First the oil light came on then the engine shut off while I was in an intersection on city streets. I got the car restarted and it seemed to be fine. I checked the oil and ensured that it had plenty and even scheduled it for an oil change even though I only had approx 1500 miles on the previous changed oil. Then I ws on the fwy driving to work and when I was changing lanes the same thing happened. The oil light came on and the engine just shut off on me. I was barely able to get the vehicle off the fwy and thankfully there was an exit close by where I was able to exit without further damage or injury. This is a 2. 7l Dodge Intrepid and I am now being quoted by the dealership of a repair bill exceeding 850+ dollars.
