No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle had been diagnosed by an independent mechanic. The contact was informed that the failure was due to a faulty wiper transmission linkage, a relay and switch. The relay and switch was replaced however, the wiper transmission linkage was not repaired due to parts not being available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and determined that parts were not available. The failure mileage was approximately 110. 000.

I went to the store and put my purchases in the trunk of the Grand Caravan. I pushed the button to close the rear door and turned to put my cart away. I then heard breaking glass and saw the glass in the rear door busting out. The door then lifted and came down again, this time busting more glass and ripping off the top panel that has the third brake light on it. When it was over, the back panel was hanging by the brake wiring. It looks like one of the pistons that hold the rear liftgate open detached from the inside of the car and hung there, busting the back out. I have had to tape plastic over the window and have been given a warning for a missing brake light. I can't have my vehicle inspected until this is fixed and I can't afford to get it fixed. This seems to be a design flaw. Can I get some assistance in having this repaired?.

When I’m driving my blinkers and windshield wipers turn on and off randomly and the stereo shuts off ac quits working and the windows lock and can’t be rolled down and when I’m at idle it has very loud ticking noise coming from dash board I think it’s the middle area behind stereo this happens multiple times a day and some days it doesn’t stop till vehicle is turned off and I’ve also noticed that hitting bump in road seem to make the issues worse all of the above mentioned happens together at same time.

It started out as the van would not start almost everytime I got ready to leave and would have someone jump my battery, and it would start right back up. After a few weeks of having to do this, I had help jumping my battery once again but this time my wind shield wipers wouldnt shut off resulting in me having to take the fuse out and back in when it rains. When this happened the what I believe is called the "multi functional shift " (the stick on the left side of steering wheel that controls my wipers, wiper fluid, turn signals, bright lights, etc. ) completely stopped working with no sign of it having problems previously. Along with that the stereo keeps flickering and switching channels on its own. Lastly, when I am pumping gas, I can barely pull up the trigger without the pump shutting off like as if my tank was full. This has all happened in the last 6 or 7 months or so and has not yet been investigated.

About 11/30 I went to start the car in the morning. , the front windshield wipers were on when I turned the key, and would not change speed or turn off as much as I tried the back and they would not turn on. The radio/ clock did work but no lighted information and same with the speedometer, the gas tank, temperature warning and tachometer lighting. The car started, and restarted several time well enough but the dashboard lights and the wipers did not change. I tried turning the key on and off without starting the car a number of times with different number of tries before restarting as a possible resetting with no change. Eventhough it had no working speedomater I drove the car first around the block several times and then to my local mechanec. I talked to him he did not have the correct equipment for testing required to find the problem. He suggested I go to the dealer and 1) see if they had any recall or unpublished issued repair notices etc 2) get an estimate of the possible costs and times for repair. I thanked him and was in my car again within 15 minutes and the total problems went away, front wipers off and all the dashboard lights worked. The car worked for 4 more trips over the next few days. On Dec 3rd 2020, I started the car just fine went on the express way for the first time for a about 35 minutes trip. About 8 minutes into the expressway drive the dashboard lights went out and the wiper went on for about 1. 5 minutes, but before I could exit the expressway they went back on and I could turn off the wipers, a few minutes they went out again and just as suddenly in 2 minutes they were working again. There was a third time before my exit that lasted only about 1 minute. When I got off at the usual exit I parked & tried to see the problem again for nearly 20 minutes with no luck, I continued the trip and it was uneventful as drive back & since no problem.

Went to open back right window it made a loud shatter sound, freaked me out . . Luckily I was not driving. I was parked in my driveway. Dodge fcc did pay for Dodge company to look at issue and give their view. I paid juneau glass to fix it for 384. 00 have not been reimbursed for that yet.
Driving van in town 35 mph wipers came on by themselves and stayed on switch in the off position information panel goes out along with speedometer, tach, and gages van runs like normal. Changed tipm no correction failure happened at 156000 thousand miles.
The drivers side window won't go up!! the van was in motion on a street. I don't feel safe in south florida with my window down.

