1 Engine Failure problem of the 2006 Dodge Magnum

Failure Date: 07/24/2015

I have a 2006 Dodge Magnum r / t v8 5. 7lts. On July 24, 2015 I was using my car as usual, I went to the bank, I went to turn off the vehicle mail when I return to my car I'll lights on and the engine failing with an internal noise. I turn off the engine immediately, I call my mechanic and tells me to call a tow truck and to take the vehicle. When the mechanic check the car informs me that he will open the motor. When you open the engine informs me damage a valve seat and it had damaged the piston. The vehicle has never been heated, before turning it off in the mail was working very well. The car only has 60,000 miles, has its daily maintenance, the vehicle is not in daily use. Take valve caps fix the machine shop and was told that the tops of these engines hemi has manufacturing defect and is not been the only one with that kind of problem. Chrysler (triangle) puerto rico dealer is aware of this problem but have not done anything about it.

2 Engine Failure problem of the 2005 Dodge Magnum

Failure Date: 07/10/2015

I was stopped at light. The light turned green. I pressed the accelerator pedal. Something exited the passenger side of engine block causing a large hole. Catastrophic engine failure ensued. I turned the ignition to the off position. I turned the hazard lights on. I coasted to the nearest side road where I stopped the vehicle. I finished my morning coffee waiting for a tow truck there were no accidents, crashes, fires or injuries other than that done to my hemi pride.

4 Engine Failure problem of the 2006 Dodge Magnum

Failure Date: 11/16/2007

My Dodge Magnum has about 47,000 miles. I noticed in November that I was getting a faint ticking noise from the engine bay while the car was sitting idle. A couple weeks later, it started getting louder and progressed when the vehicle was accelerated. Took it to the dealership, and they had no clue. My car ended up being at the dealership for a whole month. Finally, they figured out that it was the rocker arms (all of them) which had broken pins and had to be replaced along with the lifter. This should not happen in a vehicle that only has 47,000 miles. The only thing that saved me an arm and a leg was the fact that the dealership couldn't figure it out and cut me some slack. My engine had to be broken down and put back together 3 times before they got it right. Have heard similar issues about this, so it needs to be made aware that the rocker arms fail on these vehicles very early as well as the lifter. If gone unchecked, could've caused engine failure. I never missed an oil change and have since switched to synthetic oil to be safe.
