The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 65 mph, with the a/c activated, there was an abnormally loud sound like a gunshot coming from the vehicle. The driver pulled over to the side of the road and inspected the vehicle and became aware that the sun roof glass had exploded on top of the sun roof shade cover. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, and it was determined that the sun roof glass needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 27,500.

The contact stated while the vehicle was at the car wash, she noticed that water was leaking from the corners of the sunroof onto the headliner and the front driver's side and front passenger's side door panels.
