Driving at 55mph on a main city rd vehicle started to hesitate then shut off with no warning. Vehicle acted like it was out of fuel . I was able to cost vehicle to the shoulder vehicle would not start back up. It would continuously turn over when trying to crank but would not start I bought a tester to test the vehicles fuel pump as well as the fuss and relays. I have also paid a shop to diagnose the issue and results were a failed tipm and failed fuel pmp relays which are built in. Due to high costs of the tipm and back order we had to tow the vehicle to were it currently sits until a solution can be made.

Went shopping on may25,2018 came out of store vehicle would not start called tow truck jumped started vehicle I took it to tire plus told me I needed a battery. Called and made appointment with Chrysler on June 18th,2018 went to keep appointment vehicle would not start. Called tow truck, jump started vehicle took it to crystal Chrysler Dodge. Vehicle diagnoses tip-n was bad. Chrysler had vehicle from June 18 to June 25, 2018 a rental car was excepted on June 22.

February 2,2018 Dodge Grand Caravan turned off and parked in drive way my daughter comes in and said the van sounds like it's still running went out and heard what she heard also check on this three times before going to bed( this noise came from the gas tank). The next day 02/03/2018 noise was not there anymore. I had schedule recall work to be perform on 02/05/2018 but re-schedule with service advisor for 02/06/2018 car would not start key stuck in ignition switch. Tow truck picked up 02/07/2018 took to dealership explain what happen I was told by the service advisor to expect a call on Friday 02/09/2018 call came dead battery(new battery 01/24/2018) and the tipm kit was needed. Vehicle would not start, took to garage they said fuel pump, still would not work, took back they said tipm, had it changed, got van back now the signal lights don't work took back they test it and guess what tipm again, so now after nearly 3000 in repairs and 800 in rentals I am waiting another week for another tipm not impressed at all. After researching this issue it is far to common and should be made a full recall, I know of four failures in the last week in my little area alone. Something needs to be done, this problem can affect any component of the vehicle from brakes to air bags to anything that is run by a fuse which is pretty much everything, someone is going to be seriously injured because of this if there hasn't been already.

Tipm had to be replaced due to electrical instability with the fuel system. Same tipm that was involved in the 2014 recall for the Dodge durango and Jeep grand cherokee. Vehicle would not start or would not stay running. No power to the fuel pump. New tipm was redesigned and had to have 5 pages of instructions to rewire the new tipm to fit in to vehicle.

Totally integrated power module (tipm) failed. Engine would not start while car was stationary. Fuel pump relay within the tipm was malfunctioning, preventing power from getting to the fuel pump, therefore preventing proper operation of the fuel pump. I understand this problem can also manifest itself as either loss of power while driving, or a continual running of the fuel pump, even when vehicle is off (thereby draining the battery).
