The headlights started going off while driving. First the fog lights started flashing on and off on their own and when I would pull on the headlight switch out to engage the fog lights, the headlights would turn off. I saw on line that many other people are having this problem with their Grand Caravans.

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that the headlights failed to work. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 14v373000 (electrical system); however, the part needed to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 232,812.

One night I was driving with my 4 young children in the van on a back road to go home. All of a sudden all of my dash lights came on, my radio shut off and my headlights went out. That last about 25 secs. Then my van stalled. I was scared to have them in the van with me on a back road with no headlights first then a stalled van. I was able to pull off to the side, waited 10 mins and started it back up again. The next day I had the van running in park it stalled. I started it back up ok, until I put it in reverse. It stalled again after all the dash lights came on then back off. I started back up and it seemed ok. I stopped at a red lights, same thing happened. It stalled after all dash lights went on and off and radio shut down. I have had this van since 3/23/14 and it started 6/25/14. I called the dealer ship and explained the problem to them. They said that since it was 3 days passed the warranty it will be my responsibility. I was like really. I don't know what to do know. I just got the vehicle 93 days ago so only made 3 payments and now have to probably do expensive work on it. The Dodge dealer was not helpful and rude about it. So now I have this vehicle I still have to pay on for 6 years and after only 3 months of owning I have major issues and a ver big safety issue because I have kids in the van.

I was driving down the road around dusk, when the headlights suddenly turned off. All parking lights, interior lights and radio worked. However, I had no low beam or high beam headlights. This issue keeps recurring every month or two for the last 1. 5yrs and nobody seems to know the cause. When taken to be looked at the headlights seem to work fine and the problem can't be duplicated at that time. I have noticed if the tipm is jiggled and the van is restarted, they will work fine again for about 1hr or so. Very frustrating and extremely dangerous for my family and other people on the road.

Vehicle headlights intermittently turn off even though the headlight switch is in the on position. Headlights are able to be turned back on by cycling the switch off and on multiple times. Sometimes headlights flicker on and off intermittently even though the headlight switch remains in the on position. This has been a problem according to a previous investigation by your organization. The investigation number ea11010. Your findings showed this problem occurring with this particular make model and year of vehicle. It also indicated that Chrysler corporation was going to initiate a lifetime warranty on the headlight switch assembly for this particular vehicle. It indicated that this was going to start sometime in early 2013. I contacted Chrysler corporation service and they indicate that there is no warranty or known problem on that particular headlight switch assembly. When I referred them to your site and the particular investigation and conclusion in regards to this issue they indicated that this was not a known problem and just because it was on the internet does not mean that is true. The identified issue and problem with the headlight switch assembly will not be taken care of under warranty according to Chrysler corporation. This seems to be in direct conflict with what Chrysler corporation told your organization that they were going to do which was to place this part under a lifetime warranty beginning sometime early 2013.

2006 Dodge Grand Caravan se 72900 mi. Turn stalk inoperative signalling left hand turn though 4 way flasher works; so it is not the flasher. Right turn phase works. Intermittent failure. Will report to Chrysler 18009921997. Dealer refused to fix, not recalled. This is the second dgc with a turn stalk failure I have owned, other was 1999 dgc. Chry. Does know about the headlight switch failure and replaced free.

When driving on the freeway at night the headlights suddenly shut off they would not come back on, neither the headlights or the high beams would work, I put the hazard lights on and got off the road, after that the headlights blinked when turned on and then would not come on at all, after that they came on and then shut back off again while driving on city streets, the headlights turn off while driving or do not turn on at all.
