1 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2006 Dodge Magnum

Failure Date: 01/29/2025

Vehicle engine codes were all corrected properly in hopes of fixing the stalling issues. The vehicle was seemingly better for a few days. Upon driving the vehicle on the highway at normal highway speed, the vehicle suddenly began flickering and shutting off and on. The vehicle would shut off and on rapidly. Each time the vehicle turned back on it would accelerate causing the vehicle to jolt forward and stop rapidly. The car would not allow me to brake safely. The vehicle behind was within inches of a collision but their quick response to slam on their brakes and swerved to the shoulder thankfully missed. This is not an isolated event. Speaking to other hemi 5. 7 vehicle owners this is a very common issue. I had a baby in a carseat in the backseat who was jolted around slamming the back of his head into his car seat. This is so dangerously unsafe. Not dealership can find the problem even after replacing every part possible on these vehicles.

3 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2005 Dodge Magnum

Failure Date: 08/24/2022

The vehicle stalled during normal use traveling about 35 miles an hour right after an intersection. My husband was able to safely make it off the road as we live in a small town he did this by feathering the accelerator pedal. He is a mechanic so he was able to get it home by lightly tapping the pedal. If he pressed the pedal too hard the car stalled without warning so he lightly tapped on it and made it 2 blocks to our home where it has set in the driveway ever since. We spent over $1000 replacing parts such as the throttle body and the fuel pump and sending unit, egr, pcv, crankshaft sensor, plugs, injectors, intake seals, air intake temperature sensor and throttle body which include the throttle position sensor. Before we went for the cam sensor I decided to look up the issue and found so many with the same problem as us. We are veterans on a semi fixed income with a 10 month old daughter and this is our only vehicle we live in a super hot place in northern arizona and can not afford further repairs as every part seems to be quite expensive. I don't have the fear of it dying while transporting my daughter again as it won't even stay started since the first incident. Additionally there are no codes or dash indicator lights staying on. We will be contacting Dodge in kingman arizona today.

Case description I had a recalls on my 2008 Dodge Magnum for airbags, and ignition. Had it towed to comminwealth Dodge cause it stopped running while driving. They replaced the ignition, and supposedly replaced airbags also. The ignition allowed the car to then restart. However when I went to pick the car up it ran really badly, and had all the warning lights in the dash on. I confronted the dealership about this before even leaving the lot. They told me I would have to pay to have it looked at. I towed it to a different dealership where they found the main wiring harness pulled apart under the dash. After I picked the car up from them I've had the worst electrical problems imaginable. I've been stranded in ellensburg wa for 3 months, the battery died every 3-4 weeks. Fca will not even return any of my calls, and the dealership just tried to sell me a new car when I contact them. Please help.

They said it was the throttle body, they replaced it and I paid $168, the next morning I go to get in my car and the light comes back on and same problem happens they now say they must of gotten a faulty throttle body, changed it out again, next morning same thing happens, now they replace the main computer take it to Dodge get the computer reprogrammed and I pay $267. 00, guess what next day it does it again. Now Dodge has my car and they replace a solenoid-throttle body , I pay them $476. 00 after telling them the hole story they still replace the throttle body. Guess what the next morning I have my car towed back to Dodge dealership, doing the same thing. . . . 26 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2008 Dodge Magnum

Failure Date: 04/30/2015

I was taking my family (wife, 18 month old, 2 yr old, and 4 yr old) to get some ice cream after a home depot trip. As I turned left across a busy street the stereo suddenly blinked out, and the engine died, along with power steering, brakes, and every electrical function. It simply blinked like all power was lost for a moment, and was enough to kill the engine, and loose all power assist functions of the vehicle. Thankfully I had momentum and was able to coast into the side street with out being t-boned by on coming traffic. I was sent recall p57/NHTSA 14v-567 in the mail in November 2014, but there was and still is no remedy for this recall which appears to be directly linked to my incident. How many fatal accidents are going to occur between now and the fix for the known issue? Dodge can build a brand new [xxx] between November and today, but they cannot manufacture a $. 50 part. Did they not learn from chevy? information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

31 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2006 Dodge Magnum

Failure Date: 03/11/2014

After gas fill up, engine will die when stopping, and die in motion but restart itself, for 5 or 10 miles. This condition is ongoing since March 2014. Condition has also happened randomly on one occasion.

32 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2006 Dodge Magnum

Failure Date: 02/20/2014

After filling the car with gas, exited the gas station and proceeded through a parking lot at 10-15 mph and the engine stumbled followed immediatly by a check oil light (no "check engine" light) and engine stopped running. I coasted to a stop, and attempted to restart the engine; after several attempts it started and I drove home without further incident. This happens regularly if I fill the fuel tank from a nearly empty condition (at on near "e"). The engine will always stumble once before it stops running. As such, I'm relegated to excercising caution after any/all fill-ups (drive around a parking lot for example) and never have kids in the car. Filling the tank from a 1/4 full condition seems to help.

33 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2006 Dodge Magnum

I was driving when suddenly my car felt shaky and rough and started sputtering and losing idle unless I kept my foot on the gas. Car will start up but as soon as I take my foot off the gas it dies. Car was running excellently and next second this. No warning. My mileage was only 93899 at time of failure.

34 Engine And Engine Cooling problem of the 2006 Dodge Magnum

Failure Date: 12/14/2013

I had just picked up the car in question after purchasing at a used car lot then drove it about 20 miles before I stopped for fuel at which time I filled the tank then as I went to pull out into the lane of traffic and began to pick up speed and at about 30 mph the car began stuttering then it died. Luckily it started up before the cars coming hit me. I have since filed it up several times before and realized that it was doing the same thing after each time I filled up , I then began doing some searching on the internet and seen that others were having the same issues so that led me to file this complaint. Can someone please look into this before someone gets seriously hurt?.