I bought my 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan in 2019 with 20,000 miles on it. Shortly after I had problems with the key not doing the automatic start. Then the wipers no longer sprayed fluid, then I noticed the van used some radiator fluid when we went drivingg any distance. Then the door locks stopped working. Then the passenger slide door stopped shutting and locking or would close on the kids getting in the van. Now when I took it to the Dodge dealership about a month th ago to fix the front seat trim that fell off, they said I had a leaky transmission hose. They fixed it a d charged for the flush and hose. One month later I'm getting an error code for the tranny. Had it flushed and paid again. They said they don't know maybe I need a new transmission. I ha e always done the up keep on this van oil changes and such. I looked up recalls a d everything happening to my van happened to the 2016 models. They were recalled for the same transmission problems. It only has 90000 miles. Now the dealership wa ts me to buy a transmission. Please help.
Vehicle wipers, wiper fluid, and horn operate separately and independently from human operator input with no response to operators attempts to disengage their operations. Incidents happen intermittently at rest or in motion, situations are not able to be anticipated.

I bought my 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan crew in Feb 2018. In March my tire sensors starting going off, we replaced all of them with no luck, the gauges would still read they were out. In April, the camshaft sensor went out while we were on vacation, and we replaced it, in florida. In may the camshaft sensor went out again, shortly after having it replaced for the second time, but guess what? it happened a 3rd time! only a week later!!!! so yet again, it was replaced. Our van would start acting possessed. Wipers would go off while driving down the road & while they were in the off position. The locks would lock and unlock by themselves while driving, seemed like every time it rained out windows would roll down by themselves over night or while we were in a store while the van was shut off. In June the van started stalling while we would drive it. It would randomly die while idling. In July/Aug I had my oil changed, the following day my van wouldn't start. While in the moment I thought the shop had done something to it, since I had gotten frustrated with them there, (poor fellas) that clearly was not the case. I was under the impression my fuel pump had went out, so I paid to have that replaced. Around sept the van wouldn't start. It would crank but not start. My fuel pump would turn on, after turning the key on and off several times. In oct the fuel pump would run while the van was off, we had to disconnect the positive on the battery so it wouldn't burn up. At this point, my van wouldn't start at all, and the van acted like it was dead. I went and bought a new battery, day after I replaced that, my van needed to be jumped each time I wanted to start it. Today on oct 22- is my last straw. Thanks fca, a mother and her two young children had to find a ride home because it stalled and shut down while sitting in a drive thru.
When the key fob is placed in the ignition and turned to accessory no gauges work and the windshield wipers come on and will not shut off. The vehicle will start but the tach, speedometer, gas gauge and temperature gauge does not work. The windshield wipers continue turn run even though the switch is in the off position.
My hood flew open while driving on the highway, and I checked the NHTSA site and see there was a recall for the hood latches, but apparently not for.
Tl- the contact owns a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while driving at 55 mph, the windshield wipers start to function independently and all the warning lights start to flicker. The contact coasted over to the side of the road and powered off the engine. The vehicle was restarted the contact was able to drive normal. The failure recurred. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for a diagnostic testing of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 175,000. Aw.
Major problems with t. I. P. Module while driving at night the interior and head lights start to flicker and eventually go completely out. I have 5 kids and have been almost hit head on when this happens because it happens without warning. I have had to sit beside the road for hours waiting on my lights to come back on and sometimes they never have. This is a life threatening emergency and Dodge wont listen to me. This is extremely dangerous and it is getting to the point the car is undrivable. I was told it would be $1,400 to repair module and that is why they will not do anything about it.
Tl-the contact owns a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, without warning the horn started to honk independently, the windshield wiper and washer fluid activated independently, the air condition unit turned off independently, and the transmission failed to shift as intended. The contact was able to turn the vehicle off and restart the vehicle, and the vehicle operated as intended for approximately ten minutes before the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code or duplicate the failure. Neither the dealer nor manufacturer was contacted to be notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage 159,654. Ah.
Faulty tipm , causing all electrical devices to quit working or operate intermittently on there own . Door safety locks to not open and trap occupants inside or not lock when vehical reaches speed. Vehicle no start and leave stranded and wrecker charges!.
Started van one morning and left running to warm up, came back outside and it had died. The wipers were mid-windshield. Turned the key and dash lights illuminated. The van would not start but made a ticking noise upon turning the key. 2 days later I stopped to get fuel in the van. It hesitated to start, but did start. Headlights were very dim and faded in and out. Put a code reader on the computer and it threw a low battery voltage code. Put a voltmeter on the battery and it read about 10 volts while the van was not running. While the van was running the voltmeter read about 14 volts so it is charging. Have had several instances where power windows would not work or power doors would not open and had to be manually opened.
The blower only works on heat, and only rear controls. Still not normal amount of heat. Front do not not work unless it is on defrost, barely enough heat displaced on wind shield causing visibility in the winter to be horrible. The amount of visibility is less than 45% of windshield. 10550 miles currently.
While parked in driveway, the horn started blowing erratically, headlights were on, and front and rear windshield wipers and washers operating. Door locks would not respond to remote. After s short period of trying to unlock the doors with the remote, they either responded to the remote or unlocked by themselves. At that point I attempted to turn the ignition on and start the vehicle. I started it and then turned it off but that did not stop the horn, wipers, etc. A few seconds after shutting the ignition off, everything stopped. Front and rear wipers did not return to park position until I manually turned them on and off. I started the engine again and had a check engine light with error codes related to the tcm, transmission control module. In addition, while driving, the heater blower motor intermittently stops working. All of this appears to be the result of a faulty tipm, totally integrated power module. This has happened twice in the last two weeks. First occurrence was 1/11/18 and second occurrence was 1/16/18. Searching online revealed that mine is not an isolated problem as there are many reported instances of tipm failures with similar symptoms.
I was driving on a busy main city road at night, traveling around 35 mph when my van shut off and the wipers and horn went crazy. I lost all power steering and brakes. Headlights also cut out. I struggled to get to the side of the road and into a parking lot. The front wipers stopped when I turned the key off, but the back wiper and horn continued for about 10 min. I did not have tools to disconnect the battery. Suddenly there was a flash of all the lights in the car and everything seemed to be back to normal with the exception of the check engine light appearing on the dash. I was able to restart the vehicle and drive another half mile to my home. This is the first time this has happened while driving, that I have lost all engine power and steering, it is not the first time the van has acted out. Wipers will suddenly start moving when I am driving or the horn with suddenly sound and radio will cut out. I have also had it go crazy with windshield wipers moving, horn honking, locks malfunctioning and fluid sprayed all over the car when I unlocked it. My wife once had my kids trapped inside of the care for 10 mins until I could I drive over and disconnected the battery. I have been told it is the tipm acting up. It has happened more than 10 times. I do not trust the vehicle. I have read about many more instances online. This could cause an accident if it was in rush hour or on a busier road.
The window regulator broken when I was driving to my house from work. I am just was trying to open window on the left side near driving seat and window dropped down. Immediately with broken window I was driving to the dealer daytona Dodge (james cohler 5730) they did not help me nothing and declined repair. This is was ridiculous!!!!!!! they told me I have to pay for like $ 400. 00 if I want to fix that!!!!!! this is not my fall. This is manufacture issues!!!! I am doing payments for my car still every month and never late. This is car new van!!!!! cost me$ 26000. And this is was emergency situation. This is car is not safety. I came back at home with out window (the window was inside left door). Please help me to fix that.

