Car will not start (nothing happening when turning key). Have to wait or play with accessories (not sure if it helps) but then car will start? also had problems with ventilation system -> air would be warm on passenger side even if it is on cold and vice-versa. It seems to go away after a few days. Can also hear ventilation traps moving sometime even if car is turned off and not running.

We have had our 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan for 2 years and approximately 30,000 miles. We had to have the tipm replaced in July 2015. We have had several instances that required a tow as the vehicle would not start or stay running. The tipm burned the fuel pump out and that was the last straw. The tipm was replaced under the after market warranty that we paid for but what other damage could this part have caused to our vehicle? it controls everything the car does for the most part. Will there be an investigation of the Dodge tipm? there needs to be a recall for all vehicles affected which seems to be quite a lot.

Battery warning light came on dash and car hesitated while driving down the street. After about a minute car abs light and all lights on dash came on and car died in middle of street. Car would not restart had to get a jump from another car and it started and was driven home and parked every since. This really scared my wife because she could have easily been hit by a car in her rear.

Vehicle was shutdown. When returned the engine would not start. After trying several options it failed to start. Waited about 5 min. And it started. Evidently the computer reset itself and cleared the problem.
My 5 children and I got into the van to head to my disabled child's doctors appointment. We had just pulled out and began accelerating when the car shut off. The wheel locked, as did the brakes. It seemed as though all electrical to the van was lost. Nothing worked. We were stuck in the middle of the road. When I tried to restart the vehicle nothing happened. The dash indicators did not come on, the power locks and windows would not work. It was dead. After the children and I were almost rear-ended by a ups truck, I removed my children from the vehicle and brought them to the side of the road and told them to walk home (fortunately we weren't far). At that point I returned to attempt to get it to restart. After about 15 minutes of blocking traffic and 2 near collisions, the van came back to life. I brought it back to my home and parked it. This issue began when, about 3 weeks ago, my vehicle wouldn't start. I then discovered if I took the key out then put it back in it would eventually start. I had called the local Dodge dealership and was told it was my win module. I called Dodge and was informed that there was no eta on a replacement part but I can pay out of pocket to have it fixed and would be reimbursed. After calling the dealership again I was informed that they didn't have the means to fix it. This is absolutely ridiculous! the vehicle I purchased to keep my children safe put their lives in danger. It's the only vehicle I have that will fit all 5 of my children. Now my daughter, who is disabled, cannot see her doctor today, and only lord know when we'll have access to a vehicle for the already scheduled future appointment. I refuse to put my children back into a vehicle that could kill them!.

Van would not start diffucult to start van would crank, happened to many times we have had several instance that required and tow as the vehicle would not start. I'm just research to internet the problem I'm just read similar complain and problem ,regards the van same my situation the tipm module defect . , I went to local mechanic just take a look the problem the mechanic said battery need to changes the key fod need the change and reset commputer,I'm spent around $800,00 dollar for everything and couples and months smell thing happened the van not start diffucult to start,I call a local dealership , I speak to service assosiates I told that if any recall tipm module but the guy said none , I'm afraid to drive the van stranded againt anytime just park to my parking lot couple week I don't have money to fix around$1200,00 the worst thing I'm still monthly payments to my van for nothing.
On thanksgiving morning 2014, me and my family went out to go to visit family for thanksgiving dinner, but the vehicle would not start. It would crank and crank, but never come close to turning over. The gas tank was full, the battery was fine, but clearly it wasn't getting gas. We obviously couldn't go anywhere. After using our other vehicle, we managed to make it to dinner (though obviously late). The next day, I had the car towed in, and several days later when the dealership finally had the time to analyze what was wrong, I was notified of the tipm problem. So far, it's been nearly a week and there is still no further news on when we can get it fixed. I've been told there are only 300 tipm's in the country and that they are unsure when they can get the part. Thus far, I've been told that it would be covered by my extended warranty, and that the part is "approximately" $700 and labor would be "about" $200, so I don't yet know what it'll cost. I do know that it will cost me $50 for the warranty deductible. While that is not a large amount, the more troubling issue is that I'm now paying for the loan and insurance on a vehicle that I cannot use for reasons that were entirely out of my control and for a period of time that is unknown.
Vehicle will not start and will stop while driving. Three different batteries have been drained to the point of going bad. Dodge service center has identified the problem as a faulty tipm (totally integrated power module).
