins to sputter and stall at constant speeds, then stalls while running which disables the power steering and brakes. This situation is profoundly dangerous as it renders the car nearly unable to stop. The only way you can stop is if you can get the car into neutral, coast off the road and quickly restart the engine. The engine light does come on during. I have gotten this issue repaired four times and it continues to occur and the sensors that correspond to the code have been replaced twice each and are in full working order. Dodge is aware of the issue but will not do anything.

I have had the cam position sensor fail approx. 5 times. When the sensor fails or starts to fail the check engine light will come on intermittently and occasionally while the light is on the engine will shut off when the engine shuts off the brakes will not work. The said situation when the brakes will not work has occurred 7 times. At times the check engine light will light up and be not lit when the truck is restarted. On one occasion my wife was driving the truck, the light came on for the cam sensor, the engine shut off, the brakes would not work and she rolled through an intersection unable to stop the vehicle.

We have had a litany of problems with the abs system, the last one being in October 2008. The mechanic replaced a sensor and it was fine until 1/8/2009. While driving the car the abs motor switched on and wouldn't turn off, even with the engine off. Dobbs auto had to disconnect the unit and tried to order the new module, but it backordered until January 30,2009. I now have to drive the car without any abs brakes and it will cost over $900 to replace module. Since it is backordered the mechanic believes that is an indication of a defect with module and thus I think it should be replaces by Dodge, no cost to me. When I notified Dodge they told me one of their mechanics would have to look at it.

Engine check guage light came on. Checked gauges no change. Within 5 minutes, clicking started. Pulled off road, car shut off. Aaa towed to nearest Dodge dealer. Fixed. (?) shut off same way after fix. Went back to dealer, stated different problem, abs sensor added additional charges. Went to 2nd Dodge dealer fix sensor for several hundred dollars less. Shut off again 2nd dealer refused to work behind original dealers work. Had aaa tow to auto clinic, clinic stated that parts originally stated by 1st dealer as good were infact damaged. (head gaskets, bad pistons and valves. Help!.
Intermittently when applying brakes the pedal starts to stop normally. Brakes begin to grind, resulting in extended stoppingdistance. Dealer has inspected vehicle, and determined that abs sensor is bad. The part has been on back order.