Several times the horn began sounding a long blare, the windshield wipers came on, the washer fluid started spraying, the doors locked, and the headlights and rear lights began flashing, all lasting several minutes. It began while driving and continued after I stopped the car, turned it off, and removed the key. The symptoms worsened about a week later when all of the above happened as well as the gear shift indicator lights began flashing, the stability control light came on, the check engine light came on, the bas light came on, and then the car shifted itself into neutral. This has happened several times and has become more frequent.
When stepping on the brake. It grinds and goes forward. The lights on the dashboaed comes on and off . On more than off.
I parked my van in the driveway at 10:30 a. M. Left to go pick up kids at 2:20 and the left rear window was all shattered on the ground and inside. I saw nothing of foul play. No rocks, bb's or any other objects. It just exploded. No one was around because the neighbors dogs would have been going wild. The weather was rainy and about 55 degrees so it wasn't the heat.
The rear wiper of my 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan randomally stopped working. After being charged $140 labor fee to track down the issue, the dealership told me the tipm is defective and not powering the wiper. It will code $1300 to replace this unit, which is conveniently not covered under warranty or extended warranty.
The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that both the front driver's and passenger's side window glasses opened automatically without warning. The windows failed to close. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the window regulator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 38,000. The VIN was not available.
Vehical's horn will sound, windchill wipers go off and spray washer fluid, and doors will lock themselves. This will happen whether the van is running or not. Started 1 and half years ago. Taken it to dealership twice and they cant find anything wrong with it.
